Waves
Precious as the morning rain,
Cool, fresh and faint,
I feel the hot sand,
Soft as a lover's hand.
The sounds of the birds devours voices inside my head.
The calmness of the sea calls to me again.
Virgin waters crash and burn away the hurt of dreams once hollow.
A stream of leaves, a trail for me to follow.
I tread the path into the cool water.
It's crashing momentum burning like fire.
Waves,
Wash me clean.
Waves,
Give me a new purpose.
Waves,
Crash down on me.
Waves,
Carry me to the surface
of forever.
I ask little
And get none.
I prick myself on the spindle,
Caught in a deep sleep, never to see the sun.
I pray an eternity to the seductive sand.
Lead me back to the water, to my lover, my wave.
I cry for my hurt to end,
But I have no soul to save, no heart to crave.
I hear not a call.
Has my beloved sea gone away?
To the waves, I plead.
Wash me clean.
To the waves, I cry.
Don't say goodbye.
The waves I see.
They crash don't on me.
But the waves, I confess,
Carry me to the surface
Of Eternity, of forever.
No foreign life forms dare tread on my sacred waters of salvation.
Their demise evident in its wake.
Mistress sea, hungry for the consumption.
As the trespassers claim their stake.
Ask me for a reason.
I give you none,
Trapped in this eternal season
With the absence of the sun.
Begone from this island of loneliness.
Here I remain dancing in my wet dress.
Because the waves, I see.
It has washed me clean.
The waves with a sigh
Will never say goodbye.
The waves will always be
Crashing down on me.
The waves in this bed
Carries me to the surface
Of paradise, of Eternity, in the land of forever.
