It was dark and cold and Natalie finally felt safe.The darkness embraced her like an old friend and love her like a loyal mistress. She was losing her balance and sensibilty if she didn't think this whole Simon thing well.
For now she was excited.She found a way to save The Globe even if it meant digging the Thompson's secrets out .Simon knew this when he came to ask for help and he would not be bothered if he is indeed innocent.
She felt a bit guilty for making Tania's pregnancy public and causing a big scandal for Simon,maybe because she had a moment when she realised she may be doing it out of revenge.She was everything that Sonia suggested,a gossip seeker,but she felt it was more behind it than just a hidden pregnancy.It was something bigger.
She was going to go through this with Sonia,if she found her home.
Walking alone on the alleys,she knew that everything will be fine.For the first time,she found a way to save something in her life and she will grip  on every oportunity to keep the Globe to the surface.A normal woman would have been scared to walk în the night in that part of the town,but she was reckless,stubborn and very eager to reach to Sonia.
The front door with corners covered in poison ivy greated Natalie when she found herself în front os Sonia's home.She gently pressed the doorbell and waited until she heard a distant cough aproaching the door.
She was home!
"What the hell do you want at this time,hun?"
"I found a way!I found money!Let me in to talk to you"
"Your energy and enthuziasm are disturbing.It's almost midnight..."
"Chop chop....Make some coffee and let's work!"
"You're a pain in my ass"Sonia screames as Natalie strolled pass her to the kitchen.
She took an apple from the bascket laying lazily on the table and starting eating it sattisfied.
"What have you done?"Sonia asked annoyed
"What have you done at the bank after I left?"
Sonia sighed hard then whispered
"I...I didn't go for money if that's what are you implying."
"Then?Spill the tea!"
"I am seeing a desk clerk there....I went to give him some clothes back."
"Oh my god,Sonia!Since when?"
"Since I've been going to the bank every week to ask for a damn loan."
Natalie just smilled at her.She enjoyed seeing Sonia flustered because she knew that meant that she is truly happy.She deserved happiness.
"Enough about my tangled life...What have you done?"
"Simon came at the Globe this morning, asked me for a favor.."
"The nerve of this guy..."
"There's more.Have you watched the news?"
"No.Why?"
"Simon was arrested a few days ago.They found him next to a dead girl.He's the prime suspect."
"Holy shit.He really upgrade his game,Nat"
"I don't know.He says he didn't do it,but that's what all of them say."
"So he talked with you for??"
"He wants me to investigate,prove his innocence but I told him that I will only investigate the truth"
"OK.It's pretty fucked up,you know?After everything he did,he has the nerve to come and ask this?Why are you doing it because you and I know it is not about the truth here."
"I want to help him,I want to find out if he changed I guees.This girl,Tania,was his girlfriend.She was pregnant,Sonia....and he was happy so what if he is not a monster anymore?"

"What do you do if he changed?You don't love him anymore....or do you?"
"No,I just want closure,I want to release myself from this hate I fell toward him and most important,I asked him to pay me.75 000...It's a start"
"Wow...Thanks,Nat,but you are sacrifficing yourselt here.This damn newspapper doesn't deserve tou being în danger . They are bad people...."
"This newspapper is my dream!Our dream!Why did you lose your spark?Together Picasso!We rise together or we both fall!I am not falling right now so you don't have this right."
Sonia's eyes filled up with warm tears.Her motivation moved her almost bringing the hope back în her heart.
"Even with this money....If the newspapper doesn't sell we will be doomed."
"Solved this too"
"How?"
"I will write everything in this investigation.Front Page!Scandal,like tou always said.Chicago Post will be disgraced by this and we will be the pillar of truth from the City!"
"That's good.This could work!"
"I know.He promised me  that wouldn't talk with other publication,so yeah...we will see.We also have nothing to lose so this is better than nothing"
"Haven knows about Simon?"
"Yeah..."
"How did he...?"
"Quite well actually.He was a bit jealous but I understand his fear."
"You should stop running,hun.This is not coming back.Haven is not going to be there forever.He is a nice person a very hot one too."
Natalie laughed as she stood up to throw away the stub from her apple.
"I need to go upstairs to write.We need an article for tomorrow.Ok?You can go to sleep if you want."
"Hell no!I am staying up for this scandal,I will sleep when The Globe is alive and kicking."
That was Natalie's Picasso.Her strong voice that filled the room,the Power she felt when she knew that Sonia was by her side.She couldn't have done it without her
She went to Sonia's tidy bedroom took out her laptop from the bag and sit on the carpet and began writing.
The blinking line from the Word she opened mocked her lack of inspiration.She wrote în her notebook everything she knew about this story and read them thousands of times,then an idea emerged from those notes.Her eyes lit up with excitement as she began tapping the keyboard agressively,words flowing like crazy from her skilled hands

The word"pregnant"hit her hard,like she never thought a word would do.
She was pregnant with him too,but he forced her to get rid of the baby.She was young and naive,thinking that she wouldn't be able to raise it alone,thinking that she will lose him when she clung to him like a mad cat.She regrets it now,but what changed in him to see Tania's pregnancy like a blessing?
".....Simon Thompson is  the prime suspect in this case.Police are still looking for clear evidence in order to make an arrest.
Meanwhile,Tania will be missed by everyone she knew...."
