Sonaria lived an almost normal fillyhood she was raised in Rainbow Falls and went to flight camp with her twin sister Lily. She went to school and prayed each night to get her Cutie Mark. As the years went on ponies in her class got their cutie marks by the time she was 10 she still didn't have her mark even though almost everyone else did but she didn't care because she had her sister with her and she also had a baby sister who was learning how to speak. Sonaria loved her little sister almost as much as she loved Lily, almost because Star had fried her teddy bear with her baby magic and she was still angry about that. But that all changed on Heartswarming eve when Lily got an art set from granny Ember, she immediately opened it up and the next day she began to paint a portrait of the garden and as she finished the stunning painting of the garden she was having so much fun she didn't notice the beautiful painted lily cutie mark on her flank but as her mom walked out to hang up the washing she noticed and Lily jumped and squealed as Sonaria watched as her best friend, her only friend get sent away to Cadences Art School in the Crystal Empire. She broke down after Lily left, it felt as if she had lost half of herself, she slipped into a depressed state after a year.

Every holiday they would go and visit Lily if they could, she was so happy but Sonaria was devastated but put on a mask of joy so she didn't ruin the trip. It was their 14 birthday and Sonaria had given up with finding her Cutie Mark, her sister Star had just gotten hers she now was an actress and acted in some of the biggest movies, Snowdrop, Lullaby of a princess and Children of the night to name a few even though she was only 7. Sonaria read the newspaper while on the train it was nothing different the vigilantes known as the Mane 6 stop Discord from creating chaos in Ponyville by shutting down his drug business and now he is facing 200 million years in Tarturas Prison and these 'heroes' identities are still unknown as she read all the latest reports she reads that Luna and Celestia are still in disagreement about the Political system, she turns over the pages to read the sport page it says Ponyville beat Appleloosa in Buckball and the next match against Rainbow Falls will be interesting, closing the newspaper she closes her eyes and has a nap as it is still a long way until the Crystal Empire.

She and her family go to a coffee shop just down the road of the school, the sisters stared at each other gawking at their differences, they used to be identical. They used to have a light bluey, grey coats and pink and white curly manes the only thing different were their eyes Lily had  misty sea blue eyes with flecks of green but Sonaria had dark green eyes with gold and red flecks. Now Lily was taller than Sonaria, her were wings splattered with  paint and her mane still curly and pink but was tied up in a messy bun(like the one fluttershy wore in Flutter Brutter) and was wearing a light pink sweater. Sonaria on the other hoof, her dark pink hair was cut into a bob, she was wearing a black hoodie to cover her blank flank and her coat had grown considerably darker. The waiter thankfully came and broke the very awkward silence. After they had lunch they went to Lily apartment and they opened presents, Sonaria git a book and Lily got a new paint set and canvas. Sonaria went to turn on the radio and listen to the news when a very scary news flash came on the radio," move right now pack your bags this very moment and leave go to the safe camps as the Night Dreamers have begun to riot and the Day Prancers are holding them back, go now, as this means war" we left faster then we ever moved before we teleported our most important items here put them in bags and left, I knew what I was to do, it was time for a change.
