Previously on "What if:Goku Black was Goten"

Goku Black happy expression went serious as he looks from Trunks to Goku, who looks up at him seriously.

Black: "You haven't figured it out?"

Goku: "Figured what out?"

Black: ". . . . . . . . . . . .Hehehehehehehehe hahaha HaHaHaHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Oooohh~ how could I forget that you are nothing, but an idiot with the mind of the perfect warrior, I thought you figured it out by now"

Trunks: "What are you trying to imply here Black!?"

Black: "Quite the simple question Trunks, but I'll counter attack with my own question" (lands on the edge of a roof) "who do you think I am?"

Trunks: "What?"

Goku: "Hmm?"

Black: "I am not Goku, if not I despise the mere fact that I look like Goku, I hate this fool with all of my heart" (looks at Goku directly) "I have now surpassed you in power and have finally gotten out of your shadow by unlocking this power, surely you must of gotten the pieces Goku" (smirks) "I mean if I'm not you, then who else would look exactly like you?"

Goku thoughts: "Gotten the piece? would that mean that he is—"

Images of the past began to appear on him, he remembers his shadow hovering over Goku Black?, the vision he had of Goten firing a kamehameha in ssj, the other vision he had of his youngest son in ssj, what he said before starting his fight with Trunks and the words Black mumbled when they first meet. Combining all that in his mind, Goku sees one person on the edge of that roof, it was his youngest son, his second son, and the son he sees himself in. It was Goten, smiling at him happily, but then it shows Goku Black in Super Saiyan Rose. Black —or I should say— Goten was smirking down at him, Goku's eyes widen when finally knowing who this is. Goten was smirking sinisterly at Goku, his aura flowing around him and a shadow of someone else was over him.

Goten Black

Goten: "You see it now, don't you?"

Goku: "N-No . . it-it just can't be!!"

Goten: (chuckles) "Oh, the truth is in front of you, isn't it marvelous" (laughs) "you know it is. . . . . . . . .dad"

Trunks: "Dad!?"

Goku: "No! I just won't accept this!! that can't be you! right?" (looks up) "Goten?"

Goku and Trunks look up in shock at the reveal of this Saiyan's identity. It was non other than the second son of Goku, he's youngest boy.

Goten Black: "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA how does it feel father huh!? how does it feel? knowing that your living legacy has become your strongest enemy"

Goku: "No! this can't be! it doesn't make any sense, how can it be you Goten!"

Goten Black: "Hehehehe it is quite the simple answer father, but knowing that small head of yours only knows about fighting, I don't see you figuring it out"

Goku: "Tell me Goten!"

Goku looks seriously at Goten Black, he just couldn't believe this. His own son was turned against him, and worst of all he turned into a monster who only seeks battle and death. Trunks on the other hand is confused and in thought, thinking of how this could have happened.

Trunks thoughts: "Goku's right, this can't be real Goten because he was never really born in this timeline and to make this even more off, the one I've been fighting now feels nothing like the Goten I meet in Goku's time"

Goku: "Why turn into this son? what forces you to become this monster?"

Goten Black: "Sorry, but that information can only be given to you if you beat me right now, and let's face it" (cracks his neck) "you don't stand a chance against me right now"

Goku: "Tsk! Alright then! if that's!it takes to know the truth, I'll do it"

Goten Black: (smiles evilly) "Excellent"

Goku: (looks at Trunks) "Join when you can Trunks, I'll go in first!" (powers up and charges at Black)

Trunks: "Wait Go— (sees him flying at Goten Black) —too late I guess"

Trunks thoughts: Back to what I was thinking, maybe this Goten isn't from here nor is he from Goku's time, so maybe—

Goku in his super saiyan blue form charges at Goten Black who powers up too before barging at Goku. He blocks his fathers punch and the attacks with his own which Goku stops, so they begin to through a barrage of punches and combos while souring up to the sky. They collided fist before pushing each other away from the other as they fly up to the sky and continue clashing below the tree clouds. Shockwaves can be seen from their clash, appearing all over the place while Trunks watches on, still continuing his thought process.

Trunks thoughts: Maybe he's from an alternate timeline, but that would mean the time machine, yet that would also mean someone or maybe even himself had to have access to Time Machine, but Goten didn't even have a time machine when he arrived h—

"BOOM!"

An explosion brings Trunks attention towards a nearby store, bursting out of the wall was Goku. He dug his feet to the ground to stop himself and quickly get in a stance. Ahead of him, coming out of the dust cloud was Goten Black.

Goten Black: "You can't escape me!"

Goku: "I'm not trying too!"

