After fending off the Hyenaz, Laura helped Logan into the mansion. As she helped him take a seat in the living room, Laura looked up at the paintings Logan had painted over the years. She recognized a few of the paintings. Eventually, she helps Logan take a seat in the living room of the manor.

Logan: My....my pills are in the medicine cabinet in the kitchen.

Laura: I'll get them for you.

Laura walks to the kitchen and gets the pills from the medicine cabinet as well as a cup of water. As she does so, Laura checks on the injuries she has sustained in that fight. Much to her shock, she found no signs of injuries on her body. She didn't even feel the pain from the injuries. Laura initially brushed it off as she walks back to the living room.

Laura: Here. 

Laura hands Logan the pills and the water. Logan takes a pill and drinks some water. After a moment, Logan takes a deep breath. 

Logan: Thank you, young lady. 

Laura: No problem. Look....are you okay? You took some nasty hits out there. 

Logan: I'll be fine. Those punks didn't know who they were dealing with. 

As Logan said that, Laura turned to face Logan. Asides from his frail state, she didn't see any signs of injury on Logan. But before she could dwell on this, Laura saw an abstract painting featuring three prominent almost claw like markings on it. 

Laura: You painted this? I feel like I've seen this....

As Laura turned to face Logan, she sees that Logan was asleep on the chair. At this point, Laura already felt that this was not exactly her day. She glances over to a grandfather clock in the corner. She sees that the clock was ajar. 

Laura: Guess he was moving some furniture before the Hyenaz came. 

Without hesitation, Laura moved to put the grandfather clock in place. But as she move it, she inadvertently opened a secret entrance way. 

Laura: Whoa....

Curious about what was on the other side, Laura began walking down the stairs. When she reaches the end of the stairs, she found herself in a dark room. Suddenly, lights turned on revealing a nearly run down laboratory. 

Laura: What the hell is this place?

As Laura explores the cave, she sees a display case. When she gets close to the case, she sees the costume of the Dark Claw. It was in that moment that she realized who she had just helped. 

Laura: Holy shit....that old man's the Dark Claw!

When Laura turns around, she sees Logan standing behind her. 

Logan: Get out! Now!

Laura: Wait! I can....

Without warning, Logan and pushes her with his cane. She eventually relents and walks out of the Barrow. Logan closes the entrance to the Barrow and proceeds to kick Laura out of Wayne Manor. 

Laura: Okay okay I'm going! Freak....

Laura then gets on her motorcycle and drives away from Wayne Manor while Logan watches from inside the Manor. After that, Laura almost home when a car stopped her. 

Laura: Can I help you?

???: Are you Laura McGinnis? 

Laura: Yeah? Who's asking?

???: My name is Dr. Zander Powers. I worked with your mother.

Laura: Really? Mom never mentioned you.

Powers: Really? That's a shame. But I suppose your mother had her reasons. The work we did together was not exactly public. 

At this point, Laura began to have a bad feeling about this guy. Something in her gut told her that this guy was bad news. 

Powers: I heard about what happened to your mother. You have my deepest condolences. Rest assured that the animals who did this. 

Laura: Um....thanks....I guess. 

Powers: I don't mean to be a bother. I know you're dealing with a lot right now, but I had some questions for you. 

Laura: Okay? 

Powers: Did you mother ever talk to you about the work she did?

Laura: She was an accountant. Not much to talk about. 

Powers: So you wouldn't be privy to any files she might have?

Laura: Look, whatever files Mom had, I'm sure her job has them. I don't mean to be rude, but I'm not exactly having a great day. So....

Powers: Oh my deepest apologies. I didn't mean to offend. Well I'll leave you to it. But if you need a place to stay, I am more than happy to accommodate you. 

Laura: Um...thanks. I guess. 

As Powers got in his car, he drove away. Creeped out by this, Laura decided to take the long way home. When she got home, Laura walked up to her Mom's desk and looked at the photo of her and her family. It was at this point that Laura had more questions than answers. 

Laura: Mom....what the hell were you doing? 

As Laura puts the photograph down, she sees something poking from the picture. When she investigates it, she finds a file disk in it. 

Laura: What the hell?

Laura puts the disk onto the computer and opened it. To her shock, she saw files detailing a project to recreate something related to the Weapon X Project. As Laura looks over the files, she sees that this is what Zander Powers was referring to. 

Laura: Holy shit....

At this point, Laura realized that she stumbled onto something big. Realizing that Zander Powers was no doubt up to no good, she decides that the best option was to take it to Logan Wayne in a desperate attempt to get the Dark Claw's help. But what she didn't know was that she was on the verge of forging her own path as a Hero.
