Some are born to sweet delight,
Some are born to Endless Night.

"And who are you to just agree to a proposal for my daughter?" Her father shouted at her mother.
Kimaya was shivering when he took steps towards her.
"Don't you dare touch her? She is your daughter for god sake. How can you just raise hand on your own daughter", her grandmother shouted coming in between.
"How dare you say yes to this proposal", her father shouted at her ready to hit her.
Kimaya had tears in her eyes but was somehow controlling them.
"The family is good. The boy is working in his family business. She would not face any problem", her mother said.
"Oh, you would only see money when you have come from a poor family. My daughter is going to get my whole property in her name. She is not like you. She is a princess. So you should not speak in-between", her father shouted at her mother.
"He is from a good family with a good upbringing. He is from a traditional family", her grandmother said stopping her mother to say much.
"We will see", He shouted looking at the three of them with an angry glare.
"They want to do the roka as soon as possible", her mother said looking scared.
"How old is he?" He asked.
"25", her mother answered as he nodded looking at Kimaya.
"If something goes wrong, I won't leave you", he said showing his finger to her mother and left.
"Call them. They can come for the roka here", her grandmother said as they already informed Kimaya's paternal side relatives about the marriage.
And to say Kimaya was irritated with these many relatives at her place was an understatement.
"It's your roka girl. How did you find this handsome hunk for yourself?" Her elder cousin sister asked who was still unmarried.
"I don't know. Can you just give me a room to get ready?" Kimaya said with a fake smile walking out of the crowded room. She took a sigh of relief reaching to the upper story of her house.
There was no one here thankfully.
"The bride should get ready", her mother said as she frowned.
"I am not the bride. At least not right now", Kimaya stated as her mother nodded looking at her.
"My daughter grew up so soon. It's like yesterday when I brought you home", her mother said as she smiled.
"And my father said why am I not dead already", She said which made her mother glare at her.
"Shut up. Don't speak rubbish", her mother said as she nodded.
"Wear your clothes and come downstairs", her mother said as she nodded looking at her dress.
"I'll send somebody to do your hair and makeup but first wear your dress", her mother completed before going out of the room.
Kimaya walked to the beautiful dress and traced her finger on the fabric.
She couldn't believe this was really happening.
She was getting married for real.
She got ready in the green suit and looked at herself in the mirror. It was weird. She understood the reason.
She was not getting ready for any party or function today. She was getting married to a man. Her man.
To be precise, her hands were shaking. She was biting her lips continuously which showed her nervousness well.
Her maternal elder sister did her makeup and her hair as she continued staring at herself in the mirror.
"You look good", her sister told her putting her hands on her shoulder.
"I am nowhere near him", Kimaya said.
"Trust me, you are more than him", her sister said when her mother came inside.
"They are here. Come on down", her mother said as she nodded. Before she could stand up her mother held her and looked at her from the mirror.
"Let me put this", her mother said before putting some kohl on her finger and then putting it behind her ear.
She came down with her sister and could feel eyes on her.
Her hold around her sister's hand tightened.
"Calm down. It's fine", her sister told her as she was made to sit opposite him.
"Kimaya, this girl would eat my ears if I won't introduce you both", His mother said pulling a young girl in front of her.
"She is Randhir's Chachu's daughter, Shrishti", she introduced as Kimaya smiled at her.
"Bhabhi, you are so cute", the girl awed looking at her as Kimaya smiled.
"What about me?" A young muscular voice said coming in front of Shrishti.
"Shantanu Bhai, I was meeting her", Shrishti said trying to come in front.
"And he is my son. Randhir's younger brother", her mother-in-law said as he smiled waving at her when his mother smacked his head.
"She is your Bhabhi. Touch her feet", His mother said as he frowned before smiling at Kimaya and touching her feet.
She frowned feeling uncomfortable. Nobody ever touched her feet before.
She uncomfortably smiled at him before making him stand holding his shoulder.
"It's fine", she said.
"Let them sit together", another female said who looked younger than her mother-in-law.
And that's how she was made to sit beside him. Her to be husband
Weird to even think about
Her hands touched his by mistake and she felt this jolt of electricity running through her veins.
She rubbed that part of her skin trying to control her emotions.
The ceremony was finally completed with her cousins giving her an envious look and she hated every second she was sitting in that glare.
"Take her upstairs", her mother instructed her cousin as she silently went upstairs.
Everybody was having food right now and she wanted space.
The way her cousins were looking at her, it clearly showed how much they hated the idea of him getting married to her.
She sighed walking on the terrace looking at the small garden her grandmother worked so hard to prepare.
She sighed feeling sleepy looking at the calm atmosphere.
She heard the door opening but didn't really pay any attention to the person who came.
It did rain in the afternoon and the weather was so nice at the moment.
Everything was damp and the fragrance of the soil after the rain was somewhat enchanting her.
"You seem tired", she heard his voice making her jump from her place.
"You... Here?" She asked as he took steps towards her. Slow yet predatory.
"I thought you didn't want to be with my family so you came here", he said as she frowned.
"It's not that. There was no need for me to be downstairs so Mumma asked me to come up", she said playing with the end of her dupatta.
"Is that so?" He asked as she nodded.
"Alright as you wish", He said as she continued looking around silently.
"I have a joint family. I hope you can adapt to it", He stated in a harsher tone. Was he just marrying her so that she can take care of his family?
But what else could be the reason?
Men marry for this reason only. They just want a housemaid for themselves.
She nodded.
"I'll try to", She said.
"Before this marriage, I just want to make one thing clear that I can take anything but somebody disrespecting my family", He said as she nodded.
He sighed looking at her silent self before walking downstairs.
"Please be careful. The stairs are still wet", she told him as he looked up before walking carefully.
Tears came in her eyes remembering his words.
She was expected to leave her family behind and consider him as her own but the way he was reacting it showed that he only cared about his things, not about her.
But what else could she expect?
Her family wants her to get married. If this is in her destiny, she would happily go through everything.
