#11.

He stood leaning on the steel railing of the balcony, the crisp morning winds kissing his face. It was rare for Amegakure to not be raining. Even rare in mornings. Just the winds blowing off his golden unkempt locks, another rare sight. Deidara always enjoyed early mornings. The rising sun, painting the sky in so many different shades for a while before it disappears in the brightness and warmth of the following day. The silence replaced by the hustling and bustling of schedule-packed day. People, he thought with a snort, they never notices the true beauty of things before they disappear, the serenity it leaves behind. His art meant everything to him, and Deidara saw them everywhere.

"Hey! Why are you not in your bed?" came the cranky question of Akatsuki's new official medic. How the hell did she even convinced the superiors to let her join was still a mystery to him.

"Sorry." he shot back a sincere apologetic smile to her before returning back to scenery gazing, "Just didn't want to miss this perfect piece of art."

"Hold on." Sakura said coming beside him, resting her arms on the railings, "Did Deidara, the bat-shit crazy proud arsonist just apologized? Or am I hearing things now?" Sakura asked appalled.

A teenie-tiny smile graced his lips, "No. I can be nice sometimes. Its rare, like this hell-hole can have a rainless mornings."

Sakura hummed in response, resting her weight on her arms in a relaxing manner. "I loved mornings too, back when we lived in Konoha. I used to wake up early and get to the top of the tallest tree to enjoy the view." a light wave of melancholy slipped in her voice which Deidara noticed.

"Do you miss it? Mornings of Konoha?"

"I miss the walking sunshine that used to light up everything. Without him, Konoha and all of its mornings are dull trash." her eyes looked into the nothing among the vibrant colours adorning the sky.

Deidara understood what she meant. "The Kyuubi boy, right? What was his name again?"

"Naruto Uzumaki." she tried not to cry, but just speaking his name alone dragged her into the dark pits of hell.

"Yeah, he deserved better."

"But he didn't. He died alone and betrayed by the people he..." Sakura couldn't form the rest of the sentence. "I should get going. And you need to get inside. That's your medics words." she didn't let her tears flow in front of him. Instead, she left.

Deidara watched her retreating form. This place is cursed. Whoever comes here get dragged to the hell, to each their own. He sighed parting from the beautiful rising sun behind.

Renai sighed looking at the orange-ish hues of the rising sun. In her prison, she couldn't even have ever dreamt of mornings like this. A beautiful morning in a beautiful home with the man she loves.

...the man I love? her eyes went to the empty space beside. The warmth of the man who was there the last night was long gone. She sighed again, Yeaah...maybe not that part. Yet.

"Better get back to my job. Whatever the fuck it is." she threw her legs to the side and stood up, the sheets flowing down her bare body like a wake of milk. "Earn their trust." Madara's voice echoed in her ears, the mere whispers. "Make them fall for you. Your beauty. Your power." the floors were chilling, like slabs of ice, but that never bothered her. "Get them in your grasp, at the tip of your fingers. And become the queen. The goddess that you are."

She went straight to the closet, only to step beck in disappointment. The only pair of clothes she had, were the ones she was wearing yesterday. And those weren't even her clothes. The only thing that she had to wear got destroyed in that mission in frost country. The ones with blood stains of their previous owner.

She picked the ones that were discarded on the floor, straightening them up the best she could. After a little, she just gave up. What's even the point if she only has one pair of clothes. Its just another thing that never bothered her. She had worn clothes snatched from corpses and a repeating pair of hospital gowns that provided nominal coverage. (Gross. I know. But she had a difficult life.)

The only problem was that she was here to impress. And wearing sweaty, smelly and dirty clothes wouldn't help that cause, unless these men were more messed up than she thought. She decided to leave the problem for after the shower.

Renai walked out of the bathroom drying her hairs with a towel and humming a tune. She absentmindedly threw the towel on the lovechair, loosening another towel that was wrapped around her body and reached for the clothes that were kept on her bed when suddenly she shrieked jumping backwards and clutching the towel closely to herself.

"What the matter firefly? There's no need to hide, its nothing that I haven't already seen before." Obito smirked amused closing up on her.

"What are you doing here?" Renai asked, ducking past him and reaching for her clothes, quickly putting them on.

"Just came to deliver a package." he said casually tossing an envelope on the bed and then plomping down on it, resting against the head board, "Its a small gesture by Pain, as a welcoming gift for joining the Akatsuki. Its called money. You can use it to...buy things."

"I know what money is. I didn't live in a cave." Renai answered. "Always."

Obito chuckled, "Of course you didn't." his eyes watched her every movement like a hawk. He didn't know exactly what he was looking for. "I was reading your file the other night. Couldn't sleep."

