11- Help me
The wind whistles past my ears.
Closing my eyes, I lose all my fears.
The waves crash into the rocks.
Out here there is no time on my clock.
I then gaze out to the ocean,
It glows with the sun kissed gleam.
The burning fire sets over the clouds.
The orange glow around, makes me proud.
As the night draws near.
I feel like where I need to be is here.
The soothing nature this afternoon brings
Just feels like such a beautiful thing.
I sit and wonder where life will go,
But right now all I want is for time to slow.
To enjoy this moment and feel free,
To clear my mind and find some glee.
It's days like these I truly treasure.
Amazing nights and comfortable leisure.
It may not seem like much.
But it's moments like these I want to clutch.
For once I feel like life is bliss.
So many hard days in which my happiness was missed.
I could get lost listening to the waves.
Listening to the birds and watching how the clouds behave.
I could close my eyes and fade into the night.
The tranquility I feel helps me win the fight.
As the waves keep crashing into the rocks,
I feel the happiness in my heart become unlocked.
The day is drawing to a close.
The peacefulness I feel right now I'll only know.
Right now my mind is finally clear.
It's time to go as the night draws near.
The feeling of getting lost.
It was something that never crossed her mind. Angel felt free.
Free to breathe.
Free to roam around.
Free to live as she wanted to always.
It was odd how everything just... Did not feel new to her.
A strange connection as if she has seen it all before too. Angel couldn't think back as to how she knows it but she knew she does.
Oddly strange.
But the place never felt strange.
Why? She didn't know
Roaming around in Seoul, she was like a bird, free and beautiful. Flying to wherever she wanted.
Catching many eyes as she expressed life itself in her. People around even felt the energy radiating from her. The way she made them smile with her smile it felt as if she's truly an angel spreading light.
No such moment went by when she felt sad or regretted coming here.
Seoul was ice kissed at the moment.
Thick blankets of pure white soft and feathery like snow stretched across it. With that the shops and stores decorated with glittering lights made it look as if fairies came to visit the white town. Yet the girl with glowing hazel orbs never felt bothered to the chilling cold. The warmth inside of her was thickening as happiness cruised though her body.
From the Seoul metropolitan station to the cherry blossoms infront of Seoul tower to Lotte duty tower. She was like a speck of pollen, flying carelessly through the chilly winds. It was expected to snow at the latter part of the day and the clouds had already taken their positions. Yet angel never seemed to care about the freezing weather. She was surely gonna live this day to the fullest as long as the chance stays.
With a growling stomach, she left the idea of wandering around the familiar yet strange place and ended up to the nearest restaurant.
"Ah that was so nice" melting back into the comfortable couch seat, she rested her back placing her head on the back of the seat as her taste buds danced in happiness to the sweet flavours of food still swarming in her mouth. A full belly is always a heaven.
Slowly her lids broke apart from eachother and the honey orbs darted towards the glass window of the restaurant gazing out towards the darkness with twinkling lights dancing over it and surely the stars seemed to leave the sky and kiss the earth tonight.
"It's still so unbelievable" she muttered under her warm breath as her warm gaze kept drinking the beautiful night sky with dark clouds and soft chunks of white fluffy snow flying carelessly through the void outside.
"Like a beautiful dream, a dream I feel so connected to"
Surely It was unbelievable for her to finally be where she dreamed of being.
Seoul.
Her past.
The city of Kim Taehyung.
But who he might be?
Is he someone who is a part of my past too?
He should be able to help me find my answers then, right?
The strong beacon of light was what bloomed in her heart.
Kim Taehyung.
This one name was swarming around in her mind.
"I should have preyed on for more details, bub must know more about this person"
Throwing her head back at the head rest Angel closed her eyes to see the blur outline of a figure. It was too vague and dreamy to actually see him.
The silhouette of Kim Taehyung.
A sigh left her mouth as her lips parted to make way for it.
"Maybe I should just- Ah fuck~" a hiss left her mouth breaking the chain of words that spilled outta her mouth as her hand all of sudden rose and got pressed against the side of her neck.
Evident distress crawled up her face as she crunched her face.
Oddly enough all of sudden a weird burning sensation started cruising through the flesh of her neck.
"Ah fuck"
Clasping her hand over the place she clutched onto it.
The feeling was intense it felt as if her flesh was cut through with a dagger.
As if something was crawling under her skin.
Like a scorpion tearing through the flesh and punching it's claws into her skin.
Bending down clenching her teeth, Angel tried to cope with the pain that was just becoming intense.
More and more than before.
