Judith's POV
"It's like the shittiest motel ever, and it's not far from that diner- oh! There's a nearby park as well."
I did my best to give directions to the man driving, my kidnapper, Known as frown-face.
He didn't seem satisfied with my directions, but oh well, he agreed to go from there.
After giving instructions to the man, I tugged at the cross around my neck and started thinking about a way to get out of this mess.
Why now, why did it have to end on something like this? I can't help but think it's my karma.
From the side of my eyes, I peeked at the man.
The man glanced back. It's getting awkward.
I held my breath in and looked outside the window as I played with my necklace for a distraction.
The awkwardness didn't last, since the man decided to break the silence.
"What was that back then, with your "real" name?" He asked.
It took me a minute-
"Huh? Oh...uh- well what do you think my name is?" I finally looked at him.
"Jenna?" He answered unsurely.
I shook my head. "It's Jenna for you, Mr. Stalker." I said.
He snickered. "Using fake names huh, Well, what's your real name, Jenna?" He looked at me for a second then back at the road.
I gave him a look. Is he for real?
"And why would I tell you- I mean, okay- what's YOUR name? Hm? Yeah, Don't think-"
"Brain, you can call me brain." He said.
I blinked. "Okay?...okay- Brian, but I'm still not telling you mine." I crossed my arms.
"And Thanks but I'll stick with Frown-face."
"Frown-face?"
"Yes, Frown-face." I confirmed.
The car stopped and by actually looking at my surroundings, I saw that we arrived at the motel.
"Oh? Oh we are here- How?? You actually got us here with my directions??-" I'm impressed.
The man, Frown-face, Brian- turned the car off and opened his door to get out.
"Come on" he motioned for me to get out.
Maybe this is it, I took a look around and Thought about making a run for it. The motel was placed on a side of a ghost road, there's nothing around and the closest thing is the park I've been to, which is 10 minutes away.
There's no one around and even if there were, I can't ask for help. No, no that will only end up with me getting involved with the police which is something I avoided like the plague for the past 4 years. I'm not built for jail.
I didn't want to keep the man- Brain, waiting and make him think I was up for something.
I got out of the car and walked over to him.
"We are here, this is the motel. Which room?"
He spoke as he took a look around at the rooms.
My eyes shifted from him to the second floor.
"Second floor." I said then I started walking leading him upstairs.
We stopped in front of the room next to the room I stayed in, and I looked up at him with a smile. "Here you go!~ well then my job is done here, good luck and I hope we never cross each oth--" I started walking away hoping he'd let me go just like that, but of course he didn't.
He let out a faint chuckle as he grabbed my arm and held me back. "Not so fast," he said.
"Ugh- Alright but how are you gonna open this?? I'm sure the lady at the front de-"
He paid me no attention, instead, he reached to his back with his free hand and took something out from his back pocket.
A mini crowbar.
"Oh shit," my eyes widened.
So just like that? We are breaking into a motel room in the middle of the day, right in the open? I turned to keep a lookout mostly for my sake, as he let go of me he placed the mini crowbar in between the gap of the door, and with one push, it opened.
We wasted no time and walked inside.
I switched the lights on and took in the mess of the room. "Gross" I murmured.
How did they manage to trash the whole room in one stay? Boys are indeed gross.
"Just so that you know, I'm not touching anything." I stated and crossed my arms.
Frown-face shut the door and started searching around.
Seconds turned into minutes, very long minutes, and minutes turned into a whole hour of searching. Frown-face even got me to help, which was against my Will by the way.
Frown-face held into the camera he found under the desk. "This is here, but the tapes are not." He said after looking one more time under the bed. He stood up and turned to me, stopping the search.
"Well obviously! We looked everywhere, the kid must've taken them with him then.." I signed deeply and stood there crossed-armed.
"I think maybe--" I was interrupted by the door of the room opening.
I panicked, we got caught and the police are here and I'm going to prison and-
"Oh no Who- oh?..." and it wasn't the police, it was just another surprise fate threw at me.
"Find anything?" A man walked in shutting the door behind him, he didn't address me at all but the man I'm with, Brian.
Now that I took a good look at him, would you look at that....that's the other man from the diner, and it only hit me like a truck when I realized he was also--
"You-...Asshole?!-" I gasped.
He shot me a look, oh this is different, I can see how mad he got when his eyes fell on me.
He's less intimidating without a mask though.
"Oh look, it's the bitch." He threw my way before turning to Frown-face, who must've contacted him earlier when I saw him go through his phone during our little search.
"No, they're not here." He said
"Hm." The Asshole nodded, "you know what means right?" He added as he looked at me.
My eyes narrowed confused as to what he was hinting at. I really need to eat something soon, I think my blood sugar is low because I'm starting to lose focus, I thought.
"The bitch is toying with us" he blurted.
The fuck I'm not, and by the way he's clinching his fists, this is not good he probably won't believe me. "What?- what no?? He was here. Christ Mitchell was HERE, and he had your stupid tapes with him!?-"
"You can lie all you want, I think we kept her for way too long-" the asshole said as he started walking towards me.
"Tim wait," said Frown-face.
So that's the asshole's name, Tim.
I took a step back as Tim walked towards me.
"Y-yeah Tim, wait- just hold on a minute"
I pleaded as I kept backing away from him, since my eyes were on the man in front of me, I didn't pay attention to what was underneath me.
I didn't pay attention to the bottles of beer laying on the floor behind me and ended up falling backward.
"I- AH!- a-ah ouch.." I fell on my butt and thankfully on the floor, not on something that can send me to the ER.
