"... airplanes?" Hajime questioned when we arrived at the airport. "Yeah, this is an airport, airhead" Ayano chuckled, getting a glare from Hajime.
"Could we use those airplanes to escape this island?" He asked in a hopeful voice.
All of a sudden, a pink-haired guy popped out of nowhere, saying "Nah, that's impossible." Ayano jumped, and immediately pulled her knife from its holder on her leg
"AAAH, WHAT THE HECK!?" he screamed, looking at the weapon in your hand.
"Ah. It's just... You." she said, putting her knife away into its sheath. "WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT?" He yelled confused. "Reflex, sorry." Ayano scratched behind her neck nervously.
"Anyways, if those planes were damaged I could fix em. But they're just for show." He explained. "Just for show?" Hajime asked concerned. "The engines have been completely removed. Nothing I can do about that sorry." He explained.
"Oh yeah that reminds me, I haven't introduced myself to you guys except Nagito." He smirked.
"Name's Kazuichi Souda, I'm the ultimate mechanic. Nice to meetcha!"
"As expected from someone called the Ultimate Mechanic, Kazuichi is a savant when it comes to fixing machines. If he says it's impossible to fix this plane, it's truly beyond repair," explained Nagito smiling.
"Even so... To actually remove the engine, whoever's keeping us here must've planned this to a T." Kazuichi sighed.
You think so too, huh... Doesn't that seem pretty strange to you?" questioned Hajime.
"Yeah, it's pretty strange, but I think it's an acceptable level of strange, y'know?"
"...Huh?"
"Well, think about it... It's not like we're being forced to do something dangerous or anything..." he pointed out. "That was mentioned in the safety precautions for this school trip. Remember? The school trip guidelines written in the e-Handbook?"
"It looks like we're being kept safe, so why wouldn't this be like any other school trip?" questioned Kazuichi sweatdropping.
"There's nothing dangerous on this island... Spend these peaceful and relaxing days nourishing hope... Just as Usami said earlier. It seems these rules are in place to help us do that..." said Nagito, apparently thinking loudly.
"Are you saying to believe what that thing told us? She forced us to come here you know?" Hajime yelled flustered.
"Well, I guess it's okay if we just enjoy our vacation and see how this whole thing plays out, right?" Kazuichi grinned. "Heh-heh! If you stare closely at that strange lookin' bunny girl, she might start lookin' pretty cute! Just like her!" he pointed at Ayano.
Ayano's cheek's turned bright red. "wha- How am I cute?" She argues.
"Hey but it's true!" Souda winked. They are soon interupted by a voice coming from nearby.
"No... It can't be, has the demon king come to bring his chaos on this fallen world!" A deep voice was heard from behind Souda. He stepped out of the way and saw a guy standing there with his hands in fists and looking up.
"Are you okay?" Hajime asks the dude. "How dare thee approach the Tanaka Empire!" He booms. four hamsters pop out of the man's scarf and he stands with one arm in the air.
"BEHOLD THE FOUR DARK DEVAS OF DESTRUCTION!" He smiles.
"oh. my. gosh." Ayano stares at the hamsters. "thatisthemostcutestthingi'veeverseenthey'resocuteicantevenspacemyownwords!" She gasps in awe at the four hamsters.
She bends down and looks at one of the hamsters, "hello!" she smiles. "How very brave of you to attempt speaking to star-destroyer grey fox SUN-D!" He booms.
"In honor of your courage, I shall reveal to you my name. May you never forget it as long as you live!"
"You may call me... Gundham Tanaka! Remember it well, for it is the name that will one day rule this world!"
Ayano stood back up and held her hand out. "Ayano Mya, Ultimate Archer. Pleasure"
He looks at her hand and grabs it with his thumb and index finger, shaking it. "Uhh, okay?" she awkwardly smiles. She moves next to him so Nagito can Introduce Hajime to him.
"Now then, it is my turn to ask questions. Whose master are you?" he asked. Hajime tilted his head and muttered an "eh?".
"Which tribe did you make your pact with? Answer me!" Gundham ordered impatiently.
"He's asking if you ever had a pet..." Nagito and Ayano say in unison.
