Roxanne's P.O.V

'They're vampires. You know, as in fangs and sucking blood' Jace told me

'Well? Is it true?' I asked the Mikaelsons

Yes. It's true.' Elijah answered

'And you didn't think to tell me? That's kind of a big deal considering I'm supposed to be marrying Kol!' I blurted out then clamped my hand over my mouth when I realised my mistake

'You're what?!' Jace explained

'Wait, how did you find that out? Kol asked me worriedly

I sighed 'I overheard you discussing it with my mother'

Jace looked furious as he put two and two together

'That woman is making you marry a monster?!' he asked

'Yes, pay attention Jace. Although, it's kind harsh to call them monsters when we're no better' I told him 'Now, invite them in so we can talk more privately because I'm still a princess and I don't want the entire village to know my business'

'Come in'

We stepped into Jace's house and he led us to his living room. We sat down awkwardly and I noticed that Kol sat as far away from me and Jace as possible. Probably so Jace didn't attack him.

'So will one of you please explain what Roxanne meant when she said you were no better than us?' Elijah asked

'Our mother is a werewolf, making us werewolves as well. And then Roxanne's father, the King, is a warlock as well so she's both. A hybrid I guess.' Jace explained

I noticed that when he called me a hybrid that Niklaus perked up a little. I made a mental note to ask him about it later

'That sounds tough' Rebekah stated

'Not really' Jace told her, 'I mean, I'm the Alpha and Roxy is my second so we have a lot of power within this town'

'How come you're Alpha when you're so young?' Rebekah asked

'Um, the old one died so I took over' Jace lied

I rolled my eyes 'Liar. You challenged the old Alpha, he lost, you killed him. That's why you took over' I amended

The Mikaelsons chuckled under their breaths as Jace glared at me

'C'mon Jace, you know its true. And anyway, it's not a bad thing. You did what you had to do to survive' I said

He shook his head in annoyance so I stood up

'Fine then. Be a chocho!' I exclaimed angrily 'Let's go, we still need to explore the town' I said to the Mikaelsons

They followed me out of Jace's house and down to the village where our most famous sights were located

I showed them the Almudena Cathedral where we went to worship every Sunday. It was known worldwide for its stain glass windows so I was very proud of it. We visited the El Rastro Market which was held everyday and each day we imported rare fruits from around the world. Today was from the UK so we got apples, pears, plums, and cherries. As we walked past the stalls, the owners tried to give us things but we refused due to lack of time. Our final destination was the Sabatini Gardens which were planted the day I was born in celebration of a royal child.My favourite flowers, Roses, Lillies, and Gerberas were planted to spell out my name in the center and then there were various flowers in the surrounding flower beds.

After we had finished exploring, I was exhausted and nearly fell asleep in the carriage on the ride back to the castle.Once we were back, Kol helped me out of the carriage and I kept a firm grip on his arm so I wouldn't fall asleep in the middle of the path.He led me up to my chambers where my handmaids took me from him. They led me into my bedroom and helped me undress and get into a night dress. It wasn't even dinner time yet but I fell asleep as soon as I hit the bed.

Thankfully, no-one came to wake me so I managed to sleep until 1am but then I couldn't go back to sleep again. So I decided to go for a moonlight walk in the castle grounds. I headed to the rope swing in the tree patch at the back of the grounds. It was my favourite place to go when I wanted to be alone. As I approached the swing, I noticed I wasn't alone. A man was sat on the swing. Not moving.

'Hello Roxanne' he said as soon as I was in hearing range.
