"Nandu"

"Navya"

"Nandu ... Why?"... Navya cried out.

"Navya I can feel you...we both are stuck with an unwanted partners"... I whined.

We both stayed on chair in cafeteria staring the food in front of us.

"I don't want this...I don't want to be with that jerk Cabir"... Navga faked a cry.

"I know.. I know..."... I imitated her and dig into my food.

We both kept eating our food further without uttering a word ahead. When the bell rang indicating end of recess.

"Which period we have now"... I asked Navya while heading out of cafeteria.

"Umm...I guess it's P.T".. She said thinking for a while.

Well...P.T was my favorite one..we got time to our self. Like not that really but at least a little bit.

We went to changing room together to change into P.T shorts and T-shirts.

"Navya hurry up"... I shouted while waiting for her as she was still changing while I already did.

"Yah...here I am...don't shout like maniac"

We made our way towards the field together .... By the time we reached everyone was already there including monster.

His eyes met mine...but I choose to ignore. I haven't spoken to him since the class started. Maybe that kiss is retaining me from talk. I get all shy when I recall that incident and presence of monster make it more awkward.

I simply walked up to the basket ball ground. Since you don't know...I love playing basket ball...I have been playing this since middle school and now I have really got some skills in this game. So yeah I love to play.

Talking about monster he usually play football. I would not like to say but yeah he is good.

Oh god....actually I am praising him..? 
Never.

Our game started...the ball was passed to me...I move hurriedly towards the basket still dribbling but a girl from other group stood in front of me.

"Oh god what should I do"

"Yeah"

I saw the space between her legs... Without her knowing I passed the ball between her legs...while she stood Tere dumbfounded just staring... While I scored a goal so easily.

"Yay"...I jumped in air hugging my mates. 

I could feel monster gaze digging holes in my back...I didn't got bothered by that.

The match ended after we won.... We were still shouting and jumping when I heard someone shouting my name.

As soon as I turned around I got hit by a ball. It hit hard on my nose. My hands immediately found my nose covering them. I looked up and saw monster smirking.

He kicked that ball to me.

I can't believe he did that. I thought he had stopped bullying me...No but he didn't. The sudden hit and all these thoughts watered my eyes.

The pain was terrible also physically and emotionally.

I looked at my hand they were covered by bloods...my bloods.

My nose was bleeding non stop...I saw students running towards me...holding me shouting my name.

But I couldn't care about anything. All I thought was monster. My legs got weakened and I collapsed on the ground. Hand never leaving my nose. Students beside me started panicking.

And the last thing I saw before closing my eyes was monster running towards me with a worried face.

Manik Pov #

"Go away from my friend"... Navya yelled at me.

I looked at her and then at commoner who was sleeping on the bed peacefully. Her nose was covered by bandage. She looked so fragile.

"What are you staring at her...you are the one who made her like this"...she hissed glaring at me.

I choose not to argue cause I know this time it was my fault and I was already filled with guilt.

I took a last glance at her before stepping out of the school clinic.

I made my way towards the washroom.

" what have you done Manik"... I grabbed my hair in frustration.

I never wanted to hurt her. But I did... I never thought the ball will hit her that hard.

"You idiot Manik"... I cursed to myself looking into the mirror.

I just wanted her attention cause she wasn't giving any. The whole day she didn't spoke to me...I was getting restless... And out of desperation I did that.

"I hate myself".

I kept cursing and hitting the wall that calm down my anger. What I did to her. I hurted her...I wounded her. All I give her is bruises.

Back to Nandini Pov #

I heard a fumble voices...someone's shouting.

"Now what do you want"

"Go away"

"Your friend already gave enough to her"

Okay now I know its Navya... She is shouting but to whom.

I opened my eyes slowly and saw her pushing Cabir out of the clinic.

"Oh Nandini you awake"... Cabir noticed.

I smiled at him trying to sit back. Navya cane rushing to me and said not to move or tilt my face down cause that can cause my nose to bleed again.

I just listened to her and laid back.

"How are feeling now Nandini?"...Cabir asked.

"I am"

Yah..go away now"...  Navya cut me off in between and pushed him out of the room.

I just watch her from far slightly smiling at her this bold behavior.

"So how's my Nandu feeling?"..  She asked coming closer to me.

"Much better than before.. But still got pain in nose"... I made a puppy face.

She smiled and kissed my forehead.."it will be fine".

"Anyways you stay here after..I will collect our bags from school then we can head back home together".... She said.

"School over?"... I asked in shocked.

"Already an hour ago"... She said while laughing and disappeared from the door.

Manik Pov #

I wanted to follow her to the house but Navya would never leave her side. Oh god she was acting like her bodyguard.

"Aish"

I saw her getting farther away from me with every step she took my heart sank. I regretted at my action. Although it was her who got hit...but why was it paining me so much.

My thought process got a pause when I got a phone call from Cabir.

"Yes"

"Now?"

"What do you wanna talk?"

"Okay .. Coming"

I run to our secret hideout... Cabir and Dhruv wanted to see me.

Maybe wanna talk about stuffs.. But what stuffs I dunno.

I passed by that same old music room and saw that old brown piano...covered with dust. Maybe she hasn't visited for a while. I stopped for a moment and recalled that scene where she played piano.

How good she looked.

How her fingers played with keys.

Stop..stop..stop...my brain yelled hard.

I turn around facing our hideout... I slowly opened the door and made myself in.

"Here you are" ... Cabir said.

I just hummed in response...they both were sitting on the wooden blocks.

"Yeah...so tell me"... I said sitting next to Dhruv taking cigarette away from his hand and filling my lungs with air.

"What's wrong with you?"

"With me?"... I exhale the smoke out slowly.

"Yes with you....what are you doing?"... Cabir raised his voice.

"Look I am already feeling guilty about that dont make it worse for me".... I sounded irritated.

"We are not talking about that"... Dhruv got up from his place facing me.

"Then"... They are confusing me.

"About your weirdness... You are always to yourself nowadays.. You speak something and mean something else....you have started talking to yourself and even when you talk all you mention about is Nandini" Cabir spoke in serious tone.

"What are you guys talking about"

"You know what we are talking about but you just acting stubborn"... Dhruv who was just observing spoke abruptly.

"No...I don't get what you guys talking about... Tell me clearly"... I got really annoyed.

"Okay...if you want so...you have fallen for Nandini... You are in love with her...whether you accept this or not...but it's true.. Just think about this..." Cabir said closing the gap.

"Realize it before it's too late Manik"....with that both exited the hideout leaving me alone...my mind fighting with my heart.

"I never thought this was love...it never came up to my brain. Although I kept asking to myself why I care for her why seeing her in pain make me feel pain too..why I get jealous when she hangs out with Aryaman.

Why????

Was it really love...

Without realizing my feet slowly made its way towards her house.
