Alec woke with his head pounding and back aching even though he was rested. He would have energy if he ever just slept on his 10,000 $ bed but he didn't even get 15 minutes last night. He spent the whole time on the couch thinking about the disappointment in Magnus beautiful eyes. That boy was so different from every other Alec had ever met and that was exactly why he had to stay away from him. Alec fell asleep in a sitting position maybe around 4am.

The the pain in his back was probably the punishment for hurting Magnus. He wished he could travel back and stop himself from ever kissing Magnus. He felt so bad for giving Magnus hope with the kiss and then basically punching him in the face. Alec hated how he just lost control for that one split second but it was like he was possessed. Alec sat up straight stretching his arms and yawning when an annyoing knock landed on his front door making him groan.

"Open up, Sunshine... you’re already late." Hao’s voice flooded his apartment as Alec’s glance flashed to the clock hovering over his dresser. His eyes almost popped out of his skull when he realized it was past eight and he jumped up from the couch. He rushed to the door and ripped it open just when Hao was about to knock again. "There you are... wow... you aren't even dressed." Hao was rather surprised to say the least because the only time he ever saw Alec like this was after the new years party in the club two years ago.

He had dark blue bags under his bloodshot eyes and wrinkled clothes from the night before just contributing to the entire look making him appear a mess. "Give me 5 minutes... and make coffee." Alec answered and Hao nodded letting himself in as Alec hurried off to get ready. It took Alec two coffees to be even near the vicinity of a talking. "So... what happened?" Hao proclaimed as they were driving to the FBI office and Alec sighed a little but if there was one person he would talk to about this with it was Hao. "I broke a boys heart... unwillingly for once." Alec answered annoyed with himself. Hao rose an eyebrow knowing what happened yesterday but only half of it.

"I know you kissed him... he is quite special I have to admit that." Hao confessed and somehow this confession made Alec’s blood boil. Of course other men must find Magnus attractive and have an eye for himself well. Alec hadn’t thought about that until now and the more he thought about others being able to have Magnus while he couldn't the more he fumed. He felt these weird sensations crawl up his leg and further to his heart. It made him furious, upset and confused all at the same time.

"It all would be so much easier if you didn't play the cold guy." Hao sighed knowing Alec hated this too but he would never show anyone because how could you admit you hate who you are when you will never be able to be anyone else. Alec wasn't always cold and his emotions weren't always paralyzed but he was used to it by now. His past forced him to be cold and the pain slowly paralyzed all his feelings... but this boy. This boy with the beautiful caramel skin and fluffy brown hair was like a key.

He was like a key that fit perfectly into the door where Alec’s heart was frozen. The key was turning. "I can't change it, now can I?" Alec asked annoyed, sipping his coffee as his eyes were locked on the road. "No you can't and I know that but I also know that this boy is taking a crack at your walls because the way you instantly calmed down when he woke up showed immediately. I know you are who you are and I know what you went through but the past is the past and the present is now. Don't live in things that are over now, Alec." Alec was glued to Haos words and he might appreciate them in the future but right now he didn't like them at all.

Hao was one of the only people who knew about Alecs past and Hao never used it against him because he was his friend. "Easier said than done. By the way you sound like Quin." Alec replied a half smirk on his lips and Hao chuckled lightly from the mention of that name. "I would kill for one of her sweet pumpkin pies." Hao replied as he swiped his tongue over his upper lip and Alec chuckled. "We should visit her today... I haven’t seen her since Saturday and she asked you to bring Matteo with you." Alec replied with a smile and Hao’s face lit up at the mention of his boyfriends name.

"No problem. Let's visit her after work today and Matteo can join us." The way Hao’s eyes glowed when he was talking about someone who was only a Sub in Alecs eyes was actually really sweet. It made Alec laugh when he thought about how Hao only used to enjoy screwing different people every night and how he used to swear that he'd never settle down. Hao was always a man that enjoyed his freedom and liked to change his subs. Sure he had his favorite ones and would spend a few nights with them or even have a two month contract with them occasionally but when Matteo came in their life that all changed.

The second Hao spent his first night with Matteo he was quick to offer him a two month contract and asked him for a longer relationship. There was a bit of a cat and mouse game at first when neither wanted to admit they wanted more than just a sub/Dom relationship.

But suddenly it clicked and Matteo couldn't imagine his life without Hao and it was the same the other way around. Your life won't change for just anything. You won't change for anyone but you are ready to change your life for the one who’s going to change you...//tbc