"Pet...? No... The only animal I've taken care of was a hermit crab we passed around in elementary school." Hajime answered nervously.
"So, a mere insect!" Gundham yelled, shocked. "Hah! Your Magic Essence caps at a lowly five! Trash!"
"T-Trash, really..." Hajime muttered, clearly hurt.
"Hmph! Is it wrong to call trash 'trash'? Trash like you should not dare to speak to one as grand as me" he yelled, gesturing at himself.
"Do you know what is he talking about...?" Hajime whispered to Ayano. "No idea... Just roll with it " she whispered back.
"Behold my empire!" Gundham yelled and the hamsters popped out again.
"Something strange just came out of your scarf!" Hajime pointed out, sweatdropping.
"Taming evil by using myself as a bed... Truly, this is the secret art of the Tanaka Empire!"
"It's like something you'd see on a nature show. I guess he totally fits the bill of Ultimate Breeder..." Nagito explained.
"One of my Four Dark Devas of Destruction, Mirage Golden Hawk Jum-P, has this to say: 'We're not used to going easy on our enemies... So don't make us angry. You wouldn't like us when we're angry.' Fuhaha...! Fuhahahahahahahaha!" he laughed.
Suddenly one of the hamsters, (guessing SUN-D) jumped on Ayano's shoulder. Tanaka let out a gasp as the hamster ran down her arm and into her hand.
"You are more powerful than I thought you were! Sun-D has taken a liking to a mortal like you!" He laughs. Ayano lifts her finger and pets it.
"Aww! It's so cute!" She smiles and pets its fluffy fur. "R-Really? Thanks" Gundham blushed and hid behind his scarf.
"Uhm, yeah... I know he seems a little odd, but apparently he did splendidly as a member of the Breeding Club. I've heard he can tame any animal and even managed to succeed at proliferating an endangered species. Rumor has it he can speak to animals... Well, that's probably just a joke." chuckled Nagito.
"Well we should be going, Here you go." Ayano held her hand out with Sun-D on it and he jumped from her hand to his shoulder and burrowed in his scarf.
"I shall meet you again Courageous one! and you men too.." He added as they left.
Somehow they made their way over to the hotel Mirai. Once they entered they noticed a girl with pastel pink hair laying on the couch playing a video game on a portable DS.
"Hey, we haven't introduced ourselves yet," Hajime said. The girl didn't react, her eyes pierced on the game screen. "Hello?" He questioned again.
"HEY CHIAKI!" Nagito yelled. The girl looked up and smiled. "Oh sorry... I must have been too focused on my game. I'm Chiaki Nanami, Ultimate Gamer. Video games is my hobby and I'm a fan of all genres."
the was a silent pause.
"Nice to meet you" She finished with a yawn.
"I'm Hajime Hinata and this is Ayano Mya." he smiled at the girl. She muttered a quiet 'pleasure' and carried on with her game.
"It seems this conversation is going... slow." Hajime sighed. "Thanks, Sherlock." Ayano rolled her eyes. "Well she is gaming right now..." Nagito smiled.
"It's more like..." Chiaki started and paused. "I'm the kind of person who has to gather my thoughts before I can start talking." She explained. "Like, I can't talk that well unless I've already prepared everything I want to say in my head... especially when I'm meeting new people... Well, if I get used to them, I can usually talk a little faster." She ended her explanation with a huge yawn. "...I'm sleepy."
"That's okay, we will move on now" Nagito smiled and they left the gamer girl to her gaming device.
Thye made their way over to a girl who had light grey hair tied in two braids.
She suddenly lifted her hand in a stopping motion. "State your business." She ordered. "Well Her and I, we just want to introduce ourselves," Hajime said, quite worried.
"An introduction?" She paused. "Understood, I do not mind."
"I'm Hajime Hinata. Nice to meet you."
"Ayano Mya."
"My name is Peko Pekoyama. Nice to meet you too."
"This dignified-looking woman is known as the Ultimate Swordswoman. It's hard to believe someone with a cute name like Peko Pekoyama could be so skilled with a blade." Nagito chuckled. "I've heard she's a kendo master and that most adult men don't even stand a chance against her."