I heard Frown-face sigh and he was saying something but it went over my head after what happened next.
I was about to grab one of those beer bottles and throw them at the asshole called Tim when I got grabbed instead by someone-
Something.
From my right leg, I was dragged through the dirty motel room and into the open bathroom at such high speed and force, almost flying.
"Eh ah-ha- AHHHHHH--" I screamed as I was thrown into the cold disgusting bathroom floor.
I heard one of the men yelling.
"WHAT THE--" It was Tim, the asshole.
Taking a minute to comprehend what just happened, I raised my head and looked outside the bathroom door to see the two men standing there, both shock and confusion fell on their faces as they stared at me.
"W-what just-" I breathed and I didn't get to continue, instead I jumped in my place when the wide open door and the only thing between me and the men Closed.
SLAM-
Fear and panic took over me, what just locked me inside a motel bathroom.
As I pushed my back into the smelly tub behind me, I heard a voice. A familiar voice.
A voice I despise.
"Look who finally showed up."
I looked up at the figure that appeared in front of me. Oh, it's It, the bastard red-eyes.
"I-I...y-you-...YOU--"
"Where.the.fuck.where.you." Red-eyes hissed.
That's odd, why would it ask me that?
It always knew where I've been or doing.
We are connected by contract.
"W-what?...what--"I tried to collect myself and get off the filthy floor.
"Oh ho ho, I'm not one of your tasks- DON'T need play dumb, dearest. Answer me, where the fuck were you." It demanded.
I truly had no idea what it was talking about until I heard heavy knocking on the door then it came to me. I looked past it at the door and then back at it. "I-...Y-you want to know?! WHY DON'T YOU ASK THEM?! Huh?! I have been- STILL AM kidnapped and held hostage!! And it's all your damn fault- the question is where were YOU!?--"
It grinned widely and laughed.
"Would you look at this- how about I do your damn job for you too HUH?!"
I felt the air inside my lungs tighten.
The bastard is choking my insides.
As I gasped for air, I held into the nasty sink for support. "Y-you-..I-I'm D-DONE! T-the last t-task is com- completed! I-it's over-"
It clapped in amusement and laughed.
"Hahaha, oh dearest, It's not over till I say so. You are wrong. Your task is never over as long as Chris Mitchell walks." It said then added "Oh and guess what," it took a look at the door that seemed to break any minute now from all the knocking and yelling on the other side. It turned back to me with a grin on its face. "I see you made some friends, how adorable- I like what they did to you, fine work." It said looking me up and down, hinting at my appearance.
"It's too bad that they work for another, would've offered them a deal instead of your useless ass." It said.
How nice to know after all these years I've worked for it's ass, that I'm useless.
But wait, what did it say again? Worked for another? What does that mean?
"W-what do you m-mean..?"
"Oh dearest, I mean I've got some competition." It grinned. "And no other is having what's mine. That brat's soul just got better, it is mine And you are going to get it to me."
I can feel my lungs loosen up a bit.
"-yeah? A-and h-how am I supposed to when t-they're-" The bathroom's window slammed open, and my breathing got better.
"There, aren't I so generous?~" It said.
Only when it benefits you big time.
"Ah-...how am I supposed to--"
"Figure It out. Now go get me that brat's soul and stay out of the woods." It added before vanishing into thin air.
Thanks for nothing then!
And why it asked me to stay out of the woods, it's not like I plan in going back there again.
This whole conversation only took seconds and after it left, my attention turned back to the door, which is on the verge of breaking. I can hear one of the men- Tim the asshole, shouting as he tried to take the door down.
Great, he's breaking my neck next.
This is it, this is the opportunity I was waiting for, I turned back to the window and looked out, I can see the back of the motel and I found myself smiling at what I saw next.
"Boy oh boy! Finally--"
It's a fire escape ladder.
"Oh thank god.." never thought I'd be this happy to see a ladder, I let out a sigh of relief and wasted no more time. As I stood on the edge of the tub, I placed both of my hands outside the window, holding into the ladder, and pushed myself up and out of the window.
I took my steps down the ladder off to freedom. The moment my feet hit the ground, I bolted the hell out of there.
Running, I kept running.
The first thing that came to my mind is that I need to get to my car, I thought.
I need to get to my car, get to Chris Mitchell, and then get the hell out of this town.
As I ran Passed the park near the motel and made it to a busy road, I almost got hit by a speeding car just as I was about to cross the road.
How nice, I thought.
Just when I started to think my luck changed.
Out of fear and since I was already in a state of panic, I tripped on my own in front of the car, which thankfully stopped just in time not to crash me to death.
"AH!- oh my god--" I fell face first, it's good I had my hands up front to support my fall, I landed on them instead of my face on hard cement.
As I immediately got myself up because I remembered that I'm on the run, I heard the driver's door open and turned to give the guy a piece of my mind-
"J-JESUS- a-are you alright?!--" It was a boy, and he seemed stressed enough, as he should be when he almost ran me over.
"YOU ALMOST RAN ME OVER DUMBASS!!"
I yelled at him.
The boy started apologizing like no tomorrow, and I almost started walking away because again, I need to get away from here as soon as possible, but as I turned to leave my eyes fell on the person sitting in the passenger seat.
Perhaps it's my birthday today and I forgot about it, or maybe my luck did change for the better after all.
My jaw dropped and my eyes widened in surprise as I stared back at the boy sitting in the passenger seat.
Well if it isn't the one and only...
Chris fucking Mitchell.
