T w e n t y - O n e

'It's never going to let you go.' The creature told Judith.

She sat there through the static and the pain of the memories that creature brought back, it made her remember that day as if it just happened. It also opened her eyes to something important, something she completely missed back then.

Red-eyes were never going to let her go.

She was naive back then. She did make a choice and agreed to make the deal but she didn't know what the deal was exactly, the deal she took was supposed to be her brother's which was a completely different deal from what the demon said it usually does.

The creature that hovered over her exposed the deal-making demon's true intentions, the deal that she made was an everlasting one, and that's why it injected her with its blood, it's supposed to be permanent.

The woman now realizing how dumb she was, started laughing at her old naive self. She couldn't help but feel sorry for herself, does she regret it now? No.

She told herself she did it for a reason, she did it for him, her little brother and he's okay now.
She was faced with a hard decision to make and she made a choice.

The woman raised her head back up again and looked at the faceless creature. It might be faceless but she can tell it can see her and it never took its gaze off her.

"And what do you want from me?.." the woman asked in a low quiet voice.

The creature, who still had its long spindly hand out for her, titled its head and bent closer.

It spilled a few words into her head that horrified her.
Not again, she thought.

The creature was asking her to join him, to work for her instead, it was straightforward and clear, agree or die.

The woman shit her eyes closed.
'I can't keep going on like this..' she thought.

Judith thought this was it for real, it was going to be over here. She was somehow ready, as a human she didn't have anything to go back to or a life to live. She came to terms with her previous being over, that there's no going back.

Her brother has moved on, soon he will have a beautiful little family of his own, and she doesn't see herself being a part of that family.
Not with the person she has become, how could she? That Judith is long gone now.

But not so fast, Judith was about to surrender to death when the creature filled her head with further words, this time the creature approached his offer from a different angle.

'Revenge.'

The creature was offering her revenge. If she agreed to be his little worker- or like how it put it.....A "Proxy".

Judith snapped her eyes open again and looked back at the creature. Many thoughts raced in her mind.

Was this a trick? Another being trying to trick her into throwing her life, which now she doesn't even have, away?

But it's true, now things are different. Now, unlike before she has nothing to lose.

But she can gain something in return,
Revenge.

The moment the creature threw this word into her head, it got stuck. Judith thought it over and over, revenge on the thing that literally ruined her life? That sounds nice.

Judith didn't need to talk, the creature had read her mind. She asked how she possibly have revenge, and even if she joined it she'd still be under the demon's mercy.

The creature has the solution though.
And it was offering it to her, as long as she agreed to join him.

Judith gazed at the creature's hand in front of her, she knew she didn't need to think about it anymore, she had nothing to lose after all.

So, she took the creature's hand with her gloved hand. The moment she touched it, the glove dissolved and she was struck with a strong throbbing force, a force that dug deep into her skin and flesh, it felt like something was being Engraved into her skin, and indeed it was, but it suddenly stopped as if it didn't fully go through.

Judith looked at the creature in horror then it pulled his hand away, and filled her head with words, telling her the demon's blood needed to be removed first. Then the static returned but it started fading and her vision became completely blurry then lost consciousness.

Time has passed, And it felt like ages for Judith. She'd been unconscious for hours before she finally opened her eyes.

Judith opened her eyes to a ceiling, she guessed she was laying in a bed because of the pillow underneath her head and the blanket on top of her, covering her. She stayed still and didn't move any part of her body, she laid there for a couple of long minutes thinking.

She tried to think, to remember. She tried to remember what happened, where is she, and how she got here but she couldn't.

She decided to get up and find out. Judith exhaled deeply and slowly then tried moving her arms but the second she did that, she was hit with a terrible amount of pain. It was like as if millions of needles were injected into her arms and eventually the rest of her body as she tried to sit up, which she managed to do.

She pushed through the pain and her aching body, clenching her teeth and holding the pain in as she sat up. Judith ran one of her hands, the one that wasn't injured and covered in old bandages that probably needed a change, the now ungloved one, through her black hair as she sighed. After dropped her hand she remembered something, there was something on it.

She stared at her ungloved left hand and remembered.
"T-the motel.." she whispered, as everything came back to her. She now remembered what happened, she remembered the creature.

The new "deal" she made.

Judith stared down at her hand for a second as her eyes widened in horror, she cursed under her breath and bit her lip.
"Damn it...I really should stop making these deals..." she murmured to herself.

She finally raised her head up and took in her surroundings, she immediately noticed that the room she was in was familiar and she'd been in it before, she was back at the cabin.

"Shit."
'You gotta be kidding me..' she thought.

Judith looked around the room for a second then it hit her, she was in bed...in bed.

"Oh- oh shit, oh no no." She pushed the covers away and jumped to her feet ignoring her aching body. "Ew ew- ugh gross." She crinkled her nose in disgust and as she got up, she tripped over something.

She looked Down to see her-
"ah!-... oh?..oh what the fuck, my bags?!" It was everything she owned and kept in her car, they were displayed on the floor next to her bags. Even the tool bag she dropped back at the woods by the creeps was there.

"H-how- who!" The girl shouted balling her fists as she turned to the door. She walked over to the door and slammed it open then walked out. "WHO THE FUCK TOUCHED MY STUFF!!-" the woman shouted as she made it out of her room and headed down a familiar hallway.

"Oh looks like little Miss Sunshine finally woke up." She heard someone say and she already had a good guess who it was.

Judith walked into the small living room of the cabin where the creeps reside. She stopped and took a look at who was present in front of her, All three were there and unmasked except for Toby who had his mouthguard on.

The woman paused and crossed her arms.
"Which one of you creeps touched my stuff?!"

Brian looked up at her from his phone with a smile. "You're awake."

