Act I, Part II
(Lights on. Years later, a fire pit, having a stone chimmy lights a room of wood and decorated with animal skin clothings. The centre of the wooden floor was carpeted with a bear mat, and on it sat a man and a woman. The man wore a brown bear leathered coat with an inner grey shirt and brown thick pants to match his coat. The woman wore only a white linen dress. The man had a bald head while the woman's hairs were curly. Their eyes were fixed at a white baby boy in the woman's arms, covered with dark bear clothes that covered his entire body except his face. His eyes were closed while he adjusted himself a bit to have some sleep)
WOMAN 1:(Speaks as a tear escapes her left eye) A boy. A baby boy. (Sobs as the man rubs his right hand on her back) After three miscarriages, my sins have been forgiven. Now I can silence those who call me names and laugh at my former predicament.
MAN 1:(Looks at her with a smile on his face) My dear, leave your haters alone. Celebrate the blessing that has finally come into this world.
WOMAN 1:(Looks at her husband with a smile) You are right Fidal. What name would you like to give our son?
FIDAL:(Looks at his son as a tears escapes his right eye) Gimm'r shall be his name Nina, because he is a blessing to the world.
NINA:(Looks at her son with a smile) You hear that Gimm'r? You now have a name.
(Fidal smiled and kissed his wife. They both stared at the boy as he laid soundly asleep in his mother's arms)
(Lights off)

(Lights on. Twelve years later, a twelve year old white boy trailed down a sandy path, surrounded by green leaves and few trees on both sides. He wore a pair of lethered boots, a pair of black socks, a red trouser, a white inner shirt, a black sheep coat and a black cap. He had a brown backpack worn behind his back which seemed a bit heavy. He had red pupils on his eyes and long eyebrows. He was a red head, taking a path that lead to his home. He sights a cabin which was a bit far away and heavied in relief. As he continued walking, he saw someone working in a garden on the right side of the cabin while in front of the cabin another person was spilting logs in halves with his axe slicing through them and stopping at a large oak stout. Mother and father, he thought. He broke into a run to meet them.
It was the man who first caught sight of the boy. Wearing a grey yellow shirt with dark brown trousers and black sandals, he placed his left hand over his head to have a better view of the boy running towards him. When he finally recognized him, he laid his axe on the stout and embraced the boy as the latter hugs him. The woman, carrying a weaved basket of vegetables with her left hand and keeping close to her left side, stood up and went to the front of the cabin, only for her to see her husband and son hugging each other. She dropped the basket and approaches them. When she got there, the boy then hugs his parents)
FIDAL:(Removes himself from the boy's hug and smiles at him) How was school today Gimm'r?
GIMM'R:(Looks at his father) It was wonderful but a bit strainous dad.
NINA:(Shooks his head with her left hand) You'll get use to it dear.
GIMM'R:(Looks at his mother) I hope I will mother. Anyway, guess what happened in school?
BOTH PARENTS: What happened?
GIMM'R:(Speaks excitedly) I passed the test!
(Fidal picks him off the ground with a hug while Nina smiles while placing her right hand on her chest to show her astonishment)
FIDAL:(Drops him and smiles at his face) You never cease to make us happy son. You are indeed a blessing.
NINA:(Removes her hand from her chest) Indeed, you are a blessing my son.
GIMM'R:(Smiles) Thank you very much dad and mum. (Frowns) The only thing that annoys me is that rude girl named Sophia always passes me in everything.
FIDAL:(With a serious look) My son, don't be envious of her. Always be contented with your own success and mind your own business.
GIMM'R:(Sighs) Okay dad.
FIDAL:(Looks at Nina with a smile) Shouldn't this call for a celebration?
NINA:(Smiles back) Indeed it does.
FIDAL: Then let's get to work then. Go and prepare some tasty soup with one of the rams at the back. Let me finish cutting these logs so that you will have enough wood for the cooking. (Looks at Gimm'r) Take Nick with you and go to the market. Take the fifty pieces of silver that Robbison owes me and buy some pepper and ginger. Give the remaining change to Edward, that blacksmith by the well of the town, to settle off the debt I owe him, and get back here safely.
GIMM'R: Okay dad.
(While Nina went into the house and Fidal continued spliting more logs, Gimm'r went to the dog kennel and opened the hatch. A brown four years old dog rushed out and pounced on him, licking his face with delight)
GIMM'R:(Giggles as the dog continued to lick his face) Oh Nick! I'm here buddy! (Sits upright as the dog climbs off him) Lets go for a walk Nick. (Stands up and begins to go) Come on Nick. Let's go.
(The dog barks and follows him. They took the sandy path and entered another road that was brown and strong. They continued until they came to the gate of a town that had the words,' Town of Greensberg', inscribed in between two metallic arcs of the gate. The gate was already opened for people to leave and enter. They passed through the dozens of men, women and children and came to a butcher's shop. A man, partly hidden by the pieces of meat hung on the iron hooks in front of him, was sharping his knives. He caught a glimpse of Gimm'r and puts his right hand in his right pocket)
GIMM'R: Good afternoon sir.
ROBBINSON: Good afternoon Gimm'r. (Brings out some money) Take. I'm sure your father sent you to collect this.
GIMM'R:(Takes the money from him) Thank you sir. (Takes his leave)
ROBBINSON:(Smiles) My regards to your father.
(Gimm'r waves at him, goes to a woman's shop and buys the pepper and ginger. He went to a blacksmith's shop, greets him and gives the blacksmith the remaining change)
EDWARD:(Smiles as he takes the money) Thank you Gimm'r. Send my greetings to your father.
GIMM'R:(Smiles back) Okay sir.
(Gimm'r then leaves with Nick. They both leave the town as it was beginning to get dark and travelled through the road. As they walked, Nick nose picked up a scent, barked and ran towards it's direction)
GIMM'R:(Yells and runs after Nick) Nick! Hey wait up!
(He pursues Nick as the dog leaves the road and entered a nearby bush. He pushed the bush aside with both hands and saw Nick sniffing on an old man lying on the grass, wearing only a light blue cloth that reached his legs. He looked very weak and pale, and was indifferent to the sniffs of Nick. His face had the expression of slow death, eyes on the sky that was beginning to get dark.
Gimm'r knelt down beside the man while the dog sat up straight and stick out it's tongue from it's mouth. He raised man's left hand and let it drop down by itself. He placed his right hand on the man's chest and felt the weak heart beating)
GIMM'R:(Looks at the man's face) Please what's your name sir?
OLD MAN:(Speaks slowly without looking at him) You need not know my name Gimm'r.
GIMM'R:(Surprised) How do you know my name sir?
OLD MAN:(Turns his head to look at him) I am a man of mystery. My name shall you know later. But first, give me your hand.
(Gimm'r slowly gives the man his right hand while the man shook his hand with his left hand)
OLD MAN: You are a blessing born into this world to save it from the evil hands that seek to destroy it.
GIMM'R:(Confused) I beg your pardon?
OLD MAN:(Continues talking as if he's reciting something) A miracle that will protect us from the forces of darkness. (Continues talking as their hands glow white, much to Gimm'r surprised) Take my Nyt powers and use them for good. Protect Earth from the Dark War before it ravages the whole Earth.
(The man starts glowing white all over his body. His body disintegrates into white fireflies that flew into the air and vanished, leaving a barking Nick and a confused Gimm'r)
(Lights out)
