Leave One Alive
They materialized in the throne room, Pitch was overjoyed, but Jack was fighting the headache that seemed to grow. He groaned, sweat starting to bead on his forehead. Pitch turned to Jack, his excitement dying.
"Frost?" He asked.
Jack looked up at him his breathing coming out labored. "I believe... the other frost is fighting back." Jack groaned, glaring at the ground. Pitch chuckled, stepping down from the throne. Once in front of Jack, he gripped a fistful of his hair and brought his face up to his.
"Fight back. If he wins, it wont be pretty." Pitch threatened.
Jack smirked, his smile saying it all. "Like hell he is going to win. This darkness is a dark desire I find invigorating, Sire."
Pitch grinned wide, releasing Jack's hair, turning away from him as he walked up the stairs to his throne. "You know I have changed my mind on the whole call me Sire thing." He turned to Jack, seeing he was slowly gaining his composure again. "I think i preferred Master."
Jack let out a sigh, straightening up, wiping his head of sweat. "Well, seems the man inside me has quiet down. Shall we talk about our next plan?" Jack's eyes glowed purple, his smile growing dark. "Master."
Pitch felt a sense hes never felt hearing Jack call him Master. It gave such a better ring to him than Sire. Jack reached for his staff, twirling it in his hands. Pitch leaned forward on his throne, pointing at the globe. "Where would you like to hit next? This one can be your choice." Pitch explained.
Jack nodded, walking over to the globe. He spotted another town, this one close to a big city. He pointed at it. Pitch walked over, looking at where Jack was pointing. "Seems like a good place to hit next. A bit bigger, but I believe you will make quick work of it." He turned away, pausing at the steps. "Oh. But keep one alive. I want fear to be known. If one is alive to tell the story, it shall spread."
Jack grumbled. "Keeping one alive? That's a tall order, Master."
Pitch looked over his shoulder, his facial expression darkening. "I said I want them alive. Not uninjured." Pitch explained.
Jack got what he meant and bowed. "Yes, Master." He looked over to see Laika was raring to go. "Come Laika, we have some buisiness to attend to." Laika appeared at his side and Jack hopped on. Clutching her close. With Jack secured on her back, she used the sand to teleport where Jack suggested she go.
When Jack materialized in the middle of town, it was bustling with people who were unaware of the slaughter that will take place. Jack simply twirled his staff in hand, before placing the tip of it on the ground. In a fluent motion he swiped up, revealing spikes of both nightmare sand and Ice mixed shoot towards unsuspecting people. Jack heard the spikes come in contact with flesh, hearing the satisfying screams of locals.
He jumped off of Laika, placing his staff on his shoulders, resting his arms on his staff. He leaned back on a statue, looking at his wolf. "Go on, Laika. Its playtime." He spoke.
Laika bowed her head, jumping into town. Using her powers which Jack learned on the last command was her tail could grow and turn into sharp spears almost. She could teleport using the sand and because she has some if Jack's powers, she could harden both her teeth, tail or nails into ice, causing more damage. Jack couldn't be more proud of his Nightmare familiar.
Jack watched as Laika tore apart some Locals and he was starting to feel left out. He spotted a teenager standing against the wall. He smirked, kicking off of the statue and making his way to the man. To his surprise the man saw him.
"W-who are you?" The teenager asked.
Jack let his smile grow wider. "Just someone doing some population control." Jack lifted his staff and materialized an icicle on the end of his staff. He pointed it at the terrified teen. "And I think I've found my story teller." Jack leaned in, seeing the horror written on his face. "Tell the world, the devil in disguise has finally arrived. This world is under our command." He whispered, before stabbing the teen in the stomach. The teen screamed. Jack made a face, pulling the staff out slowly.
"Screaming is so what a human would do. It's quite a headache. It wouldnt hurt to stay quiet." Jack teased, watching the teen slide down to the pavement. Jack leaned against his staff, pulling his hood up. "That's more like it."
Laika appeared at his side, dripping and covered in blood. Pained groans could be heard, but Jack felt the cold and dark aura around the town. Another slaughter successful. He made a sigil out of ice and sand, hardening it with the sand. He looked at the teen, dropping the sigil in front of the teen. It was a tribal rabbit being choked by a snake.
He bent down, seeing the teen was on the verge of passing out. "When people ask who did this to your town, you show them that sigil. Fail to do so and I will return and torture you until you take your last, painful breath. Understood?" Jack asked, his voice unpleasantly monotone.
The teen swallowed hard, but nodded as he clutched the sigil to his chest. Jack patted the teen's blonde hair. "Good boy." He said, standing up and jumping onto Laika.
"Laika. Home." He demanded and as fast as he appears, he disappeared.
******Guardians********
The Guardians were still not over the scene they saw at the town near the lake. Seeing Jack so close to Pitch had them all fuming. Especially Bunny who looked at Jack like a menace now. Of course Jack was being corrupted, but knowing what he did to those people, made him hate Jack.
"What are we going to do?" Tooth asked.
Bunny sighed. "I dont know. Pitch has never been this evil. I knew he was dark, I just didnt know how dark until now. Jack couldn't have come up with that. It just seems impossible."
North groaned, leaning back on the chair. "Ve dont know what Jack is capable of, now. He is not himself." North explained.
As if on cue, they got another alarm, as the looked at the globe. Seeing the town, they quickly got ready for action. Using one of Norths snow globes, they appeared at the town, but to their horror, it was too late. Blood was everywhere and ice was blown in places. There was very little ice but the destruction and the amount of blood and bodies, made them want to throw up again. Tooth actually did, not wanting to see another slaughter like this.
They heard a groan, all of them shooting their heads to to a blonde boy who was huffing, holding his side. They rushed over to the teenager, bending down and grabbing his attention.
The terns eyes shot wide as he held up the symbol. Bunny took it from the teens shaking hands. "Where did you get this, mate?" Bunny asked.
The teen coughed. "A... A man with... black hair said to show it to anyone who asks.... what happened here. He had a staff and a giant black and white w-wolf with him." The teen whispered.
"Was there anyone else with him?" Asked Tooth.
The boy shook his head no. "It was just him... he told me to... Tell the world, the devil in disguise has finally arrived.... This world is under our command. And then he disappeared." The teen spoke, coughing much more violently.
North sighed. "By the looks of this town. He just left."
Bunny slammed his paw into the ground, glaring. "He is out of control. They just slaughtered a town a few hours ago. They did it again within the same two day period." Bunny stood up and looked over at the Gaurdians. "We need to stop him and fast."
The others nodded. "We do, but first we need to get this young man to the hospital." Tooth explained.
Bunny nodded. North stepped forward and picked up the boy, as they started towards the nearest hospital. They were all silent, only one thing on their mind.
Where were they going to strike next? And how can they prevent another slaughter?
