Suspicions

"Hey, you should take her out," Hange suggested to Levi who was making breakfast for everyone. "She likes you. You like her, right? Right?" she grinned.

He swatted her off. "Fuck off, Hange. I know you're bullshitting."

"No, no! Come on, just take her somewhere! Ask her out!" She pleaded.

"Shut up, you'll wake her." he grunted carrying an empty plate to the counter. "If she does actually feel mutual," he continued after a long silence, "and we get into a relationship, how do you think she would react to finding out about us?"

Hange fell silent and put a finger to her lip. "Just stick to the plan and she won't have to find out." She grinned and stuck her thumb. "Now take her on a date." she added. "I need to go back for a while."

"Why do I have to go? Why can't you take her and let me go back?"

"Because you both like each other, jeez, stop acting like you don't want to be alone with her." she replied, "so please?" She begged.

(y/n) was awoken by Hange screaming in the kitchen. She shot up from her bed. Is Hange in trouble? she put on a pair of pants and slammed the door wide open.

"Yay! Yay!" She ran into the kitchen and saw Hange cheering as well as a very annoyed Levi.

"What happened? Is everyone okay?" she questioned.

Hange looked at Levi as if urging him to say something.

"(y/n), we're going to spend the day out." Levi said, causing Hange to smile wider.

"Oh, where are we going?" she told him.

"I don't know, wherever you prefer." He put the bacon in the plate.

"Hange, where do you want to go?" She scratched her head.

"Oh, I'm not going!" Hange replied as she walked into the dining area and slumped down on a chair to which Levi and (y/n) followed suit.

"Why not?" her eyes widened, the thought of spending the whole day with Levi scared her. Even if she spent a few days alone with him before Hange arrived, it was not the same. Not after what happened a few nights back. They haven't talked much since that night.

"Because," she dragged the word as if she was a child hiding something. "I don't want to go. I'm too much of a bother anyway, you guys go on." she swatted her hand.

"O-okay," she reluctantly replied.

"We'll go after we eat." Levi stated.

---

"Look!" She grabbed him, running towards the clownfish. It reminded her of Nemo.

She lightly tapped on the glass. He was stunned and rather speechless, all of these colourful creatures were alien to him, he didn't know that there were fish of these vibrant colours.

She looked at him- it was the first time she'd seen him show amazement. The blue reflection of the water shone in his eyes, his breaths were still- enjoying the peacefulness despite the loud crowds and screaming children. She looked away before he could look back. He squeezed her hand causing her to profusely blush. Although they were friends, they held hands throughout the whole trip. Friends do that, right? Some of my friends do it, so it's not weird at all. She thought.

"Come, there's more to see." She walked forward, pulling him over to the underwater tunnel.

They stopped walking at one point to ponder at the vast waters.

"I've never seen you so amused before, Levi." (y/n) marveled at his expression.

"If Hange was here, she'd probably break down and start crying." he added.

(y/n) chuckled, "yeah, she definitely would. But the faces you made today would still beat her spontaneous breakdowns." She paused, "Why didn't she go with us anyway? She always insisted on coming on other trips."

She felt Levi flinch, "Because she has work to do," she raised an eyebrow, she knew it wasn't the truth.

"Oh come on, just tell me. I know you're lying, even with that face, I felt you flinch." She faced him and leaned in.

"I don't know why," his eyes trailed away from hers, evading her look.

She sighed in disappointment, turning her head away completely, pulling their hands apart and rested hers on the railings. There was a long silence between them, just watching the fish swim by.

"Fuck it," he murmured to himself. "Did you brush your teeth?" He asked her. She was utterly confused at his completely unrelated question; she turned to him and gave him a flummoxed expression.

"What? Levi, that doesn't even..." she slowly shook her head.

"I said did you brush your teeth?" He impatiently repeated.

"Yes, I did! Two minutes, equal strokes on all sides. Why?" Nothing made sense to her.

"Alright, good." He said as he slowly grabbed her waist and pulled her closer, their face inches away fron each other. Her heart was beating astonishingly fast as his fingers caressed her red cheeks.

She quietly yelped. The Captain Levi of the Survey Corps, infront of her, feeling his warm breath on her lips.

"Shut up." He said, finally closing the gap between them. She didn't know how to react at first, but she returned his kiss, if she were to have her first kiss, it might as well be with him.

His soft lips clashed with hers; a soft and loving kiss. Never would she have guessed that Levi was capable of showing such affection, or even show emotion for that matter.

She could feel a small smirk forming on his mouth, although she couldn't see it, it was much better feeling it.

It wasn't long but it was long enough for her to understand his feelings. As they pulled away, Levi looked to the side, slightly pouting his lips. There were a few "ooh"s that came from some children.

"Seriously?" she smirked. He looked back at her, face still stoic, but tinted with a slight pink.

"What?"

"You had to ask me if I brushed my teeth before kissing me?" she chuckled.

"Fuck off," he said, as he grabbed her hand and pulled her farther down the tunnel. "Let's move on." After a long silence, he asked "Are you happy now? You got your answer."

"Answer for what?" she was lost.

"The answer to your question; why Hange didn't come." He slowed down infront of the angelfish.

"Oh," was all she could reply. She could feel Hange uncontrollably laughing at home. She set them up. (y/n) remembered that conversation they had. I'll see what I can do. She mentally thanked Hange.

But did this mean..? She wanted to ask but she just couldn't find the courage to. She didn't want to push him, and if they weren't, then she would have regretted asking in the first place.

"Yes." He randomly blurted out. "If you're wondering if we are in a relationship, then yes, we are. Unless you object." He turned to look at her. She was stunned, it was not the first time he read her mind.

"No, I don't object," she replied to him, smiling.

"Good."

---

"I have a copy of it so you don't always have to borrow mine." Hange said. (y/n) heard as she walked out of the bathroom to head to the living room.

"Copy of what?" She asked as she walked into the living room and slumped down on the couch beside Levi who was crossing his arms and legs.

"It's her titan research." Levi replied, looking right at Hange. "Give it to me immediately." Hange nodded and left to go into the room where she kept her notes.

"She copied her titan research? All of them?" She questioned.

Levi paused for a long while. He could no longer tell her a lie now that they were in a relationship.

He looked at her. "Look, I need to tell you something."

She looked back at him and remembered two nights ago when they were out in the balcony. He was going to tell her something then. "What is it?" She figured it must have been about the same thing.

"Hange and I..." he started, "Hange and I have been-"

"I found it!" Hange came, as if on cue.

(y/n) looked at Levi who was mildly annoyed. She handed Levi the papers and he snatched it from her. There was a long silence.

"Wait a minute," Hange put a finger to her lips slightly smiling. "You two have been acting weird all day. Are you dating?" She asked, nearly squealing the last word. (y/n) flinched and stayed silent. Levi also kept silent about it and refused to even look at Hange.

"I knew it! I knew it, I knew it, I knew it!" She started laughing as if she won something and rubbing it in their faces. "How cute, I knew you and short will eventually end up together!" she closed her eyes and grinned.

(A/N) Hi friend! So, how do you feel finally dating the dashing Levi?
