I felt so much
That I started to feel... Nothing

------------------------

"Alright enough of it. I should be leaving by now", she spoke pulling away from him. He surprisingly let her go as well.

"I am going to my home as well this week", she told him walking past him only for him to hold her wrist and pull her closer to him.

"When are you going to stop calling that place your home?", he asked her as she frowned.

"Swami, I told you many times that I don't consider your house as my home", she told him sweetly but he knew she was mocking him by calling him Swami.

"And I have told thousands of times to not consider the same", he told her as she sighed before biting her lower lip.

"I don't want to fight over this pity thing right now. I need to enjoy myself right now", she said staring dreamily in space.

"Enjoy yourself? How may I ask?", He asked as she stared at him with a small pout which unknowingly came on her face.

"Of course, it's not like I am going to commit murder and am scared to tell you the details. Reema Chachi asked me to see the mall nearby and I am dying to do some shopping for so long. The last time, I went shopping was when I have to buy my wedding lehenga and it was like 2 months before our marriage", she said with a sigh.

"I didn't know you were a girl who loved shopping", he said walking to his table and getting his wallet.

"Not actually shopping shopping but window shopping", she said curiously about his leaving like this. He took his phone before putting his wallet in his pants pocket.

"You going somewhere?", she asked as he reached her.

"Now I can't let my wife roam around a new city alone. You don't know anything about this place. Also, we need to visit my village in a couple of days, you need to do the shopping for that and I am going to accompany you", he said making her frown. She knew she was not aware of this place and need a person who could show her around but again she was feeling uncomfortable roaming around with him.

"The security won't be there right?", she asked wishing he would say no to that.

"It is important, Maya. Especially when you are there with me", he told her as she nodded still thinking if she should deny his offer.

"But you didn't even have your lunch", she pointed.

"You had yours?", he asked as she nodded.

"Okay, I'll just have it and then we'll leave", he told sitting on his seat and having his food while she made a checklist of what she wants. After he was done they made their way outside.

He felt her coming closer to him when his employee stared at him. He knew she was uncomfortable but was good at showing otherwise.

Her eyes traveled to observe Dipika's face and she was burning. She felt calmness in her heart as they reached the ground floor. He opened the door for her making her comfortable before taking his seat. He wasn't driving today which was justified with the way he was burdening himself with work these days.

They reached the mall. She jumped out of the car as he followed her wearing his shades. She found the guards following them which made her sigh.

She felt timid in the crowd as she held his bicep. She remembers she used to hold her mother's dupatta whenever they go out shopping. She felt a whirlpool of emotions hit her as soon as she remembered about her life before marriage.

She was a free bird with absolutely no responsibilities.

He selected heavy sarees and heavy Anarkali suits for her in the name of her wearing them in his village.

She felt like she couldn't even walk with the heavy suit he asked her to try. She came outside from the dressing room to find him busy in his phone and the girls around staring at him nearly drooling.

She didn't really feel any jealousy at this moment. She felt proud that this man belonged to her and she was shocked at her own thoughts. She felt like she should be jealous at this moment but the way he reacted with his ex-girlfriend, a part of her started trusting him. Her heart was telling her to take a chance once and give him the admiration he deserves. To be her real self with him.

She cleared her throat pulling his attention towards her.

"It is too light. I am looking like a ghost in it", she told him pointing at the light pink-colored suit.

"You are too pale. It's your mistake", he told her passing her a dark pink color suit making her stare at him with narrowed eyes and puffed cheeks.

"Why do you always act so mean to me?", she asked taking the suit from him.

"I am stating mere facts", he told her which made her roll her eyes at him.

She continued changing in few other dresses which made her super tired. She wanted to sleep at the moment.

"It's already 9:00. Everybody must have had their dinner by now", he told her as they got inside his car.

She sighed finally taking a deep breath.

"You didn't purchase even a single thing and made me try so many", she accused closing her eyes leaning back.

"Because I am going to shop later on. And the second thing is, we are having dinner outside", he told her but she didn't answer. She was so tired. Her eyes were closing but she was controlling herself to not fall asleep like this.

The car stopped in front of a huge and luxurious restaurant as she tiredly followed him leaning her head on his shoulder literally hanging on his hand.

They had their food in silence while he continued staring at her. What irritated her more was he didn't even stop when she was looking at him as if telling her that she belonged to him?

After dinner, they got inside his car as she heard the sound of lightning.

She placed her head on his shoulder closing her eyes. He was not expecting her to be this frank with him but when it came to her being tired, he should expect anything from her. In few moments, she fell asleep.

He was reading an email on his phone when his eyes fall on her face.

She looked so innocent and pretty with her lips parted breathing softly holding his elbow tightly.

He traced his finger on her face which made her frown before rubbing her face on his shoulder, a small smile came on his lips observing her cute action.

She looked so different when she would be asleep. Not like her usual self always arguing about every single thing.

He took a deep breath trying to control his desires for his wife. When they reached home, he picked her up in his arms walking inside his mansion. The darkness around was enough to tell him that everybody else was asleep.

------------------------------

She sat in the middle of the ladies as they told her about their village.

"Why is it so special?", she asked her mother-in-law.

"Because Bhabhi, Bhai owns a huge amount of land there. You can say the village we are talking about is more of a town made by a couple of villages whose lands are owned by Bhai. The people there consider Bhai as their god because he had always been there when they needed loans or when there was a drought kind of scenerio. They all are very excited to meet you", Shrishti said packing the gifts with excitement.

