Chapter 1:Where it all started

Looking at his picture on my desk brung back all the feelings, sensations and desires from the day before. I could feel it through my bones, the way he made me yell his name. The way he bit my ear and tugged on my hair...he was the definition of heaven. "Ms.Davis!"

I jumped out of my daydream and looked up, "Oh Mr.Bartz I'm so sorry, what can I do for you?"

"Got damn I've been calling you for minutes, better get your head in the game we got a new shipment of customers outside and I need another hand on deck."

"Wait sir...you want me to-"

"You want this job don't you. Get working Olivia, show me you deserve to be here."

I nodded, "R-Right...I won't let you down sir." Mr.Bartz grunted and walked off allowing me to take a deep breath. I looked back at the picture of my boyfriend, Kevin, before pushing the picture down on the desk so I couldn't see it. Focus Olvia...focus. I fixed my black skirt and black blouse and took another breath before walking down the hall.

"Olvia you got a client in room 23." The secretary called as I walked by.

"Thanks Kim." I walked up to the room and seen a guy in the seat. He was African American, pretty tall and had short black hair. He seemed well build and possibly attractive. I took out my key and unlocked the folder holder that hung next to the door and pulled out the file. I opened it up and looked at the name.
Charles Harper
Age 23
Born in Chicago
Owns a business and volunteers at CrossVille orphanage
Status: Still looking for the right girl...

He actually seemed like a pretty decent guy, nice, sweet, handsome. Kind of too perfect...

I walked inside, "Hello Mr.Harper and welcome to the Match division of Soul Mate which is dedicated to finding you the girl of your dreams."

"Yeah that's exactly what brought me here Ms...."

"Olvia Davis."

"Okay Ms.Davis." He smiled as I sat down at my desk. "I'm just hoping I can find the one who's right for me. Whoever that may be."

"Well that's our goal here." I opened up the file and looked up at him folding my hands in the desk, "So tell me about yourself Mr.Harper."

"Well there's not much to say, I'm just a 23 year old man looking for something bigger. Something that doesn't just mean I can start over with someone who understands or even gets me but someone that makes me a better person when there around, because that's what love is right. Making eachother better?"

I paused and looked at him, he couldn't have worded love in any other way. Romantic, sweet, charming kinda makes me want to... I brung my self back to reality, "Umm let's talk about your past relationships."

"Well I dated a lot of girls, some didn't get far others didn't work out. I was so desperate to be in a stable relationship that I resorted to dating sites and that's what brung me here."

I nodded and jotted it down, "It says here you gotta engaged to a...Christina Walker."

"Oh her, she was my high school crush. We promised eachother that we would buy this house and have a family. So that's exactly what we did and then...she got leukemia and passed."

"Oh I'm so sorry." I exclaimed.

"No it's okay. I thought I would never find love after that but I kept trying because I knew the only way that would be true is the moment I gave up."

"Well said...so what kinda girls are you into?"

"First let me ask you Ms.Davis what kind of guys are you into."

"Well I actually have a boyfriend who seems to be my type in every way."

"Do you love him?" I was about to say yes but then thought over the question...do I? "I'm into girls like you, oblivious to what they want but knows exactly what they need. I'm into girls who not only respect themselves but respects love and romance trying to help everyone find there perfect match." I blushed and played with my blonde hair. "Is that all you needed to know Ms.Davis?"

I nodded, "Y-Yes just um...take...seat and we'll sign you up for the matching process."

"Sounds good." He stood up and I walked and opened the door. "Enjoy your day Ms.Davis." He walked out the room and towards the waiting room. I took a deep breath, with a intense feeling like I was holding my breath the whole time.

"Who's the hottie?"

I jumped back, "Got Damn it Stacey, don't sneak up on me like that."

"Well sorry, just want to know who the guy is. Maybe I'll get his number, he's definitely my perfect match."

"Oh shut up Stacey, his names Charles Harper. He's a 23 year old man who's been in many relationships in search to replace a love that died from leukemia."

"Harsh. Seems like a keeper though, I wonder how many inch-"

"Stacey!"

"Okay I'm done..." I couldn't help but stare as Charles walked away.

"Ms.Davis get to work you have another client in room 21."

"Sorry sir!" I rushed to the room.

Its crazy how one man can change someone's life especially after thinking you had it all. He proved me wrong, he became everything I wanted but could never have. He became my everything....