"You couldn't sleep. Was it before or after you read it?" Renai turned to him briefly before resuming brushing her hairs.

"I really don't know. Who's Madam K.D? There were mentions of her in quite some pages."

At least with that he got Renai's full attention. "She was the owner of the most successful whorehouse of Takigakure. It was famous all over the Shinobi world, if I know it right." Renai walked upto him. "Why are you asking?"

"How is she related to Project Firefly?" Obito asked sitting up and moving his legs to make room for her.

Renai contemplated whether or not to answer. He most probably knows already if he read all about her. "She and her girls trained me. I was taught seduction to lure in Shinobis. Men, of all kinds. For information or kill." she told him sitting.

"Hmm. Interesting. So basically, you are a deadly, extremely skilled whore, who can wipe any trace of any man who ends up being your target?"

"Pretty much." Renai nodded.

"I better keep my distance than." Obito leaned back on one arm, dramatically slowly, away from her.

"If you did read my file, you know that wouldn't help. You are already in the danger zone." Renai smirked rolling her eyes "So now will you tell me exactly why you are here? Or will I have to get it out of you through other methods?" Renai gave him the look that could made a petrified saint horny.

"This is not an official mission. And your target is not a man." Obito said getting serious while instilling everything in not pounding at her like a starving wolf.

"So its like a favour, huh?"

How can she go from being lady lust in one second to strictly business in another is still a mystery to Obito. What is she, a blessing or their doom in disguise?

"Call it whatever you want. I want you to keep an eye out for Sakura Haruno."

"Isn't she the girl who healed me when I first came here?"

"She is. She is a former Kunoichi of Konohagakure. She was taken out of the prison when you came here and the sole purpose of healing you only. She is also the only one of our prisoners who had lived for more than a year. All thanks to Sasuke Uchiha. And now she is a member."

"So, if she is already a member, then why do I have to keep an eye on her?"

"Because I can't trust him. Sasuke came to me as soon as he saw Sakura, asked me to not put her back in prison. Before that, Itachi advocated stubbornly to keep the girl alive, even as a prisoner. I don't yet know why Sasuke wanted to join Akatsuki in the first place, his reasons are bullshit. He is not here for Konoha's demise. Itachi wouldn't let him. And now he is dragging Sakura into this, an ex teammate from his time in Konoha. There's something off about this, but I am unable to put a fingure on it."

"So, you want me to find out if your hunch is valid or not, by using Sakura as a way to get to know Sasuke's true motives for being here?"

Obito matched her gaze, "Precisely. An since you are also new here, you have the best chance to get close to her. She probably thinks you are brought here by force, thanks to Pain's impulsiveness."

Renai gulped and hand went straight to her neck. She still remembers the panic, the close encounter with the Almighty when Pain ''accidently" killed her to get Sakura to heal her. There's something extremely wrong with that guy, and that's her saying that.

"What's in it for me?" Renai asked, her eyes shooting up to looks at his.

Sakura was sorting through the medical journals that she got from the Tower's library. The Akatsuki had a wide collection of books. It was huge, almost an entire floor, but many of them were untouched. What's the use of books to people who only have to kill or destroy stuff?

A knock echoed through the room, and Sakura raised a curious eyebrow. Since when did these motherfuckers started to knock? Her room is always locked from outside with Suigetsu or Juugo on the guard duty.

Shrugging, she went to the door. As her hand reached for the knob, she was expecting a bolt of electricity upon contact, but it never came. She was surprised to find no protective seal or safety precautions. No knifes were shot at her from the ceilings or walls. The was nothing poison and no measures were made to strip her off her Chakra reserve.

The knock came again, a bit louder, and snapped her out of reverie. Sakura opened the door, to find her first patient of this place flashing her with a blinding smile and look of relief.

"Oh, thank heavens I finally found you. I was told I would find you here, but there are just so many rooms on this floor I got lost. By the way, don't barge into the first room by the stairs. You will never forget what you see there. Never." Renai invited herself in plopping down on the bed. "Oooh what's this?" she asked reading the open book on the bed.

"How....How are you walking? How are you.... The last time I saw you, you were in a coma?" Sakura was shocked when she went to the bay where she left two patients and found only one the day before.

"Oh...Just got a demon from hell in my system. They heal hundred times faster." Renai dismissed her on the topic "So, are you free right now or do you have other patients to bring back from the brink of death under a psychological torture?" (Someone has a morbid sense of humor.)

"None at the moment. The only patient I had besides you got discharged half an hour ago." Sakura replied unsure of her intentions. "Why?"

"Pain sama had given me some appreciation for job well done. Wanna go spend it?" Renai said waving the envelope in the air, "You know, getting ourselves some decent clothes or something."

"Who are you? And what the hell are you here for?" Sakura's frown was screaming distrust.
