This is my contest entry for QueenGlory2016 contest to draw an oc in some kind of apocalyptic environment. I chose to do a disease outbreak.

The disease is called Draco Rot Plague. The virus starts off in a host causing a cough and sneeze for 7 hours, aiding in the spread of the virus. Once the 8th hour starts, the virus starts to kill. The first symptom is fever and weakness. Next green boils form over the scales. These boils burst releasing virus infected blood. Then the dragons insides begin to melt and the tips of the limbs turn green. As the dragons last moments come, they cough up their melted insides as they die around the 9th hour of infection.

This disease only affect the dragons, but other animals that come into contact with the infected and also spread the disease. The virus has a long lifespan. It can live without a host for about a year before it dies.