Goku blocks Goten Black's punch and then point blank blast Black in the face, which does nothing as out the smoke comes out Black's hand. Grabbing Goku's face, he grips it tightly before slamming Goku to the ground and then throwing him away with nothing but force. The Saiyan from earth crashed into a wall and Goten Black then fires five ki blast at where Goku is.

Trunks thoughts: "But it still doesn't add up since he doesn't have a Time Machine, but maybe that time ring mister Whis and Lord Beerus mentioned could be the key of his time traveling abilities, we'll have to on cover more this later"

Back to the fight, things seem quiet as Goten black stares directly at where he blasted his father, only to have his eyes widen when he sees Goku about to fire a kamehameha.

Goku: "Kamehame HA!!"

He fires a huge blue beam at Goten Black? who reacts quickly by he jumping upwards to the sky, dodging the kamehameha on time as hits a destroyed building and destroys it.

Goten Black: "Kamehame—! HA!!"

Goku looks up and sees Goten Black firing his own pink kamehameha at Goku, who uses instant transmission to teleport out of there and appear above Goten Black. Landing sledgehammering hit that sends Black down to ground where he plants his feet and boost himself up back towards Goku, uppercutting him, then elbowing his stomach as Goku spit out some saliva from that hit, and Black finish it off with downwards kick to the face. This pushes Goku back, and makes him groan in pain as Black appears his ki blade, but changes it's shape and makes it longer. He charges forward, using one of his techniques, Divine Lasso.

Goten Black: "Dance my blade!"

Goten Black begins to rapidly dance slash at Goku, stabbing him with multiple needles that pierce his flesh, which makes Goku screams in pain. After piercing him with about ten of the needles his spins away from Goku and strikes a pose, finishing the dance as the needles exploded

While the smoke remains, Goku pops out from below it and start falling towards the ground below, but was caught by Goten Black. Goten stare at Goku with a sinister grin of his face.

Goten Black: "No more mercy for you! father, today you die! for good!!"

Goku thoughts: "What? D-Da*m"

Goten Black shorten his blade and aimed to slash Goku's head off, but was stopped by Trunks, who intervene with his sword in hand, blocksing Goten Black's ki blade. Trunks than aims his palm at Goten Black's face and fires a point Black energy burst ki blast at him, but Black reacted fast and disappeared before the attack could hit him.

Trunks: (catches Goku) "Goku are you okay?"

Goku: "Well heheh I'm losing a lot of blood right now, but I say I'm fine"

Trunks: "Do you have a back up Senzu?"

Goku: "Yeah just need to—"

Goten Black: "Not so fast!!"

Goku/Trunks: "Huh?"

The two warriors look on ahead and see Goten Black rocketing towards them with his blade ready as he went to slash Trunks, which would not be able to block the attack on time.

Goku: "Trunks look out!" (pushes Trunks out the way)

Goten Black: "Predictable!"

While Goku did save Trunks from Black's swift attack, he did not a count for his weakened state.

He was able to stop the blade from getting him and while he did dodge a bit of Black's ki blade and a kick, with just a sweep of one of Goku's legs, Goten Black throws Goku away. Trunks return to the fight and charges forward with his sword, but Black intercepts his sword and blocks his attack before pushing him away.

Trunks: "Why attack huh!? what did I and this world ever do to you!!"

Goten Black: "Oh Trunks, the actions you brought against me are beyond comprehension, but you Trunks of this time didn't do nothing to me in your viewpoint, but my master sees evil in your actions Trunks, that gives me enough reason to ruin your world"

Trunks: "What!? Master!? Who are you talking about Goten!? What happened to you!?"

Goten Black: "You haven't beaten me so no answer!"

Trunks thoughts: Can't hold back here, gotta hit him with everything I've got"

Trunks: (starts to power up) "HAAAAAA!!!!!"

Leading out a mighty battle cry Trunks, goes from super saiyan 1 to super saiyan 3, his hair got longer and his ki began to expand in a golden glow that had small sparks appearing on him.

Goten Black: "A foolish choice Trunks, you've used up to much ki in that form" (scoff) "pathetic, did you forget the primal weakness of this form" (disappears his ki blade and his pink aura appears around him) "super saiyan 3 is a powerful form, but takes too much power out the being, you'll be a husk in seconds"

Trunks: "It'll be enough!"

Trunks dashed towards Goten Black going for a upward slash which Goten Black dodges, but Trunks predicted this and round house kicked Goten in the face. After dealing a blow, Trunks punches and slashes Goten Black until he fires an energy wave ki blast at Black, sending him flying down to the ground and crashing against the ground, creating a crater. Trunks doesn't stop his assault and appears in front Black, who was pushing himself up, as Trunks charges up another ki blast.

Trunks: "Masenko!!!"

