It had been 5 minutes since Riya was shouting at the stranger. Riya was really pissed off with the way the car drove there.

"Excuse me!! Where do you think you were going, huh??? Just because you have a car, it doesn't mean you can drive anyhow you like...Hey you...I am talking to you! Are you even listening?" Riya yelled, making Sonakshi cringe.

Sonakshi was frozen in her place like a statue.

"Dev..." was all she managed to say in a small whisper. There were no words coming out from her mouth.

Yes, it was none other than the famous Dev Dixit. She almost couldn't believe her own eyes when she saw him there. Her heartbeat increased and sweatbeads rolled down her forehead.

She immediately composed herself and pulled Riya away before she could make the matter worse. She didn't want to meet him. She was not even ready for his questions. Just his glare was enough for her to become unconscious. She did not know how weak she was till she met him! Damn her day was really screwed.

"Riya please get in the bike. We need to go. We are getting late please..."

"But Sona-"

"No Riya... listen to me. We don't need to confront anyone." Sona almost pleaded to her friend.

"Sona, this kind of people have to be taught a lesson!"

"It's okay... Please don't make this big." Sona begged silently. Riya looked at Sona and shook her head restlessly. She could not understand why Sona was being so timid.

Riya got in the bike, still frustrated with the man. But before they could leave the place, they heard him mutter something under his breath.

"Useless middle-class people." Dev spat with an annoyed glare. Riya got furious but before she could retort anything, Sonakshi started the bike and fled off in lightning speed.

"Riya, I don't feel so good. I would like to go to the temple before work. Do you mind if we stop there for a while??" Sona asked when they neared a temple.

"No problem Sona. I will wait for you outside. I have a call to make by the way... Make it fast okay? I don't want to get another lecture from our HR." she said, making Sona smile.

Parking the scooter at a corner, Sonakshi walked inside the temple rapidly. She quickly made a prayer and sat at one corner. The heaviness in her heart increased and tears started to automatically flow from her tired eyes. Looking at god, she silently poured out all her pain and sorrows. After all, it was only god who could listen to her. She felt as if the whole world was against her in this moment.

She did not know how long she was sitting there. But when she felt a little better, she got up and slowly started to head down the stairs to the entrance. While walking in a hurry, her shawl slid down from her shoulder and reached her legs, causing her to slip off the stairs. She immediately panicked and closed her eyes in fear. In a flick of seconds, her mind prepared herself to fall on her back painfully.

But before she could hit the floor, she felt a pair of strong arms encircling her waist. It happened so fast that she didn't know what was happening. Everything felt like a dream.

The moment she opened her eyes, all she could feel was numbness. There he was....again.

Her day could not have gotten worse than this. The person whom she wished to not meet, was standing in front of her, clutching her waist tightly.. He did not even care about the place or the crowd around him. Her arms automatically encircled around his neck while the other clutched his collar in reflex.

This was a disaster.

Dev's POV

She was still the same. Nothing has changed for the past 3 years. Her eyes still held lots of emotion and innocence which made guys go crazy about her. The moment I saw her in the bike, I could see the fear in her eyes. I knew she wasn't expecting me to be here, but too bad. Karma will not leave a single address.

Now she had to face me no matter what!

Finally, I was forced to come to India after 3 years of hell. My father wanted me to settle down in Delhi after taking care of his companies. So, I had no choice but to leave my company at Australia. Leaving Australia was the hardest decision. I did not want to come back here. I was not ready to face anyone. My college mates, friends, family, anyone!!! Most importantly, I didn't want to meet her.

The company I had in Australia was built based on my hardwork. Only I knew how much I sacrificed for that company.

Since my company took over another business, my father was stubborn on getting me back here. Initially, I hated that decision. But ever since I saw her, a new motivation spurred through me. Yes, this is my chance. I will not let her live peacefully.

The way her body reacted to my touch when I held her, made chills rise up my spine. She was still the same fragile doll. My touches still affected her.... Damn she almost fell off from the stairs! Couldn't she walk more carefully??

That was when I noticed her blue dress. The same dress she wore for my birthday 5 years back. Wait...does she still remember my birthday?? Pfft.. Who cares? Now it does not mean anything. To me, she will always remain as a pathetic gold-digger

I felt her struggling to remove herself from me, but I was in no mood to leave her. I now tightened both my arms around her pulling her closer to my chest. Her breath was hitting my neck and I could now see her features closer. Her eyes were swollen and she looked pale. Her hands were trembling around my waist trying to push me off. But little does she know that her actions were turning me on instead. I leaned in more to her when I heard someone screaming. Damn!

Sona's POV

"Sonakshi....jaldi aouu!", Riya screamed. I felt his hands loosening slowly. Taking that as a chance, I quickly dashed away from the place. I did not even dare to look behind. I just hoped Riya did not notice anything.

After that dramatic incident, I was fully occupied with unwanted thoughts throughout the journey to the office. I even ignored a few questions Riya asked me. I guess she found out that I was upset too.

Once we reached the office, I realised that the office was in a chaos. Everyone were tensed and there was huge preparations going on. Then it hit me! The new CEO for our company was arriving today. I had lots of details to collect which I already conveniently forget. Great.

"Shit..you are a looser Sona!" I subconscious taunted myself.

I hope the new boss was at least a bit kind like our old one. I really liked my old boss. He was a man full of wisdom. He promised me that he would help me with my career progression. Wonder what the new boss had in store.

"Sonakshi, have you collected all the data of your research? I hope you do a good job infront of our new boss." Nikita from the HR department asked me.

"Yes, Nikita. I will do my best." I replied and went towards the main hall area where the whole unit was waiting to welcome our new boss.

Everyone had high expectations and all of them were gossiping about how his relationship with the employees was going to be. After about half an hour, there was a luxury car accompanied by four cars making its way towards the entrance. Reaching the entrance, the new boss made his way towards the employees. At that moment, my eyes widened and heart stopped.

There, he was there again. My eyes dilated in fear and realisation. No.. No this can't be true! He can't be here. I shut my eyes, wishing for this whole day to be my nightmare.

However, what I didn't know was that, I was now going to live my own nightmare every single day.

"Hi everyone, meet the new CEO for our company, Mr Dev Dixit.", Nikita announced as my world came crashing around me.