Toby waved at her from the armchair he sat on. "H-hey Judith~"

"That's the ugliest name I've ever heard." Tim snickered.

"No shit, shut it, Toby. And what was that-"
She glared at Tim. "Did you say Something, Timothy?!"

Tim who was leaning back all comfortable on the couch, watching TV didn't spare her a look.
"Hey, since killing her isn't an option anymore; unfortunately, I can still hurt her right?" He said instead.

"You won't be hurting anyone in here." Brian sighed and got up then walked over to Judith.
"I believe We need to talk." He stopped in front of her.

"Didn't you get your stupid tapes?! Where's my Chris, Brian. He was supposed to be in there! In the motel!! But no, instead I found that-"

Tim got up suddenly. "Do not talk about Him." He warned and walked away as he took out one of his cancer sticks.

Judith paid him no attention and kept her eyes locked on Brian who stared back at her.
"Like I said, we need to talk." He said before sitting back down. "Sit down."

Judith stood there arms crossed for a moment in objection before sitting down.
"Go on then, fucking explain what the fuck is going on."

Brian sighed and pointed at her ungloved hand. "You've been marked." He said.

Judith took a good look at him, eyebrows knitted and arms crossed, she huffed.
"Marked?"

"Y-yes, Marked," Toby said. "And T-that means you're o-one of us now."

"Or at least, soon will be. You'll be fully marked soon, We are working together from now on-"

"Woah wait, wait a damn minute. What the fuck you mean I'm one of You?! As if!" She huffed.

"Well, you have already met Him, it's too late now and he's going to mark soon. We also have a new task that includes You." Brian explained.

"Him? That thing at the motel isn't a-"

"He has many names, we refer to it as him. And it's best not to talk about him often or he'll show up often." He sighed. "Trust me, you don't want that."

Judith narrowed her eyes, she tried to recall her vague "conversation" with the creature but the only thing she could remember was agreeing to work for him and--....the revenge part.

"Wait, that thin- He, promised me something! I-..." Judith looked down at her hand that had been marked. "But what if I changed my mind?! I wasn't thinking straight and--"

"And that's too fucking bad." Tim, who came back inside with a cigarette in hand interrupted. "There's no changing your mind, you're already a part of this sweetheart."

Judith glanced at him and crinkled her nose at the smell. "Can you fucking not?!"

"Uh, I think the fuck I can, this is my house and I'll do as I fucking please."

"Yeah? Fine, but I hope that stick suffocates you to death." She rolled her eyes and turned back to Brian.

"I wish." He mumbled before dropping on the other couch.

"Listen, I, to my bitch of luck, work for someone else and I can't just hand in my notice or something?! I'm bound!"

"Hm. We know." Brian nodded and leaned back. "And it's getting taken care of."

"T-that's why he's c-cah coming over."

"The fuck he's not, twitchy didn't I tell you I don't want that eyeless freak here?!"

Judith tilted her head and shot a look at Brian.
"Uh, who is coming and why?" She asked.

"S-someone who's gonna t-take care of what's inside y-you, and no Timothy calm your tits down h-he's not coming here." Said Toby.

Tim sat straight as he shot a death glare at the man sitting on the armchair. "You want to say that ag-"

Brian placed a hand on Tim's shoulder and pulled him back as he was about to get up.
"Stop. This is not the time." He looked back at Judith. "His name is Jack, he's going to take care of the demon's blood inside-"

Judith waved her hands around. "And how did you know about that?!-"

"He informed us. And he's going to be taken care of then..." He looked at her carefully.

"Then?" She raised a brow.

"Then you're going to take care of Chris Mitchell for Him." he said.

"Chris Mitchell?! That brat must've left town by now! And it's all your fault!-"

"Yeah, he won't be going anywhere. We took care of it and once you're done with this demon blood issue, we can discuss this."

Judith's lips parted, she thought about it for a minute. "How.." she shook her head.
"How and- and...let's say I was free from my contract what makes you think I won't just walk away after?" She questioned.

Brian exhaled.
"Well, I believe you didn't walk away from the contract you had with the demon because you couldn't, this is the same situation and worse. There's no walking away and you can't run or hide."

Tim laughed next to him as he kept his eyes on the muted TV. "Ha ha, let her. I'd like to see what will happen to her."

"But-"

"You think he just chose you recently? You'd be wrong, think about it. Because if you think back you'll realize he's been watching you for way longer." Brain added.

Judith stared at him for a second then looked down thinking and recalling the moments she felt watched, it started making sense. She went further back in her mind, back 3 years ago.

She gasped. "T-that....3 years ago!! In Omaha?! No way-"

"W-what happened in Oh-Omaha?" Toby asked curiously.

"What happened in Omaha stays in Omaha." She shot at him and looked back up at Brain.
"So? And how exactly are you planning on taking that fucker's blood out of me? And what if it came to me before?! You know the fucker can show up at any--"

"Not here, not in the woods." Brain answered.
"The woods- all woods belong to him and he has control here."

That made sense, now she knew why it ordered her to stay out of the woods. But...

What about Him? What would happen to her brother if she broke the deal?

Judith jumped onto her feet all of a sudden causing everyone to look at her. "NO-...no no this-" she looked down at Brain. "This is a mistake!! I made a deal for a reason and If-..I-if it breaks then what would to-...." She bit her lip as many different scenarios played in her head.

"I th-think Jack mentioned s-something about th-the deal w-when I talked to him," Toby said as he got up. "We s-should go, h-he must have arrived by now and you c-can ask him about it."

"And how would this no-eyes Jack know anything about demon deals!?" Judith shouted as she crossed her arms.

"He's somehow of a demon himself." Answered Brian.

'Oh, How nice, more demons. Just what I needed.' Judith thought.
