Boats and Ships
"What the fuck are you doing here, shitty-glasses?" he asked and crossed his arms in annoyance.
"Hey it's you, shorty! I was just-" Hange was cut off at the sight of the girl peeking behind Levi. "Ooh lookie here, we have ourselves a girlfriend don't we?" She got up from the tub.
"Wh-" Levi realized whom she was talking about and immediately suppressed his blush. "Shut the fuck up. What the hell are you doing here?"
"Wow Levi, you're finally showing colour on your face," she said, pointing out the slight red tint on his cheeks, drawing air circles on his cheeks. "Poor girl, who paid you to like Levi?" She smiled, and pushed past Levi, giving her a hug.
She didn't budge, all this information was too difficult to process- it was not only Levi now, it was also Hange that somehow wound up in her place.
"H-hi" she said as she pulled away from Hange's embrace.
"Don't touch her, (y/n). She's toxic." Levi looked at her as if she had a choice not to touch Hange.
"Has shorty been troubling you?" Hange happily asked with a creepy grin on her face, grabbing her shoulders.
"... Not at all,"
"Hange, I need a word." Levi looked annoyed, they both turned to him "(y/n) would you mind making that chocolate drink for all of us?"
"Sure, but I kinda want to know what's happening here first."
"I'll tell you everything later." he looked at her in the eyes, trying to tell her that he really needed to talk to Hange. She walked away and into the kitchen, unable to fathom the presence of yet another charcter in her home. She still couldn't even comprehend how even Levi got there.
After a while, they came out of her room and went into the kitchen where she had been waiting and saw Hange trying to nudge Levi.
"Stop. I'm doing it." He glared at Hange and sighed.
She was confused, the whole thing just left her dumbfounded. As much as she liked Hange, she still couldn't react happily. Her mind was jumbled.
The look that they gave her made her apprehensive. It was as if they kept a secret from her.
"Just ask her shorty, come on." she nudged him again.
"Shut the fuck up first, then I'll ask her." He rolled his eyes. "Look, this idiot is asking if she could stay here until we're able to get back."
She looked at Hange who was smiling widely, then back at Levi who seemed to be displeased by this request.
"Sure thing, but you really don't have to ask. It's kind of a given that you stay here since you have no way of really going back." she smiled and chuckled as she went into the dining area where she sat.
"Yes!" Hange ecstatically shouted pumping her fist into air.
"By the way, how did you get here, Hange? Maybe we can use your path to figure out how to get you both back home." She took a cup of hot chocolate and sipped it. Hange did the same and stared into the strange liquid before her. But without hesitation, she drank it.
"That place is not home," Levi said, drinking from his cup. "This is more of a home to me than that place is." He continued. She knew how much he resented the titans and how much he desperately wanted to leave his place.
There was a long silence between them until Hange finally spoke up, completely disregarding Levi's previous dialogue.
"Well, I got here when I opened a door to my closet and I saw your bathroom. It was not my closet, so I went in."
"and you had no regard for your own safety? What if something bad laid beyond that door?" She asked. It was typical behaviour for Hange to do whatever she must to discover new things and examine them.
"Well like I said, it was strange, and I thought that this would lead me to new experiments and discoveries, so why not right?" She said with great enthusiasm, her strange grin, present, yet again.
"goodness, Hange. You're going to end up hurting yourself one day." She chuckled. "But yeah, Captain Levi said that he woke up here. It kinda doesn't add up to how you got here."
Levi looked at her. "You don't have to keep calling me 'captain', idiot." this caused Hange to spontaneously laugh, confusing both of them.
"Oh man, you two are such a cute couple." She said, recieving a blush from her and an annoyed glare from Levi.
"W-we aren-" she said quietly.
"Fuck off shitty glasses, or I'll throw you off this building." Levi interrupted.
"Hua?" Hange shouted, "How far up are we?" she asked, her question completely unrelated.
"We're on the eigth floor of the building." She sipped her cup.
"Wow! How tall is that? That's probably 16 metres or something! We could kill a 14-metre class or lower from up here!" Levi sighed, blatantly annoyed of this collateral damage that has invaded his few days of peace.
"Hange, I have a question; aren't your troops looking for the both of you?"
"Hm," She put a finger to her lips "well since Levi left, there haven't been any attacks over the walls, and everything was like how it was about 10 years ago before the walls were attacked. So nah, I don't think we're really needed, I haven't heard demands for Levi in the past few days."
"Hmm." she pondered, looking for a possible theory they could both work with. "Maybe since Levi has crossed to my reality, the plot of yours have become halted?"