"f-fuck help"
A whimper escaped her parted lips through which she tried to breathe while tears broke off her lashes to drop into nothingness.
What was happening?
All of sudden.
She was totally fine a minute ago then how come this pain rattle her senses out of nowhere.
But it did not end for long.
Just as suddenly it started, it stopped too.
Just like that as if it never happened.
Straightening her back she looked up and around the place breathing heavily.
"W-what just happened to me?" She mumbled to herself rubbing her neck while wiping the tears away with her other hand.
It was all too confusing for her. How can such an intense pain start and stop out of nowhere.
Now it felt as if it never happened and it was all in her head.
Shortly she walked out the glass doors and out of the restaurant to come across the freezing breeze. Multiple chills and shudders ran up her back turning the knobs of her spine up and down. Angel pulled the turtle neck up to her half face and hoodie over her head to wrap herself away from the cold.
"Taxi" she waved her hand towards the arriving cab that stopped and she piled into it hurriedly running from the freezing snow kissing her existence.
"Good evening" she chirped lively yet never received a warm response from the other.
"Fucking asshole..." The man was mumbling curses to himself groaning.
"Stupid pathetic shit" he muttered to himself.
It seemed as if he was not having a very good day. The distaste was so obvious on his face.
Angel peered to him with an occasional blink of the eye yet the man didn't seem to have any nice emotions on getting a jolly customer.
"Um excuse me miste-..."
"Where to miss?"
His tone was abrupt and one of being annoyed that he almost spat in anger making Angel jolt in her place.
"Uh um a hotel, for a stay"
"Which one?"
"Any that's fine and near enough"
"Sure" groaning he slammed his foot on race and drove forth.
Meanwhile Angel peered out the window towards the world that seemed to run backwards as the cab moved forth. She felt happy seeing the snow covered city that seemed to run backwards as if a snow monster is following them.
If oppa and Jimin were here too, they surely would have loved it.
Bub would want to build a snow man.
A sudden urge of seeing the Jeons rose in her heart that she couldn't help but feel sad for they weren't there at the moment.
Looking down at the zipper of her bag pack, she pulled it backwards and opened the bag finding a couple of things she brought. Sadly enough there was nothing much to distract herself.
Sighing she simply reached her hand forth into one of the pockets to retrieve the left money to pay for the cab and the hotel.
Sliding her hand inside the pocket, her fingers brushed against the... Void.
There was nothing.
The feeling brought a frown to crawl up her face as she knitted her brows together.
Peeking into the bag she started to push the couple of things here and there to find the small wallet yet there was nothing like that in there.
I do remember I placed it here-...
A sudden memory struck her consciousness and her blood ran cold.
Fuck!
She had placed the wallet on the table while she payed for the order and never picked it back up. She was too distracted by the pain in the side of her neck that she never gave much attention to the wallet.
I am such an idiot.
Biting her lower lip tugging at it, she looked up and towards the cabbie infront who was fuming at the moment still cursing at someone that she was oblivious to.
"Um excuse me mister?"
She called out to him making the arrogant man to dart his eyes towards the front mirror hanging infront of his face reflecting his customer on the back seat.
"I'm sorry for the troubles but I seem to leave my wallet at the restaurant, can you head back to the restaurant so I can-..."
"YOU WHAT?, YAH DON'T YOU HAVE ANY MONEY TO PAY?"
The tone was so full of annoyance and anger that Angel jolted and sank back into the seat.
"DO I LOOK LIKE A PUBLIC SERVICE BOY TO YOU, UGGGHHH" He slammed his hand over the steering wheel groaning making Angel jolt yet again.
"I-I have money, I just n-need my wallet back and I promise I'll p-..."
An abrupt break with the tyres screeching to the sudden force, she stopped speaking in the middle as the cab came to a harsh halt making her almost get thrown forth to the force.
"GET THE FUCK OUTTA MY CAR THIS INSTANT"
The cabbie yelled making the girl peer to him with shocked yet dumbstruck expression.
"Ah mister I have m-..."
"I SAID GET OUT"
"But-..."
"ARE YOU MOVING YOUR ASS OUT OR DO I HAVE TO KILL YOU AND THROW YOU IN THE RIVER"
He was looking absolute hysteric at the moment. Maybe it really wasn't a nice day for him.
With teary eyes Angel grabbed the door knob and unlocked the door.
Even if she never felt scared, being yelled at was something she never liked.
Who knows about the past but in her present she absolutely hated the idea of being yelled at.
Sliding out the cab she didn't even close the door when the cabbie just drove the car away in utter anger.
Sighing Angel just peered forth to the cab until it disappeared over the empty road. It was then that she looked around to find the place totally opposite to the one she came from.
