27 - Strong Accusations

"She was like this when I found her."
"You don't know what happened?"
"I smelled blood and came to see what happened. Like I said, she was like this when I got here. I found you because I figured you'd want to be here."
"Kisola? Kisola, wake up... Can you hear me?"
Kisola opened her eyes a little, seeing Tsume over her.
"Father..."
"Are you alright? What happened? Why do you look like this?"
Kisola made a face when she felt the pain in her stomach and hissed, putting her hand over the wound. Seeing her move her hand, Tsume looked and saw the gash from the knife. He touched it briefly and breathed in.
"Are you in a lot of pain?" She nodded. "I can't help you if you look like that. I need you to turn back."
"T-turn... back?"
"I don't think she knows." Another voice said.
Tsume made a face at Satuya, who was standing on the wall out of the way. Tsume turned his attention back to his daughter.
"Kisola, you've turned into a kitsune." Kisola's eyes widened in fear. "Don't be afraid; I won't hurt you, but you have to turn back into a human before I can help you."
"She might be a kitsune to keep herself from dying. If she turns back, the wound might be worse."
"Then do you have any suggestions as to what I'm supposed to do?" Tsume snapped.
"I dunno."
"Then what help are you, Satuya?!" Tsume growled, whirling on his son. "If you're just going to stand there and do nothing, then what use are you? Unless you have something to help us out, get out of here and find someone who can help. Not Shintoe; I know she's the one who did this."
Satuya just stared at his father, well aware of who he was to him, and walked over to Kisola, who was shaking in pain. He knelt onto the bed and put his hand on her face softly.
"I understand. You're scared of what's happened and you don't know what to do but you have to turn back or we can't help you. I'm not scared of you, Kisola, and neither is Father." Kisola's eyes widened a little. "I know... I know all about him. We're siblings, you and I... Don't worry about what's happened, just focus on turning back so we can help you. Good... you're doing well..."
Kisola eventually turned back into her human form, naked and exposed, but as Satuya had expected, her body had turned to preserve her life. As soon as she was completely human, she coughed blood and blood oozed from her wound. He moved and Tsume ran over, covering her with the blanket and picking her up. He stopped in front of Satuya before he left for Natomi's room.
"You know then?"
"Yes."
"When?"
"I followed you to your 'secret' meeting. For ninja, none of you even realized I was there."
Tsume slid his eyes to the side. "Is that what you think?"
He said no more as he went to Natomi.

Natomi slide his door open and his eyes widened as Tsume brought Kisola into the room.
"What in the hell..."
"She was stabbed by someone; most likely, Shintoe."
"The Enchantress?"
"Natomi, I need you to save my daughter."
"I don't know-"
"You're the son of the doctor. You had to have gained something from him and I know you've helped ninjas in the past when they were wounded and we couldn't get home in time."
"I know enough but not enough! We would need my father or Inoue to get this done. I can try my best, Tsume, but I can't guarantee her life. If you can get me a few things then I'll begin at once but..."
"Time is all I need. What do you need?"
He told him what he needed and Tsume left, running into Satuya.
"Move-"
"If she's a kitsune, then she could heal herself."
Tsume turned around. "No. She can't. Because she doesn't understand anything. She doesn't have a shard of a cursed sword on her to keep her from dying." Satuya narrowed his eyes at him. "Oh yes, I know what you've done and what you've become."
"If you hadn't left me all alone then I wouldn't have become it."
"I don't have time to talk to you right now."
"You never had time for me at all!" Tsume stopped, turning back to Satuya. "You always saved your precious Kisola, but when it came time for me, you never tried. You left me, abandoned me, and I had to figure my shit out all on my own."
"Is that what you think?"
"That's what it looks like. Even now, when the revelation of who you were came to be, you invited Kisola for that and left me out of it."
"Kisola found out on her own, as you are well aware, and you couldn't be patient enough to wait and let me tell you myself."
"I heard you in there telling them that you wouldn't tell me unless I asked! If I had never asked you about it, would you have told me anything? Seriously? Would you have said a damned thing to me about who you were to me and who Kisola was? If the emperor hadn't suggested that we be together as husband and wife, would you have told either of us?"
"No. I wouldn't have. I will talk with you later, Satuya. Your sister is dying and if it was the opposite way, I would be the same. If you will give me some time, I will talk with you. Right now, I have to find a doctor I can trust."
"The only trustworthy doctor is Natomi's father or Inoue. No one in this place is trustworthy."
"If I knew where the two of them were then I would find them. But I can't. I can't do everything."
Satuya clenched his fists. "You are a sorry excuse for a ninja if I have ever met one! I'm horrified that I came from you. They used to tell me how much of a great ninja you were, the best and brightest but now... now you're nothing but a conniving middle-aged man who's lost his ability to even perform the task he was able to do from birth. I hope Takuma finds out about you and destroys you."
Satuya suddenly found himself against the wall, Tsume pinning him up with a surprisingly strong grip. Satuya struggled under his father's arm as Tsume glared at him. He didn't let up and Satuya found himself starting to lose consciousness. It was one of the few times he had truly been scared.
"It seems that this 'middle-aged, conniving man' still has the strength to take care of a whelp like you. I left you with my father so that you could grow up and be the ninja that I knew I no longer could be. It looks like I need to have a talk with his ability to train his grandchild." Tsume finally let go and Satuya sank to the floor, holding his neck and coughing. "You've let that cursed sword make you believe that you're unstoppable, invulnerable, and invincible. Let me tell you one thing, boy: if you didn't have a shard of the blade within your body somewhere, you'd have died a long time ago. You have no skill other than the primal rage that sword gives you. Don't mistake it for talent. Now, if you're finished, I'm going to try and find someone to help your sister."
He walked away as Satuya growled, his skin glowing bright and his nails extending, pointing and turning black. He looked at his hand and clenched it, trying to keep his composure. He didn't need to turn in the palace. He thought for a moment and decided what he should do. I'll show that piece of shit... he grumbled, walking away.

keep in mind that satuya is actually only about fifteen or so so he's going through that whole rebellious stage and stuff.
