Chapter 12 Unstopable

"Kodah!" Anakins heart almost stopped when he saw her collapse. Abandoning his shelter and fleeing in spite of  Obi wans protests, he darted into the rain. She was crumpled on the ground, unmoving. The rain was pouring on her. Anakin doubted that even her status as a Hydrokenetic would protect from drowning here. He stooped down and picked her up bridal style. Carrying Kodah, he staggered through the rain back to where Obi wan was waiting.
"Anakin you could haven been killed!" He scolded as they hurried down the stairs from the roof back to the top floor of the temple. "I couldn't let her die Master." Anakin in his intense way.
They laid her down on her back. She was still for a moment before she sat up jerkily and coughed up water from her lungs. Panting, she slumped back down and looked at Anakin. "I don't know what that rain is or where it comes from--- but that's no ordinary water. It has a mind of its own."

Later, in the Jedi council room, the Jedi and Kodah discussed the situation. "We were counting on her to fix this!" Mace Windu jabbed a finger at Kodah. "If she is useless to us then we need to find some one who can actually help. Kodah flinched at his words and Anakin bristled to see her upset. Then a look of resolve came to her eyes and she met Windus gaze. "I guess you though I was the easy solution. Perhaps you might put some of that indignation to better use finding a different solution Master Jedi?" Her lips twitched slightly. Anakin laughed aloud the quickly disguised it as a cough. Windu  looked stunned to be spoken to this way but quickly regained his composure. "And I suppose that a hermit who has been living in ruins away from civilization for years naturally knows the perfect solution?" "Maybe I do. Maybe I know the perfect solution.
