Darkfrost ripped at the ground. His claws were clotted with dirt, some of them broken and torn from his paws. He scowled at the sun, it's blinding light and searing heat punted down on his back. He pulled on the ivy tendril impatiently as Badgersun watched from the shade of an overhanging tree. Darkfrost hissed as he ripped out another claw. He frowned and watched as his blood dyed the dirt a brown crimson. He licked his paw and hissed impatiently. How long would Badgersun want to watch him tear update dirt. He studied the black and white warrior, he was asleep! Darkfrost began the pad away. Now was his chance to escape. He almost stepped on a twig but managed to miss it, he crept away. He was suddenly yanked back by the ivy tendril still around his beck. Teeth sank into his ear. Tears shot to his eyes. "Trying to escape are we?"  Badgersun snarled. "N-no. Just looking for more d-dirt..", he mumbled. Badgersun laughed and dug his claws into Darkfrost's shoulders. Why was everyone obsessed with his shoulders? The large tom flawed his shoulders. "How about you finish your job and then we can go back and tell Fawnshadow about your failed attempt.", he said with a wicked smile. Darkfrost widened his eyes. "Oh c-come on B-Badgersun let's not be hasty.", Darkfrost stuttered. Badgersun laughed, it sounded like a monster roaring to life. "I don't think I'm being hasty.", the warrior flashed his yellow eyes. Darkfrost remembered the last time he had tried to escape and Fawnshadow heard about it, his fur was just now growing back to its original length. He looked up at Badgersun with pleading eyes. "Please, Badgersun, don't tell her.", he begged. Badgersun looked down at him. "Are you begging?", he asked. Darkfrost gulped. "Yes.", he mumbled quietly. Badgersun  growled, "I didn't hear you". Darkfrost felt a tear escape. "Yes, I'm begging you. Don't tell her!", he said much louder. Badgersun smiled. "Get control of yourself, then we'll head back to camp.", he hissed. Darkfrost nodded and breathed deeply.
-Back at camp-
Darkfrost was surprised to see quite a commotion. He didn't really want to osee what it was because he didn't want to draw attention to himself, but of course good old Badgersun dragged him uo to the center of the circle formed in the center of camp. He ripped the ivy from around Darkfrost's neck and shoved him into the center. Darkfrost skidded and got his footing. Crouching in the center he looked around wildly. He saw Poppypaw frowning at him. He frowned as well. Suddenly the circle split and Fawnshadow came walking through. "Hello Darkfrost", she said coolly. He backed away from her. He heard a few snickers. The deputy dipped her head gracefully. "You fear to much Darkfrost, we have finally broken your spirit."  She said with a victorious smile. That was their plan, to break his spirit. He frowned she was right, he was hardly the proud headstrong cat he once was. He backed up again as she came closer. He bumped into Badgersun who hooked his claws in his haunches and propelled him forward. Darkfrost almost crashed into Fawnshadow but she pinned him before he hit her. She laughed. It was getting difficult to breathe. "What happened to you?", he said without thinking. Fawnshadow stopped. "What are you talking about?", she asked. He gulped. "You used to be so kind and understanding, now your cruel and hateful.", he said closing one eye. She swiped him across the muzzle. "You do not use those words against your deputy!", she hissed. Badgersun came up to her side. "He has a point Fawnshadow, as much as I'd hate to admit it, you have changed.", he said. Fawnshadow stepped back. Darkfrost almost got up but Badgersun brought a large paw crashing down on his gut, winding him. He shut his eyes as the world spun. Fawnshadow frowned. "I am sorry if I've been treating any of you difderently.",, she apologized. "Apologie accepted", Darkfrost managed only to be winded again as another massive came down on his gut once more. Badgersun hissed at him and turned to Fawnshaodw. "You're  fine, no one has been mistreated.", the black and white cat said to her. "I have", Darkfrost muttered, and rolled away before Badgersun could hit him again.  Fawnshadow frowned. She padded over to Darkfrost. He backed up. She snarled, "Sit down!". Darkfrost plopped down. Several warriors snickered. Fawnshadow smiled, "Good boy". Darkfrost bristled. "Look if your going to rip me to shreds, can we get it over with, I would really like to eat something and then sleep for a moon or two, so whenever your ready."  He said with a scowl. Fawnshadow matched his scowl. "How about we have a little duel?", she asked. Unsheathing her claws. "My pleasure", he said unsheathing his own claws. Fawnshadow smiled and launched at him. Pinning him on the ground. "You've grown weak, forgotten your training.", she said. Darkfrost growled. "I never thought I would have to fight my old mentor for my own life.", he snarled. Fawnshadow relaxed slightly, her eyes flashing with memory of the little black tabby she had trained. This gave Darkfrost enough time. He shoved her off and pinned her. "I haven't forgotten everything.", he said with a smile. Her scowl transformed into something mixed between sadness and regret. She gazed up into his blue eyes. He frowned. "Fawnshadow, I never thought I would be in this situation.", he whispered. Fawnshadow continued to stare at him. "I won't hurt you, I can't hurt you. Even if my life depends on it.", he said quietly and then got off of her. His head low he waited to be attacked. No one moved. Fawnshadow stood up and stared him down. Her eyes glimmered with something unreadable. She frowned sadly and flicked her tail. "Bind him.", she said with a sigh. Darkfrost didn't protest as he was josteled around and bound. He was knocked to the ground and dragged across camp. His paws all tied at one point. He looked at Poppypaw who raced after him, her green gaze bewildered and afraid. He was dragged all the way to a tree where he was tied up. Beesting, Waspnettle and Branchlight sneared. "So now your to weak to kill anyone. You must be ashamed of yourself, can't kill your mentor but you could kill an apprentice. Darkfrost beared his fangs. Struggling against his binds he reached out. He was just able to swipe Branchlight across the muzzle, leaving a deep gash. The tom yelped in surprise and jumped back. Darkfrost hissed as he paced his claws unsheathed ready to attack if anyone came near him.

