My first class was English Language Arts or ELA, whatever that is.

I sighed and sat down in the back. I quickly noticed as the classroom and the seats became filled with kids, that nobody had dared to sit next to me.

One unsuspecting girl walking to the room, immediately saw me, and screamed, "It's a monster!"

She sat as far away from me.

Everyone else came in and was surprised after seeing me. They all took their seats and nobody sat near me. I was alone, but I was okay with that.

"Alright, Class. I am Mr. Bloom and welcome to ELA." The teacher smiled at all of us.

I just looked at the desk.

Nobody said anything.

"Anyway... I'll take attendance and then you can SSR. I hope you've brought a book, because if not, you can read one of the books on the shelf.

I stared at the book shelf, and noticed a book that stood out. The binding read, "Monster History".

Mr. Bloom called everyone's name.

When he got to me, though...

"Asriel Dreemurr!" He shouted.

I was frightened and I didn't know what to say, but I listening and watched the other kids say here and raise their hand, so...

"Here!" I shouted, raising my hand.

He nodded and marked my spot on his chart.

When it started to become SSR time, I noticed everyone had a book out, so I took the Monster History book out from the shelf and carried it over to my seat. It was too big to carry, but I tried as hard as I could to carry it. I was filled with DETERMINATION to do so!

I opened to the table of contents and read it first.

"1. The story of Humans and Monsters Page 1 - 15

2. The Prince Page 16 - 20

3. ..."

I frowned, and turned to page 16 to see what the book had to say about me.

"A long time ago, a human fell into the RUINS. Injured by its fall, the human called out for help..." I read quietly.

I stopped reading, and then continued until it ended. Then... I cried. Everyone stared at me.

"Asriel? Are you okay?" Mr. Bloom asked.

I shook my head, "No..."

"It's okay, Asriel. It's going to be okay..." Mr. Bloom smiled at me.

I nodded, "Okay..."
