As we walked in the theatre, I requested Neha to exchange seats with Sonakshi and she gladly did. Once we were seated together, Sonakshi coiled her arms around mine and laid on my shoulders with a sigh. She was never a crying person but for the last few days, I noticed that she gets moody and upset easily. She craved for closeness and intimacy more nowadays, not that I was complaining but could it be due to overloading stress?

Dev's POV

Few days had passed after that exhausting movie trip with my family. Everyone had fun that day except the both of us. There was some kind of tension between us and I could feel it. The next few days at office was hectic and Sonakshi's mood swings were too unpredictable.

Sometimes she would just be quiet while other times, she would just try some yoga to keep herself calm. She craved for many food items. But not even once, she pestered me to buy anything for her. She was always understanding. But whenever her emotions got the best out of her, she would just go and sit somewhere around the corner to find some peace. It looked like she was fighting some inner-battle inside her and the worst part was, there was nothing I could do to help her.

It was another Sunday afternoon....

"Sorry Dev.... Please don't get irritated that I am too moody nowadays. I just can't help it. I want to make it better, but the office problems always keep my mind too occupied." She spoke while laying her head on my lap as I stroked her hair.

"Why are you so worried about the problems? Not that I need to advice you. But seriously, you have worked in the company for so long. You should be used to all of this now, right?"

"Dev...I am used to problems. But this one is too rare........ and a serious one too. What if the money is missing? Isn't it my responsibility to handle the money back to the company?" she asked in a worried tone.

"Don't worry love. If anything is wrong, we will settle it together... If nothing can be done, the worst case, I will just draw money from my personal account and settle the company's accounts. Okay?" I asked as she looked at me with shock.

"No Dev! You can't do that! If the money is missing then...." She panicked as I quickly shushed her.

"Shhhh.....just relax. I think you need some relaxation. Why don't you go out and enjoy yourself for a day?" I suggested.

She thought about my offer for a moment and nodded.

"Yes, probably I should go a night-out with Pooja tonight!" she huffed as my eyes turned wide.

"NIGHT-OUT?" my voice came out scarier than I expected.

"Ermm.... Yeah. Please, Dev. It's been a long time. I promise I will return before midnight. Plus your mum and dad are also not at home today. This is best chance I can ever get. Pleaseeeeee" she pleaded with a puppy face that I almost melted.

How could I not agree after looking at that amount of cuteness?

"Fine.... Take my car. But you are not staying later than twelve, okay?" I warned while she grinned and nodded.

Sona's POV

After allowing me to go out with Pooja, Dev got so busy with his laptop. He always works during odd hours. I wonder how he manages to finish all his work. He always seem to be calm and composed. Even when he has a bad day, he would appear normal unlike me, who would just sit down and crack my head until the problems are solved.

After getting changed I called Pooja and told her that I wanted to spend a night out with her. But her answer just disappointed me further.

"Hey Sona, I am really sorry. Jatin and I are travelling to Shimla to visit my parents. I heard that they are sick. So, this was a really last-minute plan. I am sorry. I promise I will follow you once you are back." she said in a worried tone.

"Hey no worries. Take care! Call me once you are back. And is Jatin there?" I asked.

"Yeap.... Wait let me pass the phone to him!" Pooja said as she passed the phone to Jatin.

"HELLOOOO" he screamed as Sonakshi lifted the phone from her ears to prevent permanent deafness.

"God... Jatin!! Seriously? Do you want me to turn deaf? By the way, when will you guys be returning?"

"We will be returning in three days' time, Sona. Nothing much, just a small visit." he said.

"Do you know.... Tomorrow I have the final counting of the transactions and stuff in office... I thought you would be there to help me..." I said in a worried tone.

"Hey Sona... Why are you sounding so upset? I am only a call away ok? If anything goes wrong, then I will be always there to save you. Don't worry, Dev is with you. Just stay strong. Nothing will go wrong. I will be back in two days. So, just chill and don't give my friend a hard time, okay???" he said.

"Yaya whatever.......... Jatin... I don't know why, I just don't feel good."

"Hey, what's wrong?" he asked sounding more worried.

I didn't know why but the feeling of grief was so strong. It was like a sign of something bad going to happen but I didn't want to tell that to Jatin. I tried to be normal but my voice was too shaky.

The heartache I felt was like a red-hot coal placed in the chest, it glowed and burnt me at the same time but it did not cool quickly like a coal in water. It throbbed and tortured slowly once I heard the news of my friends leaving.

Why am I behaving like a small kid? It's not like I am going to not see them forever.

"Jatin, I just want you to know...... You are a great friend, okay?" I told him with a shaky tone. I didn't know why I said that but I just felt like he needed to know how much he means to me.

Damn...Hormones!!!

"Oh crap! Where did this come from? You never told me all this in these seven years... Now when I am going for a three-day trip, you are trying these emotional tricks to stop me huh?" he teased as I could imagine his grin behind the call.