"If what that rabbit said is true, we are excepted to live together on this island," Peko said.
"It is necessary for men and women who live together to respect each other. Don't try anything inappropriate..." she said to the two boys. "I would prefer... Not to kill anyone," she added.
"Thanks, Peko, but I think we should be okay." Ayano smiled.
"Wait... Kill...? Isn't that sword on your back made of bamboo?" Hajime asked, confused and scared. "Though it may seem impossible to kill someone with this, a misaimed blow can be fatal," she answered. "Well, an aimed blow can be fatal, too..."
Hajime gulped. "Well nice to meet you Peko, shall we head upstairs?" Nagito said, turning towards Ayano and Hajime.
"Damn, this is the hotel's restaurant?" Hajime said in awe.
"It's enormous! We could easily hold a banquet here. Its kind of has this tropical, open country feeling..." Nagito cheered. "...Open? Even though we're stuck on this island?" Hajime whined.
They heard some mumbling and looked up to see a chubby like guy talking to a girl with long flowing blonde hair.
"That's right, I'm having a hard time because its full of poison!" He says, with a bit of a smirk.
"Speaking of which, it'd be great if you could use your mouth to suck it out..." he continued.
"Poison... I see..." the princess muttered.
Suddenly Ayano rushed up to them. "hey, I would be glad to help you out!" She said warmly. His face lighted up and his smirk grew wider. "ooH really?"
"Yep! I'll chop your loins off." She said coldly gesturing towards her knife.
"That's fine! I'm not picky" He says with a smug grin and a bloody nose. "Boy if you don't-" Ayano was cut off when the other girl held her hand out.
"Hello! It's nice to meet you" She says with a smile. "Hello, my name is Hajime Hinata. Nice to meet you." He said as he shook her hand.
"Ayano Mya."
"My name is Teruteru Hanamura. On the streets, I'm known as the Ultimate Cook... But could you guys call me the Ultimate Chef instead? It has more of a... Big city flavor to it, ya know?"
"mhmmmmmm I hope we get along verrry well." He says with a wink. "uh I don't think I asked-" Ayano was cut off by the other girl.
"Oh my! I'm terribly sorry I haven't properly introduced myself." She said, covering her mouth a bit.
"My name is Sonia Nevermind." She said warmly.
"I am a foreign exchange student from a small European kingdom called Novoselic," she explained. "I may cause trouble here and there, but I hope we can get along well."
"Are you enchanted Hinata? Well I guess that can't be helped." Nagito chuckled. "Sonia here is the Ultimate Princess. Which means she has actual royal blood too."
"I am very happy right now. This is awe-some!" Sonia says excitedly. "What are you happy about?" Hajime asks.
"In my home country, I... did not have a single friend my age whose standing in society matched my own. So, to be able to do something like this with everyone is a new experience for me... I shall extol your virtues."
"Hey you four! Am I being left off the menu or something?" Teruteru asked. "Oh Teruteru, it's so like you to check out the restaurant first. As the Ultimate Chef, do you like it?" Nagito asked.
"Mhmhmhm... I would be lying if I said I wasn't interested." Teruteru chuckled. "And since I do not want to be a liar, then truthfully... Yeah, I like it. Though I like the big-city flavor of my hometown, a country atmosphere like this is also splendid. Mhmhmhmhmhm...!"
"Hey, are you...?" Hajime started, but the cook interrupted, "Refined? Cultured? Guilty as charged!"
"No, not that... You just don't seem very worried, huh?"
"Worried? What's there to worry about? Actually, I'm really happy." he smiled pervertedly.
"Alright guys we should carry on-" Nagito said, his cheeks glowing a bit pink. "Nice to meet you Sonia and Teruteru."
"Farewell friends!" Sonia waved gleefully and continued her conversation with the chef.
The three 'friends' walked down the outside steps from the hotel to the pool, and saw three people spread around it.
The three made their way over to a muscular looking man.
"Hm...? oh Hello there." He looked down on the three figures. "Ah right, I haven't told you my name yet."
"I am... The Ultimate Team Manager NEKOMARU NIDAI!!!!" He roared.
