Dark Beauty - 16.
Chapter 16
"Good morning," Sirius sang in Adria's ear, hearing her groan irritated beside him, she was all but happy with the thought of him waking her up. His hands traced along her bare back, the hoodie she previously wore gone in the process of their eventful night but she wasn't exactly complaining. Though, she would be if he even tried to take the multiple blankets she had covered herself in off of her. It was her holiday. She should be able to lie in bed all day if she so well pleased.
"Piss off," she grumbled, pushing him away whilst his laugh filled her ears and not a moment later did the curtains open with a flick of Sirius' wand and the bright winter sunshine hit her back and her eyes too, "Sirius Black I swear to god if you don't close those blinds right now-"
"Oh, what you going to do?" Sirius scoffed, seeing her turn around with a glare in her eye. She lifted her hand to shield her eyes and Sirius' words caught in his throat when the blanket shielding her body managed to slip away and expose her. It seemed as though for the many - many - times that he had seen her naked, it didn't fail him once to simply admire her.
He admired every curve, the indent of her waist, the marks that lined her body that she used to hate, the ones he would kiss when his lips trailed up her legs, and over her stomach. Small stretch marks that she had grown to love, actually, knowing deeply that they weren't the most beautiful things in the world but that didn't mean they didn't deserve the love the rest of her body got.
The way the freckles dotted her arms, only a few, but still very evident, the tattoo that still ran over her waist, even over the small bump of her stomach, the bump that was still going unnoticed by her family that didn't think anything of it. She was still waking up and could feel his eyes on her but she didn't mind all that much, it made up for the plenty of times she had taken to staring at him, times when he was sleeping or reading or simply going about daily tasks but she couldn't keep his eyes off of her.
"Come here," she mumbled, another yawn escaping her lips as he obeyed and fell onto the bed, moving towards her whilst she reached for the bobble on the side of her bed, snapping it on her wrist whilst he watched her. She was so comfortable, he had seen her body plenty of times, seen everything she offered and she didn't care that the only thing hidden from the blanket was her bottom half and that she was half way on full display, it was the least of her worries. Especially with the boy she felt most comfortable with in the whole world.
"What're you doing?" he asked when she turned his head around to face in front of them.
"The sight of you with a bun in your hair, Sirius, is one I want to see again," she spoke, bundling all of his hair into her hands and moving his head to duck her own to his neck, trailing kisses up his jaw and soon to his lips whilst he smiled, "a lovely winters day."
"The sight of you right now is one I always want to see," Sirius smirked, lifting his eyes to her when she pulled his head back gently in order to twist the bobble around the bun, pulling out stray hairs here and there.
"You could see this sight all the time if you just asked," she giggled, "as long as you keep me warm, I mean it is winter after all."
"I think I can arrange that," Sirius nodded, "but unless you want the neighbours to get a treat, then I suppose you put on...probably my hoodie again, cause I'm going to make pancakes."
"Well that's great," Adria grinned, "everyone's coming back today. Benji and Arden have to get the train because he can't apparate of course, why we had to get a car obviously - well actually, I like the car, anyway! Alina and Lia will probably be back around noon and I think Grace and Alfie are coming over again with Mila."
"Well don't you think now might be a good time to tell them all?" he asked, his eyebrow raised as he sat up, the bun in his hair tight enough not to fall out whilst Adria thought about it.
"I don't know," she sighed, running a hand through her very long hair. She really needed a haircut soon, her curls where turning more and more into waves because of the length of it, it was getting out of hand, "I mean I know they'll all be supportive and all but I already have you basically carrying me about, do I really need that with all of them just yet? I mean, merlin think about Benji!"
"Oh, you're right," Sirius scoffed, pulling her hand from her hair knowing that she was doing it out of worry, "whatever you decide will be the right decision, whenever you want. I just don't want them figuring out themselves and wondering why we didn't tell them."
"I know, I want to tell them, I want to see their reactions," Adria laughed softly, she took a deep breath, "I suppose telling them later will be natural, because they were all here at once."
"Exactly," he nodded, "come on, will you get Jude?"
"Yeah, I'll get him," she said, leaning down to pick up his hoodie and quickly getting dressed in a pair of old shorts that she really needed to throw out.
She rushed over to him before he was able to walk down stairs, wrapping her arms around him and pressing a kiss to his cheek whilst he shook his head, muttering about her being, "something else," whilst she walked off to Jude's room with a grin.
"Morning prince, it's time to get up!" Adria beamed, hearing him groan and having a quick flashback to just fifteen minutes ago, "does my little prince not want to get up?!"
"No!" he exclaimed, whining about the coldness of the home whilst Adria opened the curtains of his room, which resulted in much more very frustrated groans of frustration from the boy.
"Well I guess Sirius and I will eat all these pancakes ourselves!" Adria sighed, watching Jude open one eye whilst slowly sitting up in his bed.
"Cakes?!" he exclaimed, standing suddenly whilst Adria giggled, scooping him into her arms, "Addy..."