"Whatever... I just thought I wouldn't be able to tell you this later if not now......"

"What do you mean?" he gasped.

"You never know.... Maybe it's my time to take a break!" I giggled as he joined in.

"Awwww! Finally, Dev's brain started working in the right direction, huh?? Anyways, it's time you should take a break too. Just stay away from Nisha. Once I am back, I need to discuss lots of things with you." Jatin muttered.

"Okay...Enjoy your trip.... See you soon!" I said.

But little did I know that the soon was nowhere near....

I sat there thinking how would I spend the rest of the day. But then, a weird thought crossed my mind.

Dev still doesn't know that my plan with Pooja was cancelled.

I could use that as my advantage. But how was I going to do that? I didn't have any place in mind that I wanted to go alone. Since both Ishwari and Jay weren't at home, I could just spend some quality time with Dev. But how was it possible if he keeps on working on his laptop?

That's when an idea sparked in my mind.

I quickly walked inside our room and sat in our bed. I noticed that Dev was still staring at his laptop with some file in his hand. Should I really disturb him? He looks so involved in his work. I walked closer to him and placed my hands on his shoulders.

"Dev, I think I might be coming back later than twelve. Pooja and I have made some plans outside. Hope you don't mind?" I asked as he nodded without looking at me.

"Dev! I AM TALKING TO YOU.." I said louder.

"Okay, do whatever you want. Now please leave and let me work!" he said grumpily making me frown.

"Fine! I am leaving!" I stormed out of the room to get changed.

Dev's POV

I was so stressed out with my work that I didn't notice anything that was happening around me. It was only until I heard Sonakshi's voice echoed in my room.

"Dev.... I am leaving!!!!" she sang as I dragged my eyes from the file and looked up.

That's when my entire world froze.

My jaws dropped while my eyes bulged out in shock and throat went dry at the image that was displayed in front of me. My upper body straightened automatically as I sat on the chair and watched my beautiful wife walking towards the mirror to adjust her lip-gloss.

Beautiful was another dimension. She looked sexy tonight. My eyes roamed from her face towards her neckline of her translucent shirt which hugged her curves perfectly. My eyes roamed downwards to her shorts which were extremely short, revealing her sexy long legs which were inviting me silently to be devoured.

My eyes widened and heartbeat increased in shock. My whole body turned warm and stomach churned while I could already feel the impatient bulge between my legs. My mind was already fantasising about ways to worship her the whole night. All my perverted thoughts had reached another level after seeing her in this outfit.

But wait..... Did she plan to go out like this? What the hell! No way I was going to allow her to step out of this room! I don't care if I was accused as a possessive freak or controlling husband. I just couldn't imagine other guys drooling at her. Damn! NO WAY!

"Sonakshi? Where did you plan your night out at?" I asked, trying to sound normal.

"Ouh...that Frendz club! It's been a long time since we have been wanting to go there. You know... to get some relaxation." she spoke seriously as my mouth opened wide in shock.

I cursed myself for giving her permission to go for that night out now. How am I going to stop her now? Shit... think Dev!

"What's the need to dress like this Sona? This revealing clothes to a club? Are you kidding me or something?" I raised my voice as she remained unaffected and took her eye-liner to continue her make-up. Did she think this was funny?

"Dev, don't be childish. Who wears a saree to the club? By the way, your maa is also not here. So, it's easier for me to sneak out. That's why I chose this attire. You know, I thought I can never wear such clothes after marriage. But thank god. You are such a sweet husband. You have given me so much of freedom to go out...." She trailed as I tensed.

Now I truly regretted my decision.

"Sona! You are not leaving anywhere in this dress! I am calling Pooja right now. I don't care whether I go back against my words. But you are not stepping inside a club unless you are accompanied by me!"

"DEV. But you promised?" she pouted as I went close and pulled her small frame against me.

"Anywhere else my love...... Not a club please." I said as I brushed my cheeks with hers.

"Oh god, Dev... Your stumbles are pricking me." she giggled as I moved away and cradled her face in my hands.

"But you still love them..." I smirked.

"That...I do." she smiled.

"So, you are not going right?" I asked hopefully.

"NOPE! I am definitely going... I need a break..."

"Break from me?" I asked hoping that she would change her mind. But how could I not know? She was damn stubborn.

"No... Just a break with my bestie. I will be back in your arms at night, okay?" she whispered seductively which just increased my arousal for her. Shit....

She quickly slipped away from my embrace and moved towards the door. But before she could open the door, my mind quickly went on an alert mode. I ran just in time to stop her near the door.

I closed the door and quickly locked it. Turning towards Sonakshi, I pushed her inside the room and caged her in my arms.

"What are you doing Dev? Leave me..." she struggled but instead of answering her, I pushed her against the door and placed my lips on hers.
