"Would you tell me AGAIN, why on earth are we walking?!" Judith complained for the tenth time.

The man walking in front of her sighed annoyed. "A-AGAIN, for the m-million time! D-do you see a-a path?! A r-road?!" Toby shot at her. "W-we c-cant drive there."

"Oh yeah?! And who's fault is that!" She complained as she followed the man deep into the woods, heading to his cabin where they were meeting Jack with no eyes. "You just had to live in the freaking woods!— ugh!"

The man chuckled and glanced back at her, he slowed down for her to keep up, she was having a hard time walking on the forest's ground and between the trees which he found amusing.

Judith looked up at him and she could clearly see him smiling— laughing underneath his mask. "What's so funny! You enjoy this?! Of course you..you cree— AH!—" She wasn't paying attention and as a result, she tripped on a slippy rock.

Thankfully there was a big pair of arms ready to hold her and stop her fall.
"A-ah— Oof!!.." the woman looked up at the man who had his hands around her lower stomach and on her shoulder supporting her.

"W-watch it, or else y-you'll fall and cut y-your head open on a-something, and then imma h-have to carry you."

Judith shot him a glare.
"Okay Tarzan, and what are you planning to do with my dead body Huh?! I don't even want
to—"

"De-dead?" The man helped her stand and then let go. "O-oh y-you're not gonna d-die."
He hummed before he continued walking.

"What do you mean— hey wait!" She sighed and started walking again.

After a short while they stopped talking— well,  Judith stopped complaining and walked quietly. Until Toby broke the silence.

"I l-like the woods." He said quietly.
Judith raised a brow. "Um, good for you?"

"N-no, you sorta asked wh-why I l-live in the woods, b-because it's nice. I-it's quiet and t-there's no p-people around." He said.

"Hmm..you're not much of a People's person, Huh." She nodded. "If I wanted quiet and away from people, then I'd rather live in one of those goat farms on top of a mountain in Switzerland or something." She mumbled.

"T-that sounds nice, t-then you c-can have o-one of t-the goats for dinner every other—"

"Hey!" She nudged him. "They'd be my friends! And friends are not for dinner. Also, goats are cute, can't just eat em." She chuckled.
Then she poked him on the shoulder.

"W-well, they're y-your friends, not mine- and.." he stopped and looked down at her.
"W-what are you duh-doing?" He asked narrowing his eyes.

"What? This—" she poked him hard on the shoulder. "Hehe, does it hurt?"

"Sh-should it?"

Judith's little silly smile dropped slowly.
"No?— yeah you probably can't feel it because of this heavy jacket you're—"

The man suddenly turned and started walking again. "C-can't feel a thing." He mumbled.

"What did you say?—" she started following after him trying to keep up.

He stopped again.
She almost tripped at his sudden pause.
"Oh!— oh you gotta warn me buddy I—"

"I c-can't F-feel anything— pain. Can't f-feel it." He uttered.

Judith's eyes squinted as she took that in.
"What? Okay?— yeah okay sure." She giggled.
"I-I'm s-serious—"
"Yeah sure, hehe wanna put it to a test then?" She joked.

She was about to let it go But he was serious, and he nodded. "S-sure."

Judith narrowed her eyes as her lips parted.
"What? Oh, I was joking—.....wait." She turned back to him. "You're serious?"

He nodded again.
She tilted her head.

"Rogers, I was just— wait you really can't feel pain? Okay but how—"
"C.I.P.A, C-Congenital Insensitivity to- to Pain with An-Anhidrosis." He explained. "C-can't sweat either" he shrugged.
"Wait it's an actual thing?— no, you're messing with me— okay So if I punch you..you'll feel nothing? Impossible." She crossed her arms.

The man chuckled.
"G-go ahead." He encouraged.

The woman stood there stunned.
She considered it for a moment and balled her ungloved into a fist, she threw it at him but didn't actually hit him, just to scar him.

He didn't even flinch.

"Boom!— oh, okay tough guy." She pouted and dropped her hand. The man laughed.

She turned telling herself to drop it, but the curiosity got her. So, she turned back to him immediately and actually slapped him.

SLAP.

The slap tilted the man's head but he turned back and looked at him with a smile under his mask. "W-was that a h-hard one? C-couldn't feel i-it." He chuckled.

The woman's jaw dropped.
"For real? Damn...you really didn't feel it?"

The man nodded then he began walking again.
Judith followed after him.

"I-I think w-we shouldn't k-keep Jack waiting t-too long, w-we are almost there."

Judith stayed quiet after that. She had many questions about this new condition she just found out about, but one question she told herself to keep to herself is asking him how many freaking conditions does he suffer from.
Somehow, she managed to keep shut.

A short while later, they arrived at a cabin not too different from the one where the other creeps lived in. She stopped in front of it and looked around, next to the cabin there was what looked like a setup for target practice.

