"Wake up, MG." Hope tapped her hand against his cheek. There were still no dessication veins; he just wasn't waking up. "MG." Her slaps got harder. "MG!" She leaned back dramatically. "You're so annoying, you know that? You're supposed to be my escort for Miss Mystic Falls. That starts today." MG still didn't move. "Fine. Fuck you too."

Hope flung herself off the bed, pulling on her shoes. The door slammed shut behind her. She knew what she had to do. The closest place she could go was that gas station between the school and town.

Her car rumbled to life, peeling out of the Mikaelson Academy parking lot with a loud squeal. She left it running as she headed inside.

"You know, you really shouldn't leave your car open like that, Miss," the attendant said when she pushed open the doors, the bell above her head tinkling softly.

"What? Like someone's gonna steal it?" Hope scoffed. "I could outrun them and the car."

The attendant laughed nervously. "Can I help you find something?"

"Oh, you already have." Hope leaned across the counter, locking eyes and hypnotizing them. "You're going to lock up in under five minutes, get in the backseat of my car, and not move a muscle or say a word." She leaned back, breaking the trance. "Oh, and these." She tossed two of MG's favorite candy bar on the counter, smiling pleasantly.

The attendant dutifully rang it up as if there was nothing wrong, and Hope waited in the car, tapping her long fingernails on the steering wheel. When the attendant slipped seamlessly into the back of her car, Hope didn't say a word before she pulled out of the parking lot back in the direction of the school.

There was no one in the foyer to question the blank human with a name tag that Hope marched through the school towards her room. She didn't even bother coming up with a lie or casting a cloaking spell.

"Here you go, MG," Hope said as she shoved the human into her room. "One late night snack to wake you up." She extended a werewolf claw, slicing through the human's wrist and pressing it to MG's mouth. "Drink."