"U-Uhm... Hello. I'm Hajime Hinata..." Hajime mumbled.
"Hold it right there! Your voice is too soft! Let your voice rise from the bottom of your stomach!" Nekomaru ordered.
"U-Uhm... I'm Hajime Hinata!" Hajime said, just a little bit louder.
"Noooooo! You can be louder than that! Do it again!" he yelled.
"My name is Hajime Hinata! Pleased to make your acquaintance!" Hajime yelled, now loud. Ayano tried to hold back a laugh.
"And you?" He panned his head over to Ayano. "Ayano Mya Ultimate Archer." She said in a loud clear voice.
"Hm. Good enough." He chuckled.
"Wait so he isn't on a team, he just manages one?" Hajime asks turning to Nagito.
"Well not just, he is an ultimate after all." Ayano awkwardly says.
"He traveled to numerous towns and played an active role in various sports clubs managing their teams. For instance, he led some high school rugby teams full of delinquents to victory in the national playoffs... He also rescued a baseball club on the verge of being shut down, and led them to national victory as well... Rumor has it he's even training that famous Japanese pitcher who plays in the American Leauge." Nagito explained.
"Gah-hahahaha!" Nekomaru laughs.
The three stare blankly at him until a girl with vibrant red hair dashes over holding a camera.
"Hello! You guys seem to be having fun, lemme take a snap!" She smiles and holds up the camera. The three turn from the laughing Nekomaru, and the camera flashes.
"Yay!" She smiles. They walk over and look at the digital screen.
In the photo there's a laughing Nekomaru in the background, Nagito and Ayano on either side of Hajime. Nagito with a big smile and Ayano with a small warm one. Hajime on the other hand, in the middle of the two with an arched eyebrow.
"Wow! Such hope has already begun with pictures like these!" Nagito said happily.
The girl looked up from her camera, "Hey aren't you the guys with their faces buried in their arms at the beach today?"
"Yeah...?" Hajime answers. "Hey... You gotta keep it together, you know? At times like this, it's the boys' job to keep the girls safe. " she said.
"Y-You're right..." he mumbled.
"Did you want me to introduce myself? I haven't done it yet right?" She sighs putting her camera in her little bag.
"Let's see... I'm Mahiru Koizumi. I'll be counting on you for now on!"
"Mahiru is known as the Ultimate Photographer. She has a promising future as a photojournalist. I'm not an expert on photography but I hear she's a young photographer who has won numerous awards. On that note... She's known for her skill at taking pictures of people." Nagito explained.
"Honestly, I'm a little relieved. You guys seem decent enough." Mahiru said.
"..hm, Decent?" Hajime questions.
"Well, there's a lot of weirdos here. I can't tell if they're really Ultimates or like, just insane... I'm eager to get along with everyone so we can get off this island, but I was worried things wouldn't go well. " She said.
"Get off this island... what do you mean?" He asks the girl.
"Huh, you don't know? That's what that stuffed animal Usami was saying. After you finish collecting all the Hope Fragments that you earn by getting along with everyone... This joke of a school trip will be over, and we can all leave this island together." Mahiru explained smiling.
"T-That's all we have to do and we can go home!? Is that true? Did she really mean that!?" Hajime yelled, completely shocked.
"Hey, you should be paying closer attention! This is, like, really important!" she yelled at Hajime.
"Yeah I agree with Mahiru, How many times have I told you that Hinata?" Ayano sighs annoyed.
"Well, I'll see you around. See ya!" Mahiru left and started to head towards the hotel Lobby.
"That was... short and sweet?" Ayano sighs. "...sweet" Hajime scoffs. "Hey let's talk to him!" Nagito points to a shorter boy with blonde hair.
"...Who the hell are you? Don't talk all friendly and shit to me, dumbass." he growled.
"Well, you seem nice," Ayano said with a dead expression. "What did you say bitch!!" He shouted, infuriated.
Ayano opened her mouth to say something and stepped forward but Nagito grabbed her shoulder and held it tightly. "R-relax Fuyuhiko. We're only here to introduce ourselves." He explained.
