Chapter Three

Birdkit woke up to find herself in some sort of den. It had straight walls, but she didn't find any cats with her. She struggled up to her legs. Whispering of some kind was behind the walls. Birdkit wondered closer right to find out. Tasting the air, she noticed she wasn't the only cat. But who could be those cats? Birdkit walked around. The stone hard ground prickled at her paws. Her still sleepy eyes were still halfway closed. She watched blearily for someone, not just anybody though.
Before she knew it, a tortoise shell tom with great big beautiful amber eyes leaped towards her and pinned Birdkit down, along with pulling her down to the ground so she was flipped over. He then flipped her back so their muzzles were nearly touching and she could feel his misty breath spreading across her face. He then examined her, let go, and began to lick his paw.
"Who are you?" He managed to mumble as he washed.
The first thing everybody asks, Birdkit thought.
"I'm Birdkit, I just woke up here... I-I don't, please, just don't hurt me," she struggled to meow.
The tom stopped by washing and blinked. "My name is Drop." He then added a whisper to himself. "Hmmm, Birdkit, such an odd name..."
Birdkit took in offence.
"Well, I'm sorry I don't have such a good name, kittypet!"
Drop's eyes widened and he dropped down with his chest positioned down on the ground and his tail high up in the air. He waved in furious and pounced towards her. His claws quickly unsheathed and he scraped across Birdkit's spine with no hesitation. Blood quickly gushed out of her back and she fell helplessly to the ground. Drop seemed to feel no regret.
Everything was included in his expression, anger, sadness for somewhat reason, hate, and even a hint of happiness.
"W-why?" Birdkit whimpered shakily.
Drop's eyes suddenly narrowed and he fell down on his back breathing hardly and shaking. Birdkit jumped back in surprise. Maybe he was having a seizure, what Foxtail had taught her about once. Drop continued and Birdkit trembled, not knowing what to do. She rested her paw on his front leg and Drop suddenly stopped. He got up and blinked twice. Then he shook his head.
"You're still here?" Drop asked her tilting his head.
"Yeah, why not?" Birdkit mewed as she pushed herself to be tall.
"I would've thought you'd run away, after you know," he said slowly.
Birdkit was not usually brave, but this cat harassed her, she'll stay.
She only turned her head to the entrance. A small cat door, which she learned from Drop, was placed right there. She trotted over and slithered through. Drop continued to walk with her, as they stared outside for about a minute or two, noticing that it would probably take a while to find the clan. Drop knew completely nothing of the clans before, but was curious enough to come with her. The journey begun.

Sorry dudes! The chapter took so long to make because you know, I'm a slow writer and I have better things to do with my life.