"Ma, I am hungry", Aarush said hugging his mother from behind.

"Baby, I am doing work, right? Wait for a few minutes", Reema said which made him pout and lean on her.

"Chachi, I can cook for him. My work is almost done", Kimaya said as the little boy stared at her with his pouty lips.

"It would be a great help. Take him away otherwise, he would only disturb everybody here", Reema whispered in her ears as she nodded before picking the little boy in her arms walking out of the room.

"What do you wanna eat Aarush?", She asked him making him sit comfortably on the kitchen counter.

"Mumma won't allow me to eat junk. If I asked you to cook something like that then she would scold me", he spoke wiping his face in irritation making her aww at his actions.

"Ma, Hungry", Shantanu spoke entering inside the kitchen only to walk out when he found Kimaya there.

"She is busy", Kimaya spoke as he stopped in his tracks.

"Sorry, Bhabhi. I didn't know you are here", he spoke as she frowned.

"There is nothing like that and on the day of my marriage, you asked me to adopt you as my own kids. Won't you tell Ma if you are hungry", Kimaya asked taking out the ingredients from the refrigerator.

"You don't have to do so much work Bhabhi. I would ask a servant to cook something", Shantanu spoke looking at Aarush who shrugged his shoulders.

"Your Bhai told me to take care of his family like I would've taken care of my own. And I would've surely cooked for my brother", She spoke chopping the vegetables as Shantanu stood leaning on the counter beside Aarush.

"Bhabhi, can I ask you something?", Shantanu asked as she hummed too busy in her work.

"How is it living with Bhai?", He asked making her sneak a look at him before continuing her work.

"Easier than I thought", she answered after a minute making him frown.

"I mean I know he is... He is difficult at times but that's how he got his upbringing", Shantanu spoke juggling the tomatoes making her frown.

"Upbringing?", Kimaya questioned as he hummed.

"Bhai didn't live with us. He came here after he turned 18. He used to stay with Dada-Dadi. But after their sudden demise in a car accident, he came here. After he came back, Papa send him to London for his further studies. Wait for a second, Are you aware of a fact?", Shantanu spoke the last part curiously.

"What fact?", Kimaya asked him finally turning to him.

"Bhai is a doctor", he spoke making her frown. Not even in her wildest dream, she thought a heartless person like him could be a doctor.

"Well, that is surely a shocking fact. I had no clue of this thing", she whispered as he continued.

"Bhai wanted to be a surgeon but then after dadu, he was expected to take over the business completely as per the family legacy but still he is continuing his studies", Shantanu spoke as she turned her attention to cooking. The same thing. Why his father didn't take over the company? Why only her husband became the successor in place of his father? She wanted to ask but that was something she want her husband to tell her.

"What did you want to do?", he asked as she took out the spices from the cabinet.

"I didn't have any such dream if you want to ask me that. My dadi never wanted me to work. She asked me to study but not for money but for the sake of knowledge. I used to work because I wanted experience", she told him adding the ghee in the cooker.

"So you know about Aisha?", he asked as she continued cooking.

"His another ex", she asked moving her eyes to Aarush who was too busy playing with Shantanu's wristwatch.

"You are smart", he spoke as she looked at him.

"You think I would be able to survive a day with your brother without being smart", she asked him.

"Point to be taken", he said raising his hands dramatically making her smile.

"So I need to tell you about her before you know from someone else. Because for a fact, I know Bhai is not going to tell you about her", he told her making her frown.

"Was it some deep love or something?", she asked him as he scoffed.

"Bhai and love you must be kidding. He hated the sight of Aisha. I still think why would he do so. She was the daughter of the caretaker of our haweli in our village. A beautiful girl I must say with a model-like figure. Don't think I am interested in her anyhow I am just telling you a fact. But I can't deny the fact that she is not someone who would stand up different in a room filled with many beautiful woman. Now I can't take the name of the caretaker because he is older than me so as I tell you the story we will call him Ramu Chacha. Just to add bhabhi you do have a strong personality which makes you different from other woman", he spoke as she added the spices in the cooker with a smile for his justification.

"Bhai used to stay with Dadu back then in our village which shouldn't be considered as a village. There are many famous schools and colleges there, where the kids of the upper society study. Coming back to the story Ramu Chacha liked Bhai. And I don't know why but I feel like it was because of the lands he was having on his name. He started forcing Aisha to spend time with Bhai. After dada- dadi, he stayed there for some time but one night something happened after which Bhai came back here. He denied going back", he spoke making Kimaya frown.

"He never went back?", she asked as he nodded.

"He would return back with you. His queen. The people there consider him as their god, their king, so naturally, they hold you very precious as well. Some people can detest because they wanted Aisha to be their queen but", he was speaking when she interrupted him.

"I don't care what they think. I am accepted by every single person in this family. It's not like I am going to spend my whole life there. It's a matter of few days", she spoke as he smiled.

"That's what I like about you. You don't care about nonsense people", He told her as she raised her eyebrows at him.

"I do care about your brother", she told him making him gasp.

"You called Bhai nonsense", he spoke in shock as she shrugged her shoulder covering the cooker with the lid.

"I never knew you think this about me, Wife", she heard the devil's voice making her close her eyes tightly.