"You use guns? I thought you only used—"
"Guns?" The man asked as he grabbed one of his hatches that hung on his sides then, from where they were standing which are many, MANY feet away from the target, he threw it.

The hatchet flew from where they were standing and hit the target. Judith jumped at the sudden act and gasped when it hit the target.

"Yea—ah! Oh— oh my god?!...how did you
just—" Her jaw dropped and the man chuckled.

"W-wanna see how it w-works with a live t-target? S-start running—" The man reached for his other hatchet.
Judith's eyes widened and she grabbed his hand stopping him. "Excuse me what— um
NO?!— d-didn't you say Jack's waiting?"

The man's sudden excitement dropped.
"Yeah. I guess later then...Come on."
He started walking toward the cabin.

'How about fucking never?!' Judith thought as she shook her head.

Walking inside, Judith's eyes scanned the cabin. It was a cute cabin, she thought. As they walked in, they walked into one big room, which looked like a living room with a couch and an armchair in front of the TV, on the far left corner a kitchen counter was placed next to the wall, and in front of it stood a little kitchen table, with kitchen essentials around it. When she turned to the right, she Saw a little hallway that probably led to rooms.

From that hallway, someone came walking out.
"You're finally here."

"H-hey Ej." Toby greeted as he placed his hatchet away.

The man, whom she now knows as Jack came approaching them. "I've prepared the back room." He stopped and looked at Judith at him saying. "You must be the one with the demon blood."

Judith stared at the man in front of her and took in his odd appearance. The man, Jack;
Wore all black, she could see he had brownish hair under his dark hoodie and he had a strange bluish mask that— it had something dripping out of his mask, out of what she guess are eye holes. She was staring and the man acknowledged that.

"It's rude to stare."
"I know." Judith shut her hanging mouth and nodded. Then she moved all of a sudden, she didn't know why but she was intrigued and had many questions. The woman took a few steps closer to the man with the blue mask.

"You're Jack?" She asked in a low voice.
The man, taken back by her sudden approach almost stepped back but he held his position.

He nodded.
"You-...what exactly do you know about the demon blood? The deal?" She asked.

The man stood quiet for a minute.
"Not much." He answered.

"But then- then how are you gonna help me—"

"First, I'm not helping you, I'm working. And second, the demon you are bound to is a deal-maker demon, That's why he requires others to do its work because it can't do it itself. And by removing the blood, you no longer work for it."

"A-and how exactly are you gonna—"

The man took a step closer to the woman and bent down a little bit.
"I can feel it, and I can target it." He said.

Judith pursed her lips shut and stared into the two black holes staring down at her. She firmly nodded. "But the deal..If you take the blood out..then the deal is off..r-right?" She said in a low voice.

The man stood quiet for a minute.
"Yes and no." He said. "You won't be able to complete the deal, because he already tasked you a deal. You're still killing Chris Mitchell correct? If you do so without the demon blood then the soul won't transfer to the demon you're under, which in return means your deal will never be off." He explained. "But.."

"B-but?"
"But without the blood in you, he has no control over you. But he will." He said pointing at her hand, her invisible mark.

Judith looked down at her hand, she still wasn't sure but it was not like she could change her mind anymore. She was about to ask him another question when He pulled away and started walking. "Come, the room is ready for the procedure."

Judith shot her eyes back at him and shivers ran down her back.
"W-Wait what procedure—" she turned to Toby in a panic. "W-what procedure?!"
The other man who stood at the door arms crossed shrugged and started following Jack leaving the woman starting there.

Judith soon followed. She walked after them and into the back where there were 3 rooms, they walked into one of them and her eyes rounded at the scene. There, was an empty room with a table in the middle surrounded by some chairs and mini tables with trays on top of them filled with what looked like medical tools. Judith freaked out even more.

"Nah Uh. N-no— w-what are you going to do!?" The woman took a step back. "What exactly a-are you— remind me again how are you gonna take BLOOD out of me without—"

Jack walked in and started messing with some of the tools placed on the trays.
"By using an old procedure, something similar to Bloodletting."

Judith had no idea what that was and she didn't want to know.

She shook her head. "Y-you're gonna d-do a surgery or s-something?! Here?! Who are you again!? Do you have—"

"I'm a doctor." He said not sparing her any glances. "Now, have a seat." He pointed at the table.

Toby who walked in and sat on one of the chairs at the end of the room giggled.
"T-this i-is gonna be f-fun."

Judith glared at him. "Yeah?! Then YOU do it!" She turned back to Jack. "I-isn't there any other way—- wait!" She got closer to him.
"B-Brian mentioned you're s-some type of a demon yourself— Is that true?! If so, then why can't you just— I don't know? Magically remove it or something!!" She pleaded, eyes scanning the scary-looking tools in horror.

Jack finished organizing his tools and turned and finally looked at the woman in front of him.
"Are you Going to do this or not? Don't waste my time." He said carefully. "He asked me to do this, and you're going to answer to him if this is not done."