Empty roads with shadows lurking on the pavement or alleyways.
Old worn out buildings with flickering lights.
Damn and cold paths.
It seemed like a ghost town.
What sort of place was it even?
Angel peered around with wide curious eyes.
The soul piercing gush of wind brought her to wear her bag pack on her chest and wrap her hands over it to clutch it to herself.
What do I do now?
I don't even know where I am?
Walking down the empty cold street for a bit she finally chose the option to ask for directions.
The worst mistake she made.
"Excuse me"
A soft mellow feminine voice brought the three males to turn around that were standing in the group of five guys.
Head to toe they reeked of cheap alcohol and cigarettes.
Angel gazed at their filthy structures arranging her words in her mind.
"Um I-I wanted to ask if you can guide me to the nearest restaurant from-..."
She looked to both sides of the road now doubting if she came from the left way or the right.
"Um, is there any-..."
"What is a lonely princess doing out at this hour in the cold hm?"
The man who turned to her first spoke, his lips stretching into a smile exposing the filthy teeth that lost color to excessive intoxication of cheap alcohol.
"I actually-... I lost my way"
"Mhm" he inched in towards her making the rest of the guys scatter around her slowly.
"I came for a visit but I happen to lose my way, I want a place to stay for a night but I don't know much about this area" she spoke innocently scratching her head as she peered around pointing to the place telling the animals disguised as humans forth.
Angel had seen humans as the most beautiful creation today yet she forgot that every thing has two sides.
Good and bad.
If there is a good person there can be a bad one too just like the rotten apples between a full basket.
"Can you help me find my way back?"
"Sure why not, who wouldn't want to help such a lady, right guys?"
The hums and chuckles around brought a weird sensation to her as if her sixth sense was telling it's not going to be what she expected but still she just shrugged the feeling off and smiled to them.
"Oh Thankyou, I appreciate your generosity"
"Mhm, don't worry, I was born generous, come tag along" he threw his arm over her shoulder and pulled her close walking forth as the guys along tailed them.
Angel shuddered to the disgusting filthy smell that erupted from the guy to her side. She tried to shrug his arm off of her shoulders but he wouldn't budge.
Their filthy talks and laughter brought the girl to feel at unease as she took small steps on the way until her consciousness woke up.
A dark alleyway was what waited for them to step in forth. Abruptly she stopped making the man halt along.
"Is this the path to the restaurant?"
She asked peering at the man with wide honey dipped orbs. Innocence was evident in that gaze of hers.
"Well yes, ofcourse"
"But I didn't come from this way, I don't think so it's the correct way"
"Sweetie it's a short cut to the restaurant, we'll get there sooner than you think"
Angel peered forth towards the dark and damp alleyway.
"Then why is it blocked at the end, there is a wall and no way out"
She pointed out looking back at the man with big eyes as if a curious kid.
The man looked back to his fellows and nodded to them communicating the message through the stares.
Turning back to her he reached forth instantly to the girl grabbing her the back of her hoodie and yanked forth.
"Enough of being a bitch, I said tag along so you are to come without your slutty ass arguing."
"L-let Ah... Let go of me" Angel tried to push his hands off of her yet it wasn't easy.
"This bitch" grabbing her by her hairs this time the man yanked her forth.
"Ah~" A whimper left her mouth as she felt the sudden harsh pain in her scalp yet soon it stopped hurting.
It was all too sudden and for Angel she didn't even understand how she did it.
But she did.
Bending her arm and pointing her elbow towards the guy she slammed it across his jaw making it rattle. The filthy street rat loosened her grip on her hairs and before he could understand what happened Angel had turned around to him throwing an upper cut with side slice hitting his nose hard to the point it started bleeding instantly.
"Argh fucker" the man stumbled backwards making the rest of his fellows watch him shocked.
Seeing the guy groan clutching his nose, Angel gasped and looked at him in worry and shocked on herself.
"I-... Are you okay?"
"You fucker, grab her guys, bitch will pay for this" the man spoke as he kept his gloved hand over his nose.
Hearing him the rest of the men started moving close to Angel with cautious eyes.
"Look I didn't mean to hurt you, fuck I don't even know how I did that"
Angel tried to explain to them waving her hands in the air.
"I swear I didn't know-..."
She halted in the way of speaking as she saw them leap forth to her, she instantly dropped down swinging her leg across making the men fall on their faces groaning. Their minds already intoxicated with alcohol wasn't either helping them.
Retracting her leg Angel sat back on the pavement breathing heavily watching with wide eyes to what she did. Peering at her hands and the men forth, she was shocked to see this ability of hers.