"Tch... Names Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu. Just so we're clear, I don't plan to act friendly and shit with you guys."
"Fuyuhiko is a high school student and heir to the Kuzuryuu Clan." Nagito started.
"Eh? The Kuzuryuu Clan... Don't tell me he's-!?" Hajime yelled, but Ayano interrupted.
"Ultimate Yakuza. I've heard a lot about them, being in the archery industry." She said emotionless.
"You do?" Fuyuhiko, Nagito and Hajime said in unison. She looks over at them androlls her eyes, "You learn new things everyday, don't be too surprised."
"Anyways, we should look around and see if anyone else is here. See you Fuyuhiko." Nagito waved and he dragged the group away from the teen.
"Did I ask?" He mumbled as they left.
-ˏˋ⋆ ̥ ̣̮ ̥ ͙ʰ͙ᵉ͙ˡ͙ˡ͙ᵒ͙ ̥ ̣̮ ̥ ⋆ˊˎ-
Nagito managed to drag the group to the central island and they stood in front of a grand statue. "Wow! What a great statue!" Nagito said warmly. "Yeah, but isn't it slightly creepy?" Hajime wonders aloud. "You think so? I think it's pretty epic. I get the feeling it's the source of all the hope that's spread among this island."
"Nagito, not to be mean but you should probably do a Chiaki and think about what you say before you say it." Ayano sighed, "You sound like Gundham; making no sense."
Nagito looked over from the statue and noticed a big figure.
"Hey Byakuya!" He shouted. "What do you want" the fat man hissed.
"Do you have time for a quick introduction?" Ayano asked, folding her arms.
"...Introduction?" The man questioned.
"Well, I'm Hajime Hinata," Hajime said politely. "Ayano Mya."
"My name is Byakuya Togami."
"I'm done. Back off." He hissed.
"Well, I suppose that's Byakuya for you..." Nagito chuckled nervously.
"What do you mean?" Hajime asked.
"That guy is particularly special, even by Ultimate standards... He's next in line to inherit his family's massive financial conglomerate. He's already begun managing the business operations, and his net worth is, well, enormous. It's completely accurate to call him the Ultimate Affluent Progeny. He's the epitome of 'exceptional'." he explained.
There was a sudden familiar noise.
ᴅɪɴɢ ᴅᴏɴɢ ʙɪɴɴɢ ʙᴏɴɢ
"Was... that a school bell just now?" Hajime questioned.
"Ayano, Hajime look at the monitor over there." Nagito pointed out to a monitor in a tree.
Usami popped up on the screen, looking very proud.
"Congratulations, everyone!" she cheered. "It appears that everyone has finished collecting the Hope Fragments! I'm..." she sniffed, "I'm so happy... Soooo... I've prepared a present for everyone that'll make you all veeeeery happy! I apologize for the trouble, but please gather at the beach! Tee hee hee! May shining hope be with you all!"
The monitor shut off with a small 'click'.
"We should probably start heading over to the beach." Ayano sighed, turning around from the group. "W-wait Ayano! Is it okay? What if shes tricking us?" Hajime askes worried.
She turns and rolls her eyes. "It should be fine, and Besides you have me to protect you" She smiled and grabs the two boys wrists. "Now hurry up wusses."
The group finally arrived at the island, with everyone else waiting.
"You guys are the last to arrive. What are you dilly-dallying for?" Byakuya hissed at them.
"Sorry to keep you all waiting." Nagito smiled.
"Well, it's all right..." Byakuya mumbled. "More importantly, this is our only chance to talk between ourselves before that rabbit returns."
"Kyahahaha! Let's talk then" Hiyoko laughs waving her hands around.
"Now then, let me hear your initial impressions of this island," he ordered.
"I happened to notice numerous blocked off bridges on the central island..." Peko said.
"Oh, those are there so everybody doesn't get lost!" Ibuki pointed out cheerfully. "I tried to cross one of them and that rabbit showed up and told me, so I'm telling the truth!"
"So we don't get lost...? Is this island really so big?" Peko questioned, placing her index finger on her chin.
