The new week began and Zhan was back in his office as usual, taking on new assignments and getting straight to work. Yibo was supposed to be with him, but as soon as they had finished breakfast, he received a call from Agent Nax, reminding him of the weekly task force meeting that he also had to attend. So Zhan drove to the office alone and was relieved that Sia came to the office, even though she was still on vacation, because she was bored out of her mind at home.

Zhan and Sia held their own meeting in which Zhan explained to her which jobs he had already completed, that all the clients had paid him and which new jobs he had accepted. Afterwards, Sia told him about all the things she and her fiancé had gotten sorted out in the past week for the upcoming wedding. "Well, now that everything is really sorted, I've had nothing to do, I've been bored and wondering if my dear good boss might need me in the office." She concluded her story.

"I'm glad you're here. There's not much for you to do now, but maybe you could sort the emails and print out the bank statements and file them for the accounts department. Oh yes, and then there are the tax documents that need to be filled in. It would be good if you could start with that. I'll do the rest myself later." Zhan said.

"So boss, it sounds like I've got enough work to do all day today. I'll get right on it."

"If you don't get it all done today, that's okay."

"I know. Um, my schedule says you have an appointment with the manager of this one fashion store tomorrow morning at 10 a.m."

"Oh yes, that's right. It's about a new design for his store sign and business card logos. And the appointment with the managing director of Helix should be on Thursday. They need a new web design."

"All right, see you in a bit." Zhan said and read through the job search on a website. It suggests people who are looking for work and fit into his search field. He has already shortlisted three people who are only looking for part-time jobs, have a lot of experience in the profession and would be available immediately.

In the agency, in a large conference room with bare walls, no windows and a bare concrete floor, the agents involved in the "Isla Isari" case gathered. At some point, the agents were divided into teams and six teams were formed, each with 8 agents plus a team leader. Yibo belongs to Team 4 under the team leadership of Agent Nax.

As always, the agents sat down so that the teams sat together at the table, which was made up of several tables. Yibo waited until his team had sat down and then sat down as well. He sat next to Agent Lee and the other chair next to him remained empty. At least until another agent sat down there.

As Yibo looked at the agent, he wondered why he was there? Because as far as he knew, Agent Jackson Wang didn't belong to any of the teams. Nevertheless, he was glad to see him. Through their undercover work in show business, the two had had dealings with each other on several occasions. Like him, Jackson Wang is a well-known and popular idol. He is also a good agent who is highly praised for completing several undercover missions quickly and successfully.

Yibo grinned at him and said: "Good morning agent, long time no see. What are you doing here? Are you part of Team 3 now?" He asked the latter because Jackson Wang was sitting next to the Team 3 agents.

"Hey Buddy. No, I'm not part of Team 3, I'm part of your team now. I'm replacing Chu Lei. But that won't be officially announced until after the meeting." Replied Jackson Wang.

"Why is Chu Lei being replaced?"

Jackson Wang sighed, "He asked for it. I could hear him telling the director that he feels uncomfortable in this team because you're the only nice one to him and the others treat him from above and only let him make coffee."

"I didn't know anything about it."

"I know. I spoke to him briefly and he told me that you were the only one who spoke to him normally and was nice to him. I don't think he likes Agent Nax at all because she blamed him for not succeeding on his first mission."

"Well, that's not his fault. We have a traitor among us and he betrayed Chu Lei."

"I know that too. I was brought up to date before the meeting. The director did it himself. And I have to say, you did a good job at the weekend."

"I can well understand him. Agent Nax wasn't really friendly towards him either, as far as I know her."

"You've got it! She hates everyone at first, until she gets to know them better. She only ever called me Wang for six months. Not Agent Wang, or Wang Yibo. Just Wang. And then, all of a sudden and without warning, she called me Agent Wang. Shortly afterwards, she suddenly called me Yibo. I was so astonished that I stared at her."

When the director finally entered the room, everyone stood up and waited for him to sit down before sitting down again. The greeting was brief, then he asked the team leaders to announce the results of the investigation so far. But apart from Yibo's team, the other teams had nothing new to report.

After the director had listened to everything, he didn't seem very enthusiastic. He praised team four and told the other teams that they should try harder. Of course, they were anything but amused by this and gave Team 4 reproachful looks, which Yibo thought were probably just envy because his team had found new evidence in the investigation and they were the only ones to receive praise, which the director rarely gave.

Finally, the time had come and the director announced that Jackson Wang was now also part of Team 4 and would have the task of investigating people from Mrs. Isari's circle of acquaintances and business partners to find out more about her activities. Of course, Xiao Zhan's help would also be needed for this, as the director specifically emphasized.

Then he came to the information Yibo had been waiting for: "Xiao Zhan will have VVIP status with us from now on. He is no longer just a civilian assistant, but a civilian member of the agency and an integral part of Team 4. Any objections?" No one objected and the director went on to explain the benefits of this for Xiao Zhan and some immediately spoke up and said that it was appropriate for Xiao Zhan to have these new privileges as they would not be able to move forward without him anyway and Zhan had volunteered to help. Furthermore, the director explained that Zhan would be paid for his work stoppage, if there was a work stoppage, and that he would receive a paycheck from the agency as long as the investigation continued.

Yibo was very happy for Zhan, but had the impression that Agent Nax was anything but thrilled. As soon as Director Nu announced that Agent Jackson Wang was now part of Team 4, she made a grim face. Something was wrong with her, Yibo thought. He knew her to be a tough, unyielding and strong woman. But he didn't know this kind of behavior from her. And he had already been working under her leadership for two years.

Before they came to the end of the meeting, the director came back to something he had obviously forgotten. "I want you to find out why Mrs. Isari is so interested in Xiao Zhan's family background!"

Suddenly, Agent Nax spoke up and the Director asked her to speak. She lifted her papers and said, "I started investigating a suspicion of mine on Saturday night."

"What suspicion?" The director interrupted her.

"The suspicion that she might be Xiao Zhan's biological mother." She explained.

"So, is she?" The director asked.

"Um, no. As you know, we took DNA samples from Mrs. Isari during her last interrogation. We also have DNA samples from Xiao Zhan. I instructed the lab to check the two of them for a relationship, the lab went straight to it because of the importance, but the result was negative. She is definitely not his mother. The DNA database didn't show anything either. So it's still unclear why she wants to know so much about Xiao Zhan's family history." She continued to explain and passed around the copied letters with the lab's test results.

As Yibo looked at the test results, he wondered when Agent Nax had taken a DNA sample from Zhan? And he wondered if Zhan even knew about it. But he doubted it. Still, he would ask Zhan as soon as he got back to him. And he would tell him that Isla Isari was not his mother. Since Yibo had the impression that this was a fear of Zhan's.

The meeting was declared over a few minutes later, then Yibo had to go to his team's meeting. However, this took place in Agent Nax's office and only lasted 20 minutes, as she had nothing else to say. Afterwards, Yibo immediately made his way back to Zhan and could hardly wait to tell him about the VVIP status, Jackson Wang and, of course, the DNA test.
