Kuroka POV

"Ok, sweetie come to Mama." I said (y/n) shook his head and backed away from the water, "Come on bud." Vali said as he picked him up and threw him to me, "VALI!" I said angrily, "MAMA!" (y/n) said in fear as he clung to me, "What is it, sweetie?" I asked sweetly, "Puddle scary!" He said as he buried his face in my chest, "Honey...that's no puddle." I said as she petted his head.

"See baby, the ocean isn't so bad." I said as (y/n) swatted at the small baitfish in the water, I looked away from him for a second to see what Vali was doing and when I looked back at (y/n) he had a fish in his mouth, "Honey no that's dirty!" I said as I took the fish away from him and threw it back in the water, "Fishey." He said sadly, "Honey I will buy you a fish for lunch." I said as he ran out after the fish, "HONEY GET BACK HERE!" I shouted but the current pulled him out further into the water, luckily his lifejacket kept him afloat, suddenly I saw a pitch-black fin cut threw the water towards him, "(Y/N)!" I shouted, suddenly Vali scooped him up out of the water before the shark could get (y/n), Vali had his boosted gear activated so he made it to (y/n) in a matter of seconds. Vali made sure that (y/n) wasn't able to see anything before he kicked the shark completely obliterating it into a bloody rain. "(y/n)!" I cried as Vali handed him back to me, "(y/n) you will stay with your mother from now on got it." Vali said sternly, "Ok." (y/n) said as I took his lifejacket off him. "Vali what were you doing earlier?" I asked as I dried my eyes, "I was fishing. I thought that since we were here I'd try it again." He said, "Well thank you, I don't know what I'd do if I lost my precious (y/n)." I said as I held my son close, "Vali." (y/n) said, "Want Vali." He said, "Do you want to go fishing with Vali, sweetie?" I asked, "Yeah." He said, "Well I don't see a problem with it as long as Vali is alright with letting you join him." I said, "Yeah, I don't have a problem with it. I actually bought him something cause I thought he'd come to annoy me at some point." Vali said.

(y/n) POV

"Ok (y/n) I need you to sit there and be very quiet," Vali said as he handed me a fishing pole, the string was already in the water, "If you're not quiet then you'll scare the fish and we won't catch anything." He said, "Oh no!" I said before dropping my fishing pole and covering my mouth.

Vali POV

The fishing pole I gave (y/n) was just a training pole for small children. It had a blue plastic fish at the end of its line that gave it weight, however, I put a small magic circle on it that let me apply force to it from a distance. I didn't want to put too much force on the end so after I gave (y/n) his pole back and he had a good grip on it I moved my index and middle fingers downwards a few times to apply a tiny bit of force to the fish, "Looks like you got something, why don't you reel it in bud." I said, (y/n) reeled his line in furiously and then once the "fish" was visible he was shocked that he "caught" something. "Hey look at that, you did it good job bud." I said as I ruffled his hair.

Kuroka POV

I watched (y/n) and Vali from the beach and even from there I could tell that Vali had a tick for (y/n). But I didn't think that his trick was going to be a kind one, so when (y/n) reeled in his "fish" I was pleasantly surprised by the happy look on (y/n)'s face and the look of pride on Vali's face even though it was all just an act for (y/n).

A few hours later Vali and (y/n) walked back over to me. (y/n) tried to tell me about how much fun he had but he was so excited that he was just speaking gibberish, "(y/n) why don't you show Mama what you caught all by yourself." Vali said as (y/n) showed me the blue plastic fish he caught over and over again, "Wow, that's amazing baby!" I said, "I am so proud of you." I said as I kissed (y/n)'s forehead.

On our way home (y/n) fell asleep which didn't surprise me, "Vali," I said, "Yeah what is it?" Vali asked, "Thank you. Thank you for saving my son and for everything else." I said, "Don't thank me Kuroka." He said, "No I will thank you! (y/n)'s never had a father figure before and I think he just might be starting to see you as a father figure." I said.