-A few days later-

Darkfrost stumbled. Knocking a clump of dirt back into the hole he was digging. He cursed. "Great starclan!", he exclaimed as he yawned. He hadn't slept well. He was always lightheaded and dizzy after a while and he hadn't eaten properly on days. He wanted to leave, either the clan or the world. He just wanted it to end. He jumped into the hole and began pushing dirt back out of the hole. Suddenly something crashed into the hole. He leaped back knocking more dirt into the hole. He scowled. More work for him. He saw a white she-cat that had a almost lilac tint to her. Her blueish purple eyes were confused and bewildered. Darkfrost cleared his throat. She jumped and looked up at him, and then crouched into a hardly defensincmve stance, "if you hurt me, I'll... I'll kill you!", she didn't even sound remotely sure if it was possible. Darkfrost frowned how could he intimidate her, looking at his form, he was weak, starved and exhausted, he couldn't take on a kit. "I'm Darkfrost, I'm not gonna hurt you", he said quietly as he began to push more dirt out of the hole. The cat stood up and brushed of her sides with her tail. "I'm Wish, why are you digging a hole?", she asked as she came up to him and began sniffing his fur. Darkfrost stepped away and shook out his fur. "I'm in trouble, I have to dig this hole for Starclan knows why.", he said with a scowl. Wish frowned. "What's Starclan?", she asked. Darkfrost looked at her. "You don't know what Starclan is?!", he exclaimed. She merely shrugged and began to push some dirt aside. Darkfrost shook his head and pushed more dirt aside. Badgersun stomped up to edge of the hole knocking dirt into the hold onto Darkfrost's head. Darkfrost hissed and looked up. "Hello friend.", he said sarcastically. Badgersun snarled and knocked more dirt onto Darkfrost. "Whose the she-cat?", he asked. Wish dipped her head. "I am wish, I seemed to have stumbled into your hole.", she said with a embarrassed smile. Darkfrost grinned at her. Badgersun smiled. "Both of you get out of the hole and we'll head back to camp.", he said. Darkfrost nodded and climbed out, helping Wish out as well. Badgersun grabbed the ivy tendril and started padding torwards camp. Darkfrost turned to Wish. "So where do you come from?", he asked. She smiled, "Oh you know all around, never had a distinct home.", she said. Darkfrost nodded. She looked at him. "What about you?", she asked him. He flashed a sly grin. "I'm a rougue, but I grew up a clan cat.", he said and turned to face forward again. The white she-cat looked puzzled. "Then why do they treat you like this?", she whispered. Darkfrost shrugged but answered her a moment later. "They think I killed my brother.", he whispered, his eyes on the ground. Rage boiled in her violet eyes. "That's awful!", she hissed quietly. Darkfrost merely nodded. Once they reached camp several cats began snarling. Wish inched closer to Darkfrost and flattened her ears. Darkfrost chuckled. "They aren't snarling at you, they're snarling at me.", he said with a flick of his tail. "Hello, good to see you too", he said sarcastically. Badgersun turned around and cuffed him over the ear. Darkfrost hissed dead looked up. Wish had gasped when he had been hit, he looked at her smiling at her disbelief. "You're bleeding!",  she exclaimed. He nodded. Fawnshaodw walked up to Wish and him after speaking to Badgersun, Bearstar following after her. Fawnshadow smiled. "Welcome to CaveClan wish, we are happy to meet you. I am The deputy, Fawnshadow, and this is the leader, Bearstar.", she said with a smile. Wish dipped her head in greeting. "I'm glad to be here, you all seem like err, wonderful cats.", she said with an uneasy glances to Darkfrost. He merely smiled like a fox. Fawnshadow got the wrong message. "Darkfrost won't harm you, isn't that right Darkfrost?", her voice hardened. Darkfrost rolled his eyes but nodded in agreement. Wish smiled uneasily. "Would you mind if I stay with you a while?"  She asked. Fawnshaodw was delighted.  "Not at all! Come I will help you get a den set up!", she said leading the white cat away. Wish looked back at Darkfrost who waved his tail in farewell and turned to a warrior with a smug expression on his face.

-time skip-
Darkfrost stumbled and spun around. He beared his fangs. "What was that?", Branchlight snarled. Darkfrost licked the blood off of his lip, and hissed. "I'm just getting started.", he snarled back and launched. Pinning Branchlight to the ground. The grey tabby hissed. Darkfrost yowled as jaws clamped down on his tail. Dragging him off of the warrior. Badgersun shoved Darkfrost to the ground with a large paw on his spine. "Branchlight, you know that Fawnshadow  said not to pick fights with Darkfrost.", he scolded the younger warrior. "And you know better than to accept the fights.", he snarled in Darkfrost's face. Darkfrost blew a bit of fur from his eyes. "Well he would have shredded me if I didn't"  He muttered. Badgersun pressed down on his spine, causing Darkfrost tilted hiss in pain. "Maybe I should have let him!", he snarled. Darkfrost breathed heavily. Badgersun related the pressure and let Darkfrost up. "Go to The medicine den and get your wounds dealt with. Don't let me see you in anymore fights, or else you'll get it.", the black and white tom hissed. Darkfrost stuck out his tounge and stalked off.

Wish watched as the black tabby stalked off. She had wanted to say something to him, but the large warrior named Badgersun nearly crushed him. She thought it would be better for both of their she's if she left her many unanswered questions to be answered another time. She curled up in the best in the den that had been cleared out for her. She caught one more glimpse of Darkfrost before she fell into a deep sleep.
