"Stark, we're on your three, headed northeast", Sadie informed him from the quinjet. "What? Did you stop for a drive-through?" Tony asked. "Swing up Park. I'm gonna lay 'em out for you". They drove the quinjet and unloaded the gun from under it and fired. They made it to Stark Tower. They saw Thor and Loki fighting outside it. They flew closer and Loki shot at them with his sceptor. One of the wings was now on fire. Steve, Rachel and Grace held on as Clint, Natasha and Sadie tried to control the quinjet. They were going downward and eventually crash-landed on the ground. They quickly got out. "We got to get back up there", Steve said as they ran. They heard a loud mechanical growl and they looked up. A giant hole formed in the sky and a big metal snake-like creature flew out of it. A bunch of smaller creatures jumped off of it, scaling the buildings around them. "Stark, are you seeing this?" Steve asked Tony. "Seeing. Still working on believing", Tony replied. "Where's Banner? Has he shown up yet?"

"Banner?"

"Just keep me posted"

They hid behind a cab. "Loki", Steve said as more of his army flew past. "They're fish in a barrel down there". Some of the army landed near them. "We've got this. It's good. Go", Grace said to Steve. "Do you think you can hold them off?" Steve asked them. "Captain, it would be my genuine pleasure", Clint said, preparing his arrows and shooting one of them. Steve and Rachel jumped down onto a car and rolled onto the ground.

Clint was helping people out of a bus while Grace, Natasha and Sadie were shooting at the army. Clint joined them, shooting his arrows. "Just like Budapest all over again", Sadie commented. "You and I remember Budapest very differently", he replied.

Steve and Rachel ran through the battle, dodging hits and jumped onto a cop car where two cops were trying to decide what to do. "You need men in these buildings", Steve said. "There are people inside and they're going to be running right into the line of fire. You take them to the basements or through the subway. You keep them off the streets". Suddenly, two creatures from the army started attacking them. Rachel kicked one in the face and it fell off the car. Steve hit one with his shield and chopped it's arm off with the edge. "I need men in those buildings", one of the cops said. "Lead the people down and away from the streets. We're going to set up a perimeter all the way down to 39th Street".

Clint, Natasha, Grace and Sadie fought off the army. Steve and Rachel jumped in to help. Suddenly, lightning struck the army and Thor landed near them. "What's the story upstairs?" Steve asked him. "The power surrounding the Cube is impenetrable", Thor said. "Thor's right. We got to deal with these guys", Tony said. "How do we do this?" Grace asked. "As a team", Steve answered. "I have unfinished business with Loki", Thor said. "Yeah? Well, get in line", Clint said. "Save it", Steve warned. "Loki's going to keep this fight focused on us, and that's what we need. Without him these things could run wild. We got Stark up top. He's going to need us to...". He stopped talking when they heard a motorcycle approaching. Bruce was on the motorcycle and got off, coming over to them. "So, this all seems horrible", he commented. "I've seen worse", Sadie replied.

"Sorry"

"No, we could use a little worse"

He smiled at her. "Stark, we got him", Steve informed. "Banner?" Tony said.

"Just like you said"

"Then tell him to suit up. I'm bringing the party to you"

They saw Tony fly towards them with the large creature following him. "I don't see how that's a party", Rachel said. "Dr Banner", Steve said. "Now might be a really good time for you to get angry". "That's my secret, Captain", Bruce replied. "I'm always angry". He morphed into the hulk, his shirt ripping as he punched the creature. It started to flip over, about to fall on top of them. "Hold on", Tony said, shooting at it and they ducked as debris fell over them.

The Avengers gathered together in a circle, ready to fight...together.