"Yeah Jude?" she watched him take her hand in his, his eyes slightly narrowed as he looked at her nails painted a dark red that resembled the Gryffindor colour, as well as represented Christmas.
"What is that?" he asked, his head titled and looking back at an amused Adria.
"That is my nails, look you have them too," she giggled, showing him his own hand whilst his eyes widened.
"Why aren't they the same?!" he exclaimed, clasping a hand over his mouth.
"Because mine are painted," she walked out of his room, "do you like them."
He nodded his head silently, staring intently at her nails before speaking, "I want them."
"Well I can paint your nails for you, if you'd like?" she asked, seeing his face light up like a Christmas tree and his head nodded furiously. She quickly entered her and Sirius' room with the boy in her arms, looking for the specific colour of nail polish before finding it on her dresser and soon moving to walk down the stairs in order to go into the living room.
"Alright, you have to stay still so I don't make any mess, alright?" she asked, seeing him nod slowly from in front of her, cross legged and his smile still as wide as ever. She was very focused as she painted each nail to look like hers, she hardly saw anything bad about painting the boy's nails no matter what anyone said, he was more than ecstatic to have them like hers and she would never not let the boy do something because of some closeminded views on what was right and wrong.
She was hardly paying attention to anything else that she didn't even notice Sirius walk in, quickly sitting the pancakes at the table so that he could see what the two of them were doing, "are you painting his nails?"
"Yep."
"What colour?"
"Red."
"Can you do mine next?"
"Course I can," Adria grinned, looking up at Sirius finally who was rolling up his sleeves, "it means we will be matching."
"Exactly, family nail painting," Sirius smirked, "brilliant for Christmas."
-
"I love your nails, Jude," Alina giggled when she sat down on one of the sofas beside the boy, "the colour is very Christmassy, did Adria do that?"
"Yeah! Addy did it for me this morning and then she did Pad's too so now we are all matching!" Jude beamed, seeing Alina's face light up as she sat with him.
"Well I am jealous because my nails aren't nearly as colourful as yours!" she tutted, pulling him onto her lap whilst he told her that Adria would make them like his for her.
"So, is there a reason as to why you're making us all sit here with tea and cakes?" asked Alfie, his eyebrow raised and rather annoyed that Jude's nails where painted when the toddler didn't even know that he was the one that taught Adria how to do it perfectly.
"Well technically-"
"Yes, there is," Sirius cut off Adria who was sitting on his lap, glaring at the boy who wasn't going to let her get out of it. She agreed this morning that she wanted to do it and all through the day she had changed her mind multiple times, wondering if this really was the right time to tell them when Sirius knew that it most definitely was, they needed to know at some point and Adria was already showing.
"There is something we need to tell you guys, it's something big and I don't want you guys to treat me any differently because I'm perfectly fine," Adria spoke, getting much more comfortable on Sirius' lap, "the reason it has taken this long for me to tell you is because I didn't want you guys thinking I needed any help, and you were away traveling, I didn't want you to think you needed to come back, and I wanted to tell you all in person," Adria breathed out.
"Should we be scared?" asked Grace, a small smile on her face even though she was rather worried at the girl's words.
"No, no, no," she took a deep breath, "I'm fine, it's great news...kind of terrifying if we're being honest but we're happy and we've accepted it."
"Addy, you're kind of terrifying everyone," Benji laughed, holding onto Arden's hand whilst Lia's head rested on his shoulder.
"Sorry," she grinned sheepishly, "I, okay well...I'm...I'm pregnant!"
Alina's eyes widened whilst Lia's head lifted from Benji's shoulder, Alfie couldn't deny that he was more than shocked and Grace's squeal was heard through the living room. Arden, well Arden already knew, she had found a way to control her powers on her travels with Benji but Adria's thoughts, as well as Sirius managed to peak through her mind because of how strong they were, more so because they were so stressed that their mind was in overdrive, and hearing about Adria being pregnant was one of their many thoughts.
Benji...Benji was speechless, no shocked, no happy, no confused, no he was all of them rolled into one and he didn't exactly know how to feel. The news of his twin sister pregnant would always be a shock to him, regardless of who it was with and regardless of the girls age but he didn't think it would affect him as much as it did. He didn't think that tears would roll down his cheeks, he didn't think of much else other than the fact that he was going to be an uncle again and this time it was with his twin's child.
The thought made him cry anymore. It seemed as though he was being the emotional twin in that moment.
Adria stood suddenly, and so did she and she ran to him. He was her best friend, Lily Evans would be her first friend at Hogwarts, and the first friend that she would always give the title too but Benjamin Hopkins was truly her first friend and best friend and she loved him with all of her heart to the point that she was crying too, and it was an emotional sight for their family to witness.
"I can't believe it," Benji whispered, shaking his head though a laugh of disbelief fell from his lips, "oh my, bloody hell what is it you say, merlin? Well bloody merlin, I can't believe it!"
Adria laughed, hugging him tightly once again, "I don't know if it's a boy or girl, I wish I did know, though, but I know that they're gonna love you so much, they're gonna love their uncle Benny."