Right at that moment the piercing feeling in her neck had returned.
Hissing to the flesh ripping sensation Angel clasped her hand over her neck shutting her eyes tightly biting her lower lip trying to keep from crying in the sudden pain.
"Mmh~ it hurts" she whimpered clawing at her skin trying to stop the crawling feeling under it.
This eventually brought the guys around some time to regain. As the one with broken nose approached the whimpering girl. She kicked right in the side of her stomach making Angel fall sideways and groan now holding her stomach to the sudden blow.
"Ah~" she whimpered clutching onto her stomach while the man grabbed her shoulder yanking at it to straighten her body to face him. He instantly hovered over her and pulled a blade out of his pocket.
"You little fucker, you'll pay for this" he snarled to her spitting each word in her face.
The shaking hazel orbs slowly peered forth to the guy and what Angel saw did not help her even a bit.
His face was dripping with red velvety liquid.
There was something so familiar in his hand.
The shine and the sharpness brought Angel's eyes to dilate.
Flashes after flashes started striking her mind.
The same red liquid trickling down a steel chair and dripping on a dirty marble tiled floor.
There was a rising headache that rattled her senses.
The man on top was trying to snatch her bag pack away threatening her with the blade while the girl was too oblivious to his voice even.
A sudden gurgling scream was what bloomed in her head making a breathy exhale to escape her lips.
So much shinny metal.
She had seen it before too.
The pain in her head became so intense that Angel screamed clawing to herself pulling at her hair.
The guy who snatched her bag pack away and was now putting his hands on her with not so pure intentions slammed his palm against her mouth to keep her from making noise.
Yet for Angel it was not him she was fearing at the minute.
It were the sickening flashes of broken memory striking her mind like a hammer.
It were the horrifying screams and gurgles of pain that she heard.
"Shutup you fucker" yanking at her hoodie the man tried to pull it off of her with his intoxicated mind pushing him to obey his sinful soul.
Instantly the girl rose her lower half upwards feeling the restriction and twisted herself around, she grabbed the sharp pocket knife from his hand and slammed it right down into the eye of the same man whom she was now restraining against the dirty ground.
A breathless gasp left her mouth as her lips wobbled with tears trickling down her blood shot eyes.
I ...
What did I do?
The man underneath was screaming clawing at his face trying to get away from the pain that came from his popped eye.
Watching this the half passed out men around him started to crawl away from him fearing the sickening scene forth to become their fate too.
Angel scooted away from the person breathing heavily.
Watching him squirm like a fish out of water she got her senses clouded with the flashes of memory that kept hammering on her consciousness stronger than before.
With wobbly legs she stood up and stumbling on her way she ran out of there leaving the group of street rats and her bag pack.
She was running blindly.
Blind to the outside world but to the inside...
The flashbacks were too strong to let her see or think anything else.
Bloody scenes, sharp blades, screams, bloody hands with those metallic sharp death painted in red.
A sudden cough squeezed out from her mouth and Angel felt a puking sensation.
Bringing her shaking palms away from her mouth she looked at them to see the same red liquid spat out onto it.
Another stronger puking feeling pushed her to bend and puke more blood out onto her hands. Her insides were aching badly.
Side effects.
The medication Jeons had been feeding the girl was stopped abruptly in the middle as she started to doubt them.
A forced memory loss was taking its toll as the flicks of past struck her consciousness now.
Gazing with her blurry vision at the red bloody shaking hands of hers, Angel couldn't think straight.
It was too intense
The pain in her head with the burn in her throat and to top it off the churning sensation in her neck as if something is crawling under the skin she was overwhelmed.
Absolutely overwhelmed.
Her steps wobbled as she just walked forth to wherever they took her.
Senses too clouded to hear or understand even a thing related to outside.
Forehead glistening with cold sweat beads, face as pale as that of a corpse.
Eyes red and teary, mouth holding bloody taste with the red liquid crawling out of her lips down to the turtle neck resting on her chin.
Hands covered in blood while her figure shook violently.
It was then when a light flashed onto her face making Angel reach her hands forth to block it from making her blind.
A sudden screech of tyres boomed in her ears as if from afar and all angel heard after that was a masculine voice muffled to her broken senses.
"FuCkEr ArE yOu BlInD oR wHaT?"
The voice seemed to inch closer with every word spoken yet Angel never had even a bit of strength left to understand what he said.
Her legs gave out making her stumble forth and press into a warm surface as she clutched onto whatever make first in her grasp to avoid falling.
"H-help me P-please"