"But if you look at it in-depth, it's just a normal island, right? It's got a resort and everything!" Kazuichi grinned, relaxing his hands on the back of his neck. "Well, not that I've ever been to a resort before, but..."
"Also, there's a biiiiig ranch!" Hiyoko cheered.
"Uhm... There's also a large supermarket, too... It looks like it stocks everything from food to living amenities." Mikan muttered shyly.
"The hotel was really nice, too. It'd be great if we can stay there." Mahiru said.
"The restaurant inside the hotel was also very nice. It seemed to cater to a more plebeian taste." Sonia smiled.
"Can you guys listen to what I wanna say, too?" Teruteru asked with a serious face.
"No not really," Ayano said with a dead expression.
"I... Found something very important on this island," he said. Then his nose started to bleed. "Girls! Very, very cute girls! Aha! All over the place!"
Ibuki made a gagging expression, "Grooooosss! I'm getting goosebumps all over."
"You are all fools, I can't believe no one has mentioned the most serious truth," Byakuya grumbled, folding his arms.
"Huh?" Chiaki yawned, blinking a couple times.
"Have you all been to the park across the bridge?" Togami asked. "Yeah, we were just there," Ayano answered coldly, cracking her knuckles.
"When I saw it, I remembered a story I heard before..." he started. "There's an island in the Pacific Ocean, a beautiful island paradise where summer never ends... It consists of a central island surrounded by five different islands... It's also said that five holy animals symbolize each of those surrounding islands. That island's name is... Jabberwock Island."
"Could this island be..." Nagito wondered aloud.
"Still, there is something on my mind. In fact, according to what I've heard, Jabberwock Island is already... Nevermind."
"Hold it right there! That's a rather incomplete story you've told us." Nekomaru yelled at him.
"No need to shout. I'll let you know once I obtain more information." Byakuya said with an annoyed expression.
"Meh, I don't care what this island's called. Nikoniko Island or Papua Island or whatever..." Akane muttered. "Doesn't change the fact that we all gotta live here, right?"
"Living together on this tropical island sure is exciiiiting! I'm super looking forward to it!" Ibuki cheered.
"Right on! This ain't a bad school at all!" Kazuichi grinned.
"H-Hey, you guys..." Hajime muttered.
"Hmm, I like this island too!" Hiyoko smiled. "... Can't say the same about the rest of you cretins," she added.
"Huh? Did I hear something?" Teruteru sweatdropped.
"I'm still worried, but I don't feel as worried as I did earlier..." Mahiru said. "Yeah, since there's no danger or inconvenience, I feel like this won't be a problem!"
"Hey, listen to what you guys are saying. We need to stay calm and think about this...!" Hajime yelled. "We're all here to attend Hope's Peak Academy, right? But we're living on an island like this instead... No matter what, it's completely weird!"
"Why don't you stop talking for a while? Go cool your head off or something." Gundham growled, crossing his arms.
"P-Plus even if we wanted to leave, there's no way we can..." Teruteru pointed out.
"There's no ship, and the planes are just for show..." Kazuichi sweatdropped.
"From what I've discovered, there's no way to connect the outside world, either..." Peko explained. "In conclusion... It would be impossible to call for help."
"Then, why don't we just swim home?" Akane suggested.
"There's no way we can swim that far...!" Mikan cried. "SHOW SOME SPIRIT!!!" Nekomaru growled.
"I'm telling you, that's impossible!" Mahiru shouted.
"Th-Then... What if we cut down some trees and made a raft...?" Hajime muttered, slowly losing hope.
"Nuh-uh! You can't do that! That's the biggest of no-nos!" Usami appeared angrily. "Please recall the guidelines of this school trip! 'Littering is not allowed. Let us coexist with this island's bountiful nature in mutual prosperity.' Got it? I want everyone to get along and live peacefully on this beautiful tropical island."
"Wh-What's with these rules? Who cares about that...!" Hajime yelled.
"Stop. This rabbit seems to be rather finicky about these so-called rules." Byakuya hissed. "Based on that, what if your actions place everyone here in danger?"
"Th-The word 'danger' is a bit much! I wouldn't do something like that!" Usami yelled.
