RECAP

"You said you were going to give me a breakdown or something along those lines" I quickly remind him trying to steer this conversationn in a different direction.

"Oh yeah, where do I begin..."

"I think I should start with the floors and the supernaturals they hold, that okay?"

"Sure why not" I shrug because I could manage any info I can get.

"Okay, you've probably climbed the stairs so you should already know there are six floors" he pauses and lifts a brow in my direction. I nod and he continues.

"Okay so the werewolves and vampires are like the elite here and if you were any other supernatural, I would advise you to stay away from them, they can get quite...intense" I could tell he was just trying to put it nicely but I let it slide.

"You saw the names on the walls of each side right?" he again looks at me and I hurriedly gulp the water I had already downed.

"Yeah, artemis and arethena? I just assumed those are the ancestors like one lady in a weird office said." I say facing him and trying not to look at his juicy, juicy lips.

"Yeah they are and that should be Mrs Walsh, she can get quite messy" he snickers "Okay where was I?"

"Ancestors, aren't we going to be late for weaponry?"

"Oh, no, Ares and Athena switch between those two classes daily and it's Ares's day for weaponry but Aphrodite gave birth a while ago and refuses to do everything herself, so yeah, he's pretty much a baby sitter at the moment" he smiles and I laugh

"I can imagine the sight, would be so worth getting killed just to see it" I snicker and he joins in.

"Okay okay, the second floor belongs to all witches and wiccans which have four divisions and five ancestors. The medicine witches controlled by Apollo, time alterers controlled by Janus, potion makers contolled by Hypnos and lastly the traveller controlled by hermes, male messenger of the gods and I'm sure you've met Iris" he adds giving me that questioning look again.

"Tall brunette with the best cheekbones, a killer's face and an angel's voice and smile, yes"

"You forgot totally smashable bod-" he didn't get to finish his statement because I smacked him upside the head

"She's old enough to birth two of you, if not more" I tell him and laugh when he scrunches his brows and looks like he wants to kill me for reminding him.

"I'd get you back for this. Anyways, that brings us to the third floor. That holds the mermaids, mermen and sirens. The mers as we call them, are controlled by Poseidon and can transform to their true form in any kind of water but it is totally their choice unlike the sirens that need salt water and have no control over their transformations," he takes a breath. Yes, i would be tired if I had to explain all of these to someone too.

"The sirens have three colonies though, the celestial which is controlled by Zeus and I think have these glowy things on their sides, you'd probably see it because their change is painless compared to others so they change a lot. In their water, they're more human than animal, just in their thinking though because they appear like mermaids. Emm... the second is the generative run by Poseidon as well, their change is more painful and they come in twos, most times females" he pauses

"Okay, make that all the time. Oh and when they transform, they're a balance of human and animal, both in thought and physical appearance, very similar to the mermaids as well exempting their water and the song they possess of course," he waits for me to absorb that? probably.

"The last is the purifactory sirens run by Hades, they are the predators of the water and are very fierce once in their water so they try to avoid changing except very necessary, their transformation is the most painful of the three but according to what I've heard the pain becomes something they're are used to if they do it enough times. One of them, Sapphire I think, yeah, she doesn't feel the pain anymore according to what I've heard and is Hades's favourite."

He must have seen my expression change to one of fear "Don't worry; I hear she is the nicest too. Just do not get on her bad side. Like I said she's a purifactory siren, their job is most times revenge, they're more animal than human once the transform, they only get to keep their human face." He adds sounding like his head is somewhere else, like he has seen one before and it wasn't funny.

"Oh my God! I feel my head is going to explode"

"You could just wait for maybe two, three years and you would know all of these then too" he snickers. I slap him upside the head again.

"Ouch! I was just saying"

"Of course" I roll my eyes "How do you know all of these anyways"

"You can't be Athena's assistant and not know almost everything about everything. She makes it her business to know everything, says it gets her ready for anything"

"Sounds like a load of work, never knew you were her assistant though"

"Yeah, it's not really official but I pretty much do everything she doesn't feel like doing so yeah"

"Haha I noticed when she called you, you reacted like it's a usual thing"

"Well it is. Now fourth floor holds the nymphs controlled by Dementer. Just like the witches, wiccans and tinkers, they are pretty much mortal. The nymphs have five tribes based on habitats. There's the Oceanids, Nereids, Naiads, Oreads and the Dryads and Hamdryads" he pauses again

"You got all of that?" I nod and he gets up and gives me a hand to take.

"You would probably want to go to your hostel, I doubt Ares would show up today because Athena mentioned something about Eros, their baby being sick"

"Wait what about the last two floors" I ask remembering he said six floors and I remember climbing them, my aching feet is hard to forget.

"Oh yeah, those were occupied by the centaurs, fairies, tinkers and ghosts controlled by Dionysus, Tyche, Hephaestus and Hecate respectively."

"Were? Where are they now?"

"You ask a lot of questions" he breaths and I give him the stink eye and he chuckles.

"One, never do that again, it ruins your pretty face even though you can never be completely ugly though"

"Oh I know but it's nice to be reminded by one of my fans" I smirk, using my right hand as a fan.

He laughs a deep throaty laugh "Oh okay, whatever you tell yourself. Anyways, they were in danger of extinction. I wish I could say more but due to an oath I took with Athena, I can't"

"Oath?! This assistant thing can't be that serious right?"

"It isn't but Athena has trust issues and she wasn't supposed to tell me anything anyways, was a gods and goddesses only secret but she trusts me so..."

"I wouldn't call making me sign my life for a secret trust" He laughs that throaty laugh I was starting to like.

"It's almost the same thing as saying you would guard the secret with your life, the oath is just..."

"To be safe? Yeah, I get it. Still doesn't mean I'd ever do it though"
He chuckles "I would have said that too"

"So" I drawl "how come you're here, I mean, how they got you here and shit"

His expression changes and I know I must have struck a nerve "Story for another day Λάγνος"

I didn't realize we had gotten to the 6th floor till he stops me and does something I didn't expect. I feel his lips on me, it feels so light that I would have thought I imagined it but for the fact that he lingers. He pecked me on my cheeks! He returns to his full height and I gain my senses back.

"See you around Λάγνος" he calls walking down the hallway on the right side of this stairway that seems to further divide ARETHENA hostel into male and female dorms.

"See..." He was already out of sight, "...ya"

I walk down the hallway on the left of the stairway heading to my dorm room. I hear voices when I get to the door.

Time to meet the roommates.
