Chapter 3 - Confronting the Past

THIRD POV

We see a big building, the building which belongs to Black Mask. Currently, Black Mask is sitting on the couch, talking to his men and secretary.

B. Mask: "Maybe my last request was too mired in subtlety."

He leans foward.

B. Mask: "I want this man dead. When I say 'dead', I mean seriously dead. Beaten, broken! HIS-HEAD-MOUNTED-ON-MY-WALL KIND OF DEAD!"

He raised his voice, seriously wanting Red Hood dead.

Secretary: "Understood. We'll be taking further precautions at every transaction - -"

Then Black Mask cuts her as he stands up.

B. Mask: "Screw that. Time he learns that this is a contact sport. We're going on offense. Rough up his business. Something big. Something loud. When he shows up to shut US down, Have a party waiting for him. And when I say 'party'... I actually mean a WHOLE LOT OF PEOPLE WHO ARE GONNA KILL HIM!"

Secretary: "I figured."

Then Black Mask walks up to her.

B. Mask: "Just being clear."

And then he leaves. Secretary then looks at one of people in the room as he sighs and everyone goes out of the room.

Y/N POV

It's a night time. I was going towards a club that a black guy that was on the mine meeting, owns, to get my pay cut from him.

Then I see a car going towards it, knowing exatcly what this is about.

I go into an ally. I take out my grappling gun and shoot it up climbing on the roof as I hear gun fire and people screaming and running out of a club and then I hear a last shot as I was leaning on the edge of the roof, looking at the back entrance of the club.

Y/N: "Cute." - I said as I narrowed my eyes.

[TIMESKIP]

I was hiding on the roof as 2 Black Mask's guys were dragging black guy to the old car and threw him at it.

I was waiting the great moment to jump in and that moment came as the guy with a green jacket take out a lighter and lit the molotov.

Green: "So, at the expense of your very wide butt... we're sending your boss a message."

He was going to throw a molotov but I take out my pistol and shot a molotov, as it shatered and flames spread over green jacket guy, who was screaming in agony as his friend watch him die.

Y/N: "Okay."

I said as I jump down on the roof of the car as two alive looked at me.

Y/N: "What's the message?"

I stood on the car narrowing my eyes. The guy in the Red jacket gasped and run off in a hurry.

???: "A simple one, acutally."

I looked at the side where I see group of four people. One of them being a girl who spoked up and she had twin katanas. One of the guys was big and buff, while another one had a bow staff and the last guy looked as though he was representing a cyclops with the whole one eye thing he had on his helmet.

Girl: "Want to guess what it might be?"

Y/N: "I have a few ideas." - I scoff as they charge on me.

I took out my pistols and started firing at the girl, who deflected the bullets with her katanas.

She jumped and before tried to stab me, I dodge and flip off the car, as I continued to dodge them and shoot at them. Then I went under the bow staff guy's staff, sliding on the ground. I fliped and side-stepped side to side, gaining distance from them.

Then I jump high up as I grab onto platform that was atached to a rundown apartment building.

Y/N: "Any of you hired guns even know who I am?"

I said as I shoot bullets a them.

BS Guy: "You are our target."

The guy with a bow staff exclaimed as they were blocking my bullets. Then I see the cyclops guy run over and looked up at me. I see a blue light emitting from his eye.

Y/N: "This can't be good."

Just then, he fired a laser beam at me. I jump off the platform, but the beam exploded behind me and it caused me to get blasted away. I droped my pistols.

Then I felt somebody caughting my feet and I was swung into a pillar, then I fall down on my hands and kness.

Y/N: "Ow."

I can hear footsteps as I looked up at the buff guy, who is standing infront of me.

Y/N: "So, you four have all this power and all you do with it is kill for money?"

Then the buff guy picks me up by my head.

Buff guy: "From what I hear, we've got that in common."

Y/N: "What a idiot!" - I thought.

He was ready to hit me in the face with other hand and knock me out, but I had other ideas.

Y/N: "You heared wrong."

I go into my jacket and then I threw 3 pocket explosives at him.

They explode as explosion send buff guy away, dropping me. The bow staff guy swings his staff at me which hits me a little as I went back. The girl swings her swords at me, but I take out my knife and block her strikes. I pushed away as bow staff attacked me again.

I start punching him. He kicked my knife out of my hand as I dodged and hit him in the face in the return. Then he got me with a stuff hitting me, which flipped me in the air as I drop on the ground as they surround me as I try to get up.

BS guy: "I thought you would put more up of a fight."

Y/N: "Oh, the fight hasn't started yet."

I stated as the bow staff guy lifted my chin with his staff.

Y/N: "I'm just stalling."

THIRD POV

Bow staff guy raised his staff, ready to knock Red Hood out, but then two batarangs were thrown into his arm as he gaps in pain.

Then Batman shows up by landing next to the Red Hood. He looks at the buff guy stoically who charged at Batman but Batman evaded his attack and punched him away.

Red Hood stands up, as now Batman and him were back to back.

