"Be my girlfriend"....he repeated his words since I didn't responded.

I avoided eyes contact by the time my face was red...I could feel it...I turned other way.

No Nandu...don't get into the trap...he is playing with you just like other girls.

I feel my heart... It was at it max rate.

"What...what are you talking?".... I spoke still facing other way.

"You heard me right".... His tone was serious he made me turn to look at him.

I got flustered at his sudden action all this time I looked at the ground.

But why I am nervous...he should be the one...where are my confidence... I couldn't let him see my this side...no.. Never.

"Yes...and my answer is no as always"... I managed to look into his eyes.

His eyes had a feeling I couldn't read or understand... But all I felt was it was desperate...and needy.

I blurted out my thought my shaking my head.

I didn't wasted any minute and turned to my heels to walk away.

"Nandini".... He called out.

This was the second time he called me by my name. I froze at my spot my legs refused to move further. I didn't turned around but still waited for him to say more.

"Please"..... The next word I heard it made me open my mouth wide...I got shocked.

Did he just said please to me...The Manik Malhotra said please to me...am I hearing right.

I turned around walked up to him and said clear and straight "still my answer is no".

Without waiting for his reply I exit the scene with a guilt in my heart. I don't know why.

But little did I know he was following me.

"Yah!! What do you want?" I yelled at him.

"You"... He spoke.

"What?".... My eyes wide.

"No..I..I mean you already know"... He sluttered and looked away avoiding eye contact.

"But I already told you my answer"... I spoke getting all mad.

"And please this is my work place so don't create a scene here" I said pointing at the cafe where I work.

"Okay...just accept my proposal then if you want peace here".... He said while smirking.

Ewww...I hate his smirk. I regret saying I was liking it back then.

I was so mad at him... He always make my blood boil but he is the also one who make my heart go insane... I am just so confuse and he is making it more difficult for me by following me everywhere.

"Listen I am going in now...and please don't follow me".... I said calmly.

But he didn't reacted that's when I realized he was looking at a girl who was waving at him from the other side of the road.

I looked at her she was same girl whom I saw in cafe and school today. She had smile plastered on her lips while she crossed the road and was approaching us.

Whereas monster his expression was not at all pleasing... He shocked and terrified. But why??

"Manik baby".... She hugged monster ignoring my presence.

I backed off a little trying to escape the scene since I didn't feel comfortable in witnessing this.

As soon as I turned away I felt someone holding my wrist....when I looked back I saw monster holding it...I felt something weird. It was strange and a foreign feeling for me.

I looked at him he didn't said a word but his eyes told me everything. It said completely to stay. His eyes were pleading a kind of requesting.

I stood there waiting for the girl to notice me...Monster still holding my hand.

"Ahh..Snehlata meet my girlfriend comm...Nandini".... I went shocked at his statement.

I eyed him..mostly glaring him. He looked back at me with a pitiful face.

"Oh...hello Nandini"... I can sense fakeness in her voice.

Literally, everything she did was fake her smile...her face..her voice ...everything.

"Hi".... I returned the smile.

"So you too are thing now?".... She asked mostly giving me dirty looks.

I was about to deny but monster spoke before I could.

"Yes...can't you see we are out for a date and you are ruining it".... He said trying to be sweet as possible but failed possibly.

I mentally laughed by looking at the girl's expression her smile faded for mini second and it was all visible that she was embarrassed which she tried to hide behind her fake smile.

"I guess I am playing the role of bone here between the two love birds".... She wanted to sound pleasing but I am detective Nandu and I am sure she said between her gritted teeth.

I dunno why but I was enjoying this.

Okay so all this time monster was holding my hand and I let him hold it.
I am surprised.

"Sadly, yes".... Monster said letting go my hand and grabbed my waist pulling me closer.

I gasped at sudden action of him but quickly replace it with a smile.

And by looking at girl...I was sure she wasn't liking it all. Although she wanted us to think she was all happy with us being couple.

"Gotta go...see you later".... Monster bid bye and we both turned to other away further from that fake girl.

I just faked a smile to her she returned gladly but just like mine hers was fake too.