Hange looked up, estranged by what she just said. "Plot? Like a story, plot?" Her face visibly showed curiosity.
"Yeah, like how my life is supposedly a part of a plot a book in your reality."
Levi, after being quiet for a while, finally said, "Don't you remember, Hange? This is the idiot I talk about in the book that I'm reading."
"Oh riiiight." Hange nodded slowly. "This is the girl you go crazy about in that book of yours."
She blushed once again, bringing her knees up to her face, propping her heels to the seat.
"Well it turns out she's crazy about me too from that book that we supposedly live in." Hange looked at her and laughed, causing her to hide her face in her knees, feeling embarrassed.
"Oh man, really? Shorty? Him?" Hange pointed, although she couldn't see it. "What about Eren? He's adorable!" She patted her head, recieving an annoyed look from Levi. "It's okay, (y/n) Levi is okay, sometimes." He glared.
"Why would she even favour that brat over me?" He crossed his arms and legs, leaning back into the chair. Silencing the whole conversation.
"Okay (y/n), before we get into this mutidimensional business stuff, how about we get some food, huh?" Hange got up and went into her kitchen.
"Actually I've ran out of food since I had to feed two and I only usually shop for one. So, I have to go to the store and get food. In the meantime, you guys can eat the food that Levi made and colour some books or something. I don't know." She got up from her seat.
"I will go with you! I want to know how these stores look like in your universe!" Hange insisted, she returned with a disconcerting look.
"S-sure, can you just please act like everything is not new to you?"
"Yes! I promise! Yahoo!" Hange got up from her seat.
"I would also like to accompany you both," Levi said, finishing off his drink. "You'll have trouble taking care of this child by yourself. You also need to get some black tea"
"Okay, just wait here, I have to shower and get changed." she left for her bedroom to get clothes. "Oh right, you too, Hange. You can't go outside with those clothes on." She peeked out the door.
---
"Ahh! Look at this, Levi! Do you see any walls on the horizon?" Hange walked infront of Levi and (y/n), intrigued by everything she walked past.
"Is this how it is without any walls or titans?" Levi asked, also very curious to see the free world.
"mhm," she nodded, looking straight ahead and making sure she was watching over Hange. "It's okay, sometimes can become dangerous, but the danger doesn't compare to your place. Maybe if we find out how Hange's door portal thing works, we can use that for you to travel here anytime." She smiled, still looking forward.
He turned to look at her, his face remained blank.
"Here we are," she pointed towards the store and stopped infront of it. "Please stay near me, I do not want to lose both of you, it's a large city here. You guys can wander around, but please do stay inside the store." Hange walked right next to her and gave her a thumbs-up.
"Sure thing!" Hange patted her shoulder with her other arm.
With that, the three walked into the store, both Hange and Levi allowed their eyes to wander around and questioning her about the automatic door whilst following her to the carts.
"Well, I'll be right back!" Hange ran off.
"I'll stay with you. Hange is already hard enough to take care of." Levi walked beside her as she was pushing the carts.
For all the things they passed, she had to explain to Levi what the things in the shelves were except he immediately spotted the black tea. They saw Hange from time to time, running about in the store.
"Hey! (y/n)!" a familliar voice called her from behind. It was one of her friends at school. "Hey, what's up? How's your summer?" He said, approaching her.
"Nothing, really. I just have work on wednesdays and thursdays." She scratched her head. Levi walked to her side.
"Who's this?" He asked coldly.
"Uhm, Levi this is Chris, and Chris, this is Levi, my uhh, friend." she smiled nervously.
"Hey, it's nice to meet you." Chris smiled and reached out to Levi.
"Likewise." Levi returned as if he felt the exact opposite.
"Hey, we should hang out this summer. Mine's been pretty boring, how about the beach? Lets ask everyone else in our group."
"Yeah, we should." she smiled.
Levi grabbed her hand and headed to walk past Chris, pushing the cart with his other arm.
"Hey, I'll see you around!" She shouted back at him who seemed confused by her sudden exit. "Levi, what are you doing?" she looked at him, pushing the cart with the other hand.
"Y-yea sure!" he replied. "Bye!"
She waved back.
"(y/n) Let's go home, I am getting hungry. It was nice meeting your friend" his hands wrapped around hers and pulled her away.
"You obviously didn't like him, Levi." She chuckled, he didn't flinch and kept walking forward. "By the way, we still have to look for Hange."
"Here I am! Hello lovely couple!" She came up behind them.
She noticed that her hands were still intertwined with his. She immediately let go, and caused him to give her a look.
"Okay, let's go."
