"hey y/n" you looked around finding the source of voice. And you saw your friend Lina walking towards you.

"Wow lina what are you doing here in mall" you looked at your friend who is meeting you after eternities.

"I recently came to here, Korea. So I can enjoy my time with family" she said smiling sweetly towards you.

"Then, come to my house some day ?" You asked her hoping to hear a yes well, god heard your prayer.

"Yes I will, one day for sure!" You simply answered an okay. After some girly chit chat and exchanging numbers two best friends walked away on their own path again.

"I'm home eomma" she shouted so her mom would know that she is home.

"I'm in kitchen darling" her mom shouted back from kitchen. She entered in kitchen back hugging her mom. Her mom chuckled.

"What happened sweety" her mom asked in sweet tone.

"Nothing just tired" she answered closing her eyes inhaling in her mom's scent.

"Hmm And how would you not be so tired all day you do is work work and work"

She whined at her mom's complaining.

"Eomma then how i will take care of you how we will eat who will pay bills and many more I have to do, that's why" she pouted hugging her tightly.

Her mom again chuckled at her behaviour.

"Ok sweetie ok, now go and set the dining table. Dinner is almost ready" she said ordering her in mom tone. She answered with a small smile and small okay.

Her mom is so precious to her she can't afford to loose her. After her father's death her mom was so broken at that time y/n was so little so she doesn't remember her father. After her father's death her mom only had y/n. Y/n was her only reason she was alive till now.

She was arranging plates for her and her mother but she heard a loud thud from kitchen. She asked her mom what happened but didn't get any reply. She unknowingly started to get panic. She entered in kitchen and the view shocked her from core. Eyes widened.

"EOMMA" she screamed. She sits besides her laying mom on the ground. She placed her head on her lap and started to crying hard.

"Eomma eomma what happened, eomma wake up eomma" she gently patted her cheek. She sobbed so hard looking her mom's unconscious body lying there like lifeless.

She came to her sense and hurriedly started to find her phone to call ambulance.

She picked her phone from table and dialled ambulance's number.

"H-Hello i-is there any ambulance if we can g-get ?"
(I don't know what to do in this situation so I'm writing anything 😭)

"Yes, ma'am we have. Can you please tell what happened to patient" the lady on other line asked politely.

"M-My mom fainted. P-Please i-i need help please get here quickly" she literally begged.

"Just wait for 5 min ma'am. We will be there in any minute" the call ended. And you quickly again land your mom's head on your lap.

"E-Eomma w-what happened to you, why are you conscious like this e-eomma. Eomma I'm all alone eomma wake up na wake up eomma" she cried so hard clutching her mom's head in her embrace. Till now she is a mess. Mind is not working, what to do or not. Only one word 'wake up eomma'. Is roaming in her head

After some time still crying she heard ambulance's siren ringing loudly. She hurriedly goes to her front door opened and Saw some nurses coming out from ambulance. She show them their way in inside where her mom is lying. They take her mom in ambulance and y/n sat there holding her mom's hand the whole time while crying badly and hiccuping.

Currently the doctors was treating her mom. The doctor came out from the room. She abruptly stood up and goes to doctor.

"Doctor what happened to eomma. Why she fainted?" Many questions was roaming in her head.

The doctor has heavy look on his face. He heaved a sigh. And looked at her with sad eyes.

"Ms. Lee, your mom have cancer and the worst news is she only have only 4 to 7 month. It's last stage and it's a lung cancer" he looked down.
(I'm not medical student so bear my worst knowledge 👍)

After hearing this she broked down. For some moments she forgets everything even how to breaths she repeatedly chanting 'no no no this can't happened' 'no it's not true' and many more.

She again started to cry. Her heart is shattering into million of piece. She knows there is no cure about lung cancer. She cried on that whole night sitting beside her mom holding her hand to her dear life afraid, thinking what if she will suddenly go away from her. She only have her she doesn't have any close friends not even relatives. She fell asleep while crying.

After the night passed and morning came. She asked doctors if she can bring her mom to home. And they said she can but don't forget to give medicine or situation can be get worst. She just nodded and brings her mom to home.

She thought about finding cure by herself. She Continuously started to finding any cure she goes from here to there, there to here but no. She failed to find any cure. She cried every night praying for finding any cure and get her mom better. One day she was working in kitchen and her mom was in living room watching tv cause her daughter doesn't want her mom to work.

The door bell rang. Y/n goes to open the door. When she opened door she met with a cheerful Lina.

"Hey y/n" she hugged y/n tightly like there is no Tomorrow Swinging side by side. She broked hug still hands in hands.

"How are you" she asked with a beautiful smile on her lips.

"I'm fine Lina" you said with a simple smile that doesn't even look like you're smiling.

"And how is aunty" she asked sadness in her voice. You gulped down a lump and looked down.

"As I said, she not fine lina she hardly eats anything she sleeps a bit more in these days cause of tiredness and she have difficulty with breathing and many more but thanks to medicines she is fine." You looked up with a weak smile. She looked at you with so much sadness.

"Do not worry y/n now, I'm here. Now I'll live here in Korea forever I'm with you ok don't worry" she said with a small smile with sad eyes trying to assure you. You just nodded.

"Let's go in or you planned to talk here at the door" she said to cheer you up. And you cheered up a little. You chuckled lightly. With a 'let's go.'

"eomma look who come" she said holding lina's wrist in her hand.

"Oh my god lina it's really you. So much time passed how are you my daughter" she asked like she is her mother.

"I'm ok aunty. How are you" she asked her. Her face fell down and a sad smile replaced on her face. Lina regretted asking this question.

"I'm good daughter how's everything going" she still answered in postive.

Like this, with chatting time passed for three of them.

Her mother feels her eyes got so heavy so she said bye to lina before going to sleep in her room.

Now two of the friends is alone chatting with each other suddenly lina remembered a rumour she heard some days ago.

"Hey y/n, you know what i heard. If you will hear Sure you gonna faint cause of how fake this rumour is like" she said confusing you like what is that is that fake.

"Ok tell me what you heard" you said placing your hand under your chin.

"You know recently i heard. That there in Seoul there is a forest. People call that forest 'dark forest' and they said in that forest some weird creatures live there and they're so powerful. And they said they fullfill our wish but for that we have to loose something. There is Proverb that said "if you want to gain something so you have to loose something" and no one returned from that forest. Even government sealed that area and putted security there. Not on exact location but in some distance so security will not get in dangerous" she said story, like she is saying some serious murder story and there she is a story teller.

You thought is so fake you didn't believe in things like that cause how in this normal world there is some creatures live ? Like how ? There is nothing true total rubbish nothing else that's what you thought.

"Lina, don't believe in those things it's just for attention. People just making story nothing else" you said with a disbelief look.

"Yes I know right, but then why they put security there If there is nothing" she questioned. Titling her head on other side a bit and looking up with one hand placed on her chin literally looking like this '🤔' more likely she is questioning to herself.

You shake your head in disbelief.

"Cause, maybe there is some wild animals and they failed to get them and that's why people who goes there never returned and that's why there is security. Aish don't go deep in some useless rumour lina." You said while standing up from your sitting position and goes to kitchen making some drinks to fresh your mind.

"Hmm you have point tho" she shrugged her shoulder and followed you in kitchen trailing behind you like a lost puppy.

That's how your both's time passed goofing around and making jokes here and there and laughing. You laughed after so much time. Rather than crying in corner.
