I loved her not for the way she danced with my angels,

but for the way, the sound of her name could silence my demons.

--------------------------

She winced holding her head. She followed him inside with her wet dress. It was raining heavily and he left her alone outside in the heavy rainfall.

She held her head wincing in pain stopping at a place and then opened her eyes.

She looked at him immediately.

"What happened?" She asked him looking at her gown which was dripping water at the moment. She loved the gown so much and now it was in this condition only because of this idiot man. She gritted her teeth fisting her hands controlling herself not to slap him right away.

"You got drunk", He stated filling a glass of water with the jug placed on the side table and passing it to her. She sighed before having it, her throat was literally burning. She just got out of the water and still, she was yearning for more. She thought to herself.

"I don't have any idea what you are talking about and throwing a person in water when you don't know if she knows swimming is complete stupidity", she told him giving the glass back to him.

"Stupidity? You want me to put you in bed and let people talk about it tomorrow. If you forgot we are not married yet", he told her sitting on the couch before passing her the towel.

"It's not like I am asking you to sleep with me. It's just you could have done it in a different way", she told him clutching her head. She felt like it would blast any moment from now.

"You have any shame saying these things so bluntly", he asked leaning back in his chair not caring that his clothes were all wet.

"Cut out all the shit. It's not like we won't do it after marriage. You are acting like you don't know anything. You have had girlfriends even if it wasn't a physical relationship but still, you know about these things. Don't expect me to act all innocent and suddenly on the wedding night get all wild", she told him looking around for her phone.

"You are really shameless I see", he stated observing her movements cleanly.

"Congratulations on your discovery. You still have time to say no", she told him raising her eyebrows at him.

"You really think I would do something like this", he asked her as she finally found her phone.

"You know what I don't really care what you do and what you not. I am still standing on my words. I am getting married because my parents want that so don't make up a story in your mind that I am crazy about your looks or anything. I am not a person to judge people on the basis of their looks. If my parents would have asked me to marry some other guy, I would have done that happily. I am not one to believe in love and bullshit", she told him as he raised his eyebrows at her words.

"You really have a thing for cursing", he told her as she sighed taking a deep breath before looking at him with a big bright smile.

"You throw me in water. I felt like I would die any moment and now you want me to talk softly. What are you Randhir Ahlawat? Either something is wrong with you or you are just too full of yourself. I guess I was right nobody taught you how to behave with a girl. I am not shocked that your girlfriends couldn't handle your shits anymore", she told him as he shook his head with a cruel smile covering his lips.

"What do you want to prove by this statement, Ms? Care to elaborate", he told her looking straight into her eyes.

"That you don't know how to behave with girls or anyone for that matters", she told him straightforwardly as he nodded.

"Anything else", he asked as she look deadly in his eyes.

"If you have so much problem of me coming near you before marriage doesn't show me your face before it is done. Let's meet on the marriage day", She told him as he nodded.

"And who forced me to come here", he asked her his hands clutching the arms of the wooden chair tightly.

"I never thought you would act like this", she said her eyes softening till this moment as she gulped lightly looking at her phone.

"I never acted in any wrong way", he stated as she laughed at his words.

"Of course you didn't. You are very much right I shouldn't stay here before marriage but the way you are portraying it like I knowingly got drunk so I can spend time with you like some characterless girl there you are wrong", she told him as he looked the other way tapping his fingers on the wooden chair.

"This is said by the girl whose own friend makes her drunk", he stated as she froze before looking at him.

"I never said I trust her", she told him emotionlessly.

"Than you are a fool more than innocent to drink something given by her", he told her as she closed her eyes in irritation.

"Should I call for a cab or are you dropping me home", she asked him not wanting to talk about that.

"Now I couldn't just let you leave like that in this condition", he told her as she frowned. He stood up from his place walking to get his keys only to stop at her words.

"I know how to take care of me, Mr. Ahlawat. You weren't there my whole life neither have you faced what I have seen in life so you don't have any right to judge me as well", she stated expecting him to turn or at least give a side gaze towards her but nothing like that happened. He just walked away making her feel more stupid at the moment.

"Wear this", he said passing his jacket to her but she pushed it away immediately.

"I don't want it. Why would you give your jacket to a fool like me?", She told him as he sighed making her wear it forcefully.

"I never meant it in a wrong way", he told her as she looked down trying to control her emotions.

"I know you are saying this to make me feel good and I am sorry for troubling you?" She said sighing.

"I can't change the history but I am so sorry for embarrassing you. You took me here, thank you so much", she said looking down but he didn't answer.

He walked out. She was about to follow him when she found a child looking at her curiously.

"What's wrong", she asked smiling at him.

"Who are you?" he asked as she frowned.

"I can ask the same from you", she asked him as he frowned.

"I am Suraj", he told her as she nodded.

"And what are you doing here Suraj", She asked him pulling his cheek lightly.

"My mother is cleaning the room", he told her as she nodded.

"Are you an angel?", he asked her as she laughed. He looked curious enough to know her answers.

"No I am not but you here are definitely a cute angel" she told him as he smiled widely.

"I am?" he asked as she nodded.

"Yes, a cute angel", she said as his eyes twinkled with happiness.

"We need to go", Randhir said as he walked inside and looked at the cute conversation.

She nodded before ruffling the little boy's hair who giggled and followed him.

"Kids love you", He said as she sat in his car. She frowned looking at him before smirking playfully. She didn't want him to leave with a sour mood and whatever happened could be classified as a fight by normal people not her at least. It was common for her.

"Everybody with a sane mind can never ignore my charms. Whoever meets me falls in love with my personality accept you", she said pointing at him as he looked away immediately which made her shake her head lightly. Her dark brown wet hair falling on her face which made her irritated.

"The person I want to fall head over heel for me is not in love with me so what is the advantage of being loved by everyone", she said crossing her arms when he held her elbow and pulled her closer to him. His face was inches away from hers as she gasped looking at the proximity.

"Pray that I never fall in love with you. You won't be able to handle my love", he whispered huskily in her ear as she frowned.

He left her elbow before starting to drive as she looked at him with wide eyes.

Her heart was beating so loudly, it was never the scene with her. It was so new and beautiful feeling for her. She loved this new change in herself. She thought looking out leaning her head on her hand putting her elbow on the windowpane with a beautiful shy smile covering her lips.

His eyes fall on her smiling face and he felt a different feeling in his heart. There was a different calmness and peace in his heart which he never witnessed before and he hated this feeling.

He finally dropped at her place. She was about to enter inside her house when she turned and found his car waiting for her to enter inside.

She tilted her head to the left feeling the same warmth surrounding her. She shook her head before waving her hand at him and entering inside quickly. Even though he was irritating as hell, ill-mannered but it cannot change the fact that he cared.

She felt happy with this fact only.

He looked at her leaving figure and sighed before wearing his shades and driving back to Chandigarh. Not even once did her thought crosses his mind because he was too busy with the business calls throughout his way.