Firing a Masenko at Goten Black, whose eyes widen, as the huge blast devoured him and this creates a huge explosion that is later replaced with a smoke cloud. Trunks lands a few feet away from the smoke cloud, his serious expression changes when he powers down to base form and lands on one knee.

Trunks: "I-I gave it . . . all I had there"

But yo his surprise, he sees a shadowy figure begin to walk out of the smoke cloud, and it was Goten Black.

Goten: "If that was your best" (wipes the blood away) "I am very much not impressed with you if it was Trunks"

Trunks: "Grrr at least it left a few scratches on you"

Goten: "And that is all you'll get Trunks, scratches, while I on the other hand"

Goten Black quickly dashes towards Trunks at incredible speeds that Trunks could not react too. Black lands a strong gut punch on Trunks, which makes the future guy spit out some blood and get send flying back.

Goten Black: "Get results"

Extends his hand forward, he makes a ki ball grow in size and then he fires it at where Trunks is.

Goten Black: "Very well results"

Goku: "That's enough Goten!"

"BOOM!"

Goten Black: "Hmm?"

While an explosion happened in the background, Black turns to his left and sees an injured Goku, still in super saiyan's blue, holding himself up while breathing heavily, Goten Black finds this amusing, he chuckles a bit.

Goten Black: "Hahaha this is a sight I've always loved seeing, weak and pathetically clinging to a live that only brings pain and suffering"

Goku: "Please son, you have no relation to this time, so leave them alone"

Goten Black: "Huh? is that what you think? I mean how would you know? Huh!? you were barely there!" (eyes when realizing what he said, shaking his head) "even so, I may not have nothing against these mortals, but my master does"

Goku: "Your master? who are you talking about Goten?"

Goten Black: "Ooooh don't worry about him father, I mean don't worry about him yet"

Goku: "What?"

Goten Black: "Like I said, don't worry him yet pops" (goes back to base form) "you should worry about yourself more" (stretched a little) "aaah~ you know, Super Saiyan Rose is fun, but I wonder if base form me can still kick your ass when your in Blue"

Without even giving him a chance, Goten Black charges at Goku and punches him square in the face, sending him flying back into a destroyed building's wall before Goten Black strikes him again.

Landing a strong kick on his chest before jumping back and firing a barrage of ki blast at Goku, who gets hit by all of them, which then creates a smokescreen.

Goten Black: "Get a taste of my wrath!"

After the smoke clears, Goku is seen in his base form and falling to his knees as he hears footsteps approaching him, he looks up to see a sinister looking smile coming from Goten Black. Staring down at his father like a psychopath quickly wanting to end they're prey right then and there.

Goten Black: "Once again I've bested you and like before" (appears a dark and purple ki blade) "you will die"

Goku: (struggles to get up but was able to glance) "Please tell me Goten, what did I do to make you so sad and angry please! tell me!"

Goten Black: "Hmmmmm you know what" (disappears his ki sword) "before I end you, let me indulge in what happened to me, how I destroyed my timeline"

Goku thoughts: (looks up in shock at what he said) "Destroyed his timeline line? Ho-How did he—"

Vegeta: "Big Bang!!"

Before Goten Black could even begin his story, he quickly turned around and looked up to see Vegeta charging up a Big Bang attack.

Vegeta: "Attack!!"

Firing the blast towards Goten Black who quickly goes on the defensive and takes the attack head on. With him distracted, Trunks in Super Saiyan 1 flies in from behind and picks up Goku. Quickly taking him away from the explosion of the blast that the Big Bang attack created when colliding with Black, the trio reunite and quickly start to fly back towards the Time Machine.

Goku: "Wait! Stop! He was about to give me the
answer I needed!"

Trunks: "I'm sorry Goku, but you'll have to get them another time, it's time for us to retreat"

Vegeta: "Quit talking! yo the Time Machine! now!"

Goku: "But what about Mai and the others?"

Vegeta: "They'll be fine, Black doesn't know they are there so they'll survive, let us make sure we are prepared for when we return"

Trunks: (looks down) ". . . . . . . .okay"

Back with Goten Black the smoke begins to clear out as the next that's heard is laughter from Goten Black.

Goten Black:Hahaha HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

After a bit, he stops and dust himself off, and quickly takes flight to go after his three victims.

Goten Black: "Running away now? while I was actually starting to just enjoy our fight! disappointing! truly it is!!

Then he spots a glowing spherical object beginning to flout, so Goten Black slowly flies towards where it is and while he could destroy them right there, he doesn't do it. All he does is stare at it, and he wasn't the only one staring, Goku from the time machine looks up at Goten Black with a worried expression. Wondering what happened to this version of his son, but does Goten Black show the same expression?

Nah

Just stares evilly at the trio while they teleport out of the future and go into the past, leaving Goten Black alone with his new found power.