Red Hood: "What the hell took you so long?"

Batman: "Shut up and fight." - He hissed.

Then four attacked as Red Hood and Batman coordinated fought off the four, chaging sides in same time, like as they fought once together already.

Red Hood is currently fight the girl as he punch her down. Then the girl moves fast as she swings her katrana, which sliced Red Hood's arm as he holds it and backs away as girl gets up and goes to attack him.

Red Hood runs as the girl chase him. Red Hood then jumps on the pillar as he pushes him off, giving him a chance to hit her as he swungs his foot at her, but she dodges.

Girl goes to slice him again, but Red Hood grabs her hand as he goes behind her and elbows her behind her back. Then he grabs her head with both of his hands as he headbutts her with his helmet, which resulted for the girl to grunt and fall unconscious and droping her katans on the ground.

He looks at direction where Batman is. Batman punched through the bow staff guy's staff, which breaks and Batman punches him in the head which made him sliding to the ground, being knocked out and unconscious aswell.

Red Hood walks up to the unconscious bow staff guy's head as he looks at him for second.

Red Hood: "I gotta say, I missed watching you work."

He said as he turns to Batman, who walk up to the Hood.

But then Red Hood sees that cyclop came out from the building he was sent to, as he readies to fire his laser beam at them

Red Hood: "Look out!"

Hood shouts as he pushes Batman to the side and he was then blasted into chest away as he slides on the ground knocked out.

Batman throws two batarangs at cyclops but he dodges them by Rolling on the ground as he shoots beams at Batman. Batman throws now mini balls grenades at cyclop which explodes but he isnt affected at all as he jumps on Batman and does couple of punched before kicking Batman away who falls on the ground.

He walks up to Batman to see if he's knocked out. Then he hears someone groaning and looks up too see that Red Hood was alive as walks up to his target.

Red Hood looks at him as he is kicked in the face on the ground as cyclop stands on his arms and legs with his own, like a animal.

Red Hood: "Awful close. You afraid you'll miss?"

Red Hood taunted him in the low voice.

Cyclop: "Black Mask just wants a body. We don't need your head."

He informed.

Batman: "Let him go."

They turn to Batman who was holding a taser gun, that was in the shape of a bat.

Batman: "And step away?"

Cyclop: "A taser?"

Cyclop scoffed as he got up and Hold onto Red Hood as he had his sharp metal claws aimed at Red Hood's neck.

Cyclop: "Nail me and you'll electrocute both of us."

Red Hood secretly took out his own taser from his sleeve in his right hand.

Red Hood: "Maybe that's what he has in mind."

Then he switfly placed the taser into cyclop's one eye where it zapped and he screamed at the pain. Screaming increased as the head exploded and the crimson blood splattered onto a wall behind.

Batman: "NO!"

He yelled as he now stared as the dead body falls on the ground. Red Hood walks up to it and watches it for few seconds before turning to face Batman.

Red Hood: "Just be happy I only killed one of them. They're all assassins."

Red Hood hissed out on Batman.

Batman: "And what are you?"

Batman fired back.

Red Hood: "I'm cleaning up Gotham. More than you ever did."

Red Hood yells back as he turns and starts to walk away as Batman clenches his hand into a fist.

Batman: "You're stealling territory from Black Mask and killing anyone who get's in you way."

Batman stated with a slight aggressive tone as Red Hood stoped and looked at Batman over his right shoulder.

Red Hood: "Black Mask is just a part of the plan."

Red Hood responded in more calmer tone.

Batman: "Plan? You're becoming a crime lord."

Batman asked.

Red Hood: "Yes!"

Red Hood said as he turned to Batman, having his hands infront of him in slight clenched way.

Red Hood: "You can't stop crime. That's what you never understood. I'm controlling it."

He said as he pointed his finger at Batman who put a firm Batman look on his face.

Red Hood: "You wanna rule them by fear. But what do you do with ones who aren't afraid? I'm doing what you won't, I'm TAKING THEM OUT!"

(by the way, this is one of my favourite lines that has ever anyone said (to Batman))

Red Hood lashed out on Batman in raised and aggressive tone.

Batman: "Tell me what happened to you? Let me help."

Batman said in a calm tone as he spread his arms to show he wants to help him. Red Hood widen his eyes as he is taken back by this. Then he narrowed his eyes fully.

Red Hood: "It's too late. You had your chance."

Red Hood says in a low voice, as if it's painful for him to say it. Then he takes out a smoke grenade and throws it as the smoke rises. Batman covers his mouth with a cape, thinking it might be a toxic gas.

Red Hood: "And I'm just getting started."

He said as smoke rises and covers his entire body. As smoke clears, Red Hood is gone and Batman walks until he stops and looks at one of the katans on the ground.

On it is a fresh blood, blood of the Red Hood, as Batman just stares at it.

Sorry for long wait, school got me busy, but now that my school is going on online school and there's just 1 week and 3 days until Winter Holidays start, so I think I'll Have more time to write Chapters, like Today, I wrote entire Chapter.
