The Forest
Jorryn and the others made it to the forest by 6:00 PM. They were tired, hungry, cold, and wet (it had rained on the way). They ventured deeper into the forest, each taking turns tying a ribbon to a tree to make a pathway to remember where they went, and how to get out. That was a stupid plan. This was the Dark Woman's forest. She controls everything in this forest, but the boundaries of the forest is where her evil magic ends. Until she gets The Eye, her magic was limited. When she does, this universe and all other universes were doomed forever. Anyway, Jorryn, Brandon, Jace, MaKenzi, and Mack ventured deep into the forest, shivering and drenched. It seemed as if the rain was beating down on them, hammering them into the ground. They came across a cave, a small one, but durable. They took a vote and decided it would suffice.
A low growl came from the cave. Two big, red, glowing, blood-thirsty eyes opened. No, three. No! Four! Five? Six. Seven? It's hard to tell. They were all big. Glowing. Hungry. Many, many wolves appeared. They were not normal. You could see their bones from the skin. Their teeth were razors, gleaming under the light of their glowing, blood red eyes. They growled, then the wolf at the front of the pack, which they assumed to be the alpha wolf, seemed to bark an attack bark. Then, all of the wolves leaned back, bared their teeth, and charged at the pack of friends. They all stood in shock and fear, their muscles refusing to move. Then, Jace shouted, going against her fear, "RUNNNNNNN!" They all were shocked into action, scrambling for safety. They came across a big tree, and they suddenly remembered their training exercises from Mr. Rambley's PE class. Thank you, Mr. Rambley they thought, as they struggled to climb the tree. The wolves climbed too, faster then them all. "FASTER!" Mack cried, not knowing these creatures and how to treat their bites. They all pushed for that ounce of strength, and they all found it. They went faster than they ever went as they fought - err, climbed - for their life. They were met with a big branch, which was met with no other trees. "We're trapped!" Brandon cried, looking around only to find that there was no exit. Beneath them was a whole mob of wolves, hungry for flesh. MaKenzi thought, This looks like the Tree of Orion... she knew there was a fold, accidentally created by the wizard while trying to create a seal when banning the Dark Woman.
"Guys, there's a fold at the end of the branch, just jump!" MaKenzi said, knowing what she said sounded absurd. "MaKenzi, are you out of your mind?!" Mack yelled, as all the other teens looked at her as if she had three heads and a tail. "That will be WAY too many injuries to treat in such a dire circumstance!" Mack continued, making his statement. "Look, do you all have a better idea right now?!" MaKenzi retorted, as the wolves on the branch started to get closer. The others remained silent. "That's what I thought. Now, JUMP!" MaKenzi said, seeing the wolves getting ready to attack. Legs bent, teeth bared, growling. With no other idea in mind, they all jumped. "WOAH!" they screamed, as they fell. A flap opened in the air, as they fell to their seemed-to-be doom. They slipped through the flap in the air, as the wolves pounced off the branch in an attempt to catch them. The flap closed as soon as they did, with the wolves falling to their death below. "Cool!" they exclaimed, seeing different colors. Another flap opened, as they fell. "Aaah!" they screamed, as they fell. They fell through trees. Branches cut them. Sharp leaves. Then...darkness.