Judith bit her lip and came to the realization there was no out of this one. She exhaled deeply and glanced at the table behind her before she hopped on it, sitting. "Am I g-gonna be under anesthesia? Do you even know how to use that?.."

"There's no need for it in this procedure." He said grabbing something, which Judith avoided looking at because she couldn't handle needles or knives. "And if you stay still and don't annoy me, then I'll only take one."

Judith raised a brow.
"Um, take what?" She asked, getting all alarmed.

Jack paused and looked at her.
"A kidney." He said, all casual.

Judith stared at the man, what a funny man, she thought. She laughed.
"Hahaha! Oh, you're so funny—"

"H-he ain't k-kidding~~" Toby sang.

"Of course, he is—" her smile dropped and she glanced at Toby before looking back at Jack.
"You're kidding right?...right?!—" the woman's hand shot to her lower back, holding where she thinks her kidneys are.
"you're serious?!—...HELL NO!! Y-YOU ARE NOT TAKING NO K-KIDNEYS OF MINE!! NOT ONE! NOT TWO!!" The woman shouted as she pulled away from the man.

Jack sighed. "That's not where your kidneys are." He glanced at Toby. "I was promised a kidney." He grumbled.

"Y-you're for s-sure not t-taking mine." The man shook his head.

"What kind of a demon are you?! A freaking kidney demon— why do you even need a kidney for!" Judith scolded. She glanced at Toby. "You should start calling him kidney Jack instead— and speaking of!!" She turned back, looking between the two men. "D-do I need to know why they call you Eyeless Jack?! Please tell me you— wait...." As the woman looked at the man, who stood close to her now; she realized that what she was looking at was not a complete full mask, it had holes. Over the eyes, where some black dried liquid dripped out of it, the holes were located.

Judith's lips parted and her eyes widened as she came to the realization why they call him eyeless Jack.
"Y-you.." the woman tried to form a sentence but many things raced in her mind, many questions. "How?.." she breathed.

The astounded woman wondered, if he didn't have eyes then how can he see?
She found herself getting all curious, and she put it to a test. Judith without thinking raised both of her hands up to the man's face—masked face, and over his "eyes", she let her hands hover in front of them. "Y-you can see?.." she muttered quietly and low.

The man standing in front of her stood still.
He paused what he was doing and stared down at the woman as she had her hands over his eyes. "Obviously." He answered her. Then he grabbed both of her hands and pushed them down to her side. "And this is rude." He mumbled before turning back to his tray.

"Oh- y-yes. I know." She mumbled back. And looked down still amazed.

"N-now you k-know why h-he's Eyeless Jack" Toby chuckled as he got up and started heading to the door.

Judith turned to him. "Where are you going?— woah wait! Rogers You can't just leave me here
alone—- I don't have my gun!! what if he takes my kidney?! Um- no offense doctor but I don't trust you!— TOBY—"

"I'm d-done babysitting you~ b-beside you'll be fine." He reached the door and took a final glance at her. "I-it's only one kidney!~" he laughed as he shut the door behind him.

Judith gasped. "you— ASSHOLE!" She couldn't believe him, just when she started liking the guy.

"Let's get started." Hummed Jack.

Minutes later, Judith laid on the very uncomfortable table with a tube in her arm. She has her free arm over her eyes as she laid, feeling lightheaded and getting dizzy and weak. She felt like she's gonna pass out any minute now. "Hmm...Jack?" She mumbled.

"Yes?" Replied the man sitting on the chair next to her, holding the tube that is sucking the demon blood's out.

"I think I'm gonna pass out..is that normal?"

"It's harmless." He responded.

"M-hm...hey Jack?"

"Yes?"

The woman moved her arm and looked at him.
"If I do..pass out...d-don't take my kidney okay?" She said all worn out. "I'll get you one— not mine...no d-definitely not mine..but I'll get you one if that's what you want..."

The man who didn't look at her before, turned his head to her. He found her little bargaining interest, no one offered to get him a kidney before.

He stared down at her for a minute.
"Hm. Okay." He nodded before turning his attention back to the tube. "About the deal, what did you get in exchange?" The man asked.

Judith who almost closed her eyes again, glanced at him but smiled to herself.
"Hmm...me? Nothing. But.." she giggled softly.
"He got everything...which is what matters.." she mumbled.

"Who?"

"Someone..somewhere out there..." she smiled thinking about her little brother who is all grown up now and that he's safe and sound somewhere out there, as she covered her eyes with her forearm.

Judith prayed Jack truly meant that and agreed to her little deal. No, she didn't know where the fuck she's gonna find him a kidney but that was the last of her concerns as she finally passed out.

Judith darted away to sleep, with every drop of blood dripping out of her, her unconscious mind was filled with a memory of her past life, the person she used to be.