"Hajime... I understand how you feel, but you need to calm down a little, okay?" Nagito tried to calm him.
"F-For now... As long as we don't do anything weird, it seems there is no danger..." Mikan muttered.
"And as long as we gather the hope fragments, we'll be able to get off this island soon" Chiaki explained.
"Y-You're all just gonna believe that...?" Hajime mumbled with disbelief.
"There's no other choice but to believe... For now, that is." Byakuya sighed.
...
"Anyway, Usami! What's this present you mentioned in your announcement earlier?" Ibuki asked excitedly.
"Ah, that's right! Well, of course, I didn't forget..." Usami muttered, and took out a little doll from herself. "Love, love! This is it!"
Don't be upset! I've prepared one for you all, so don't worry!" she giggled.
"... What is this...?" Nagito muttered.
"Pfft, teehee! It's a Usami Strap!" she giggled more. "If you squeeze the tummy, it talks."
"I'm Usami... Magical Miracle Girl ☆ Usami. I'm an itty bitty girl who's sweet like milk!" the strap said.
"Isn't it cute? Love, love!" She squealed excitedly.
"... What a waste of time." Byakuya hissed.
"Man, and I got my hopes up, too..." Ibuki whined.
"I'm ashamed I even had my hopes up!" Teruteru cried.
"Really? I think it's pretty cute. Especially how the ears look like a rabbit's..." Chiaki said.
"Well Usami does mean rabbit you know!" Usami smiles, jumping into the air.
After everyone got their own strap, they just threw it in the sand.
"Hey! You can't taint nature with trash!" Usami yelled.
"See? Even you think they're trash!" Ibuki pointed out.
Usami started to pick up the straps from the sand, sobbing.
"I will... keep mine," Ayano said surprisingly. Ayano? The Ultimate Archer keeping a shitty little toy?
There were a lot of mumbles from the other students and Usami looked up, looking very happy.
"What I'm not an asshole. She probably worked hard on em." Ayano hissed.
Suddenly Usami wrapped her little paws around her legs and hugged her, as she was short that's all she could hug.
"Thank you! Thank you!" She sobbed. "H-hey, you can let go now." Ayano gasped.
"Tee hee, great! You know, I prepared one more present!" Usami cheered.
"Hm? You have something else?" Peko asked her.
"Well, compared to the Usami Strap, it's not that big of a deal... Basically, I've prepared a motive for everyone." Usami explained.
"M-motive?!" Hajime almost screamed. "Yes! A motive for everyone to get along!" She hugged herself.
"We've come all this way to this island, so it'd be great to do something island-themed!"
"Like what? Are you thinkin' of throwin' a big party or somethin'?" Akane asked.
"Coooorrect!" Usami cheered.
"Is it a festival? Or maybe a miniature shrine? How wonderful!" Sonia smiled with stars in her eyes.
"If we're talking about fun parties on a tropical island, maybe it should be a barbeque or something?" Ibuki asked, full of excitement.
"Ah, a campfire sounds fun, too." Mahiru smiled.
"Let's find a hoop snake and kill it!" Hiyoko cheered.
"Is looking for one not enough for you!?" Kazuichi shouted.
"It seems everyone has different ideas, but if we're gonna be at the ocean, then first..." Usami took out seventeen swimming bags. "Tadaaa! This is what it's all about!"
"Swimming bags?" Nagito asked.
"Coooorrect! Love! Love!" she cheered.
"Whoooaaa! Then that means..." Kazuichi muttered.
"That's right. I have swimsuits for everyone. Well, school swimsuits actually. I hope that's okay." Usami said.
"A-Are you telling us to go swimming...? In a situation like this...?" Hajime asked with disbelief.
"YAAAHHHOOOOOO!!!" Ibuki cheered.
"...Eh?"
"Aw yeah! That's what I'm talking about! With weather this nice, there's no way I'm gonna pass on swimming!" Kazuichi grinned.
"I agree! Even my loins agree! See?" Teruteru said.
"Come on Hajime!" Nagito shouted as Ayano threw him a blue swim bag, while she picked up a pink one for herself.
"Yeah, don't be a wuss." She chuckled.
