POLICE STATION, LONDON UK

The Relevant One and the Young Officer sat, handcuffed behind their backs, in chairs at the station. The police sat on their phones, contacting their emergency contacts and others as the two waited patiently. They had explained the situation many times already to several different people. And although they were seen as innocent by ninety percent of the police, they were still handcuffed. The chief got off the phone and apologized for the trouble, having two of his men unlock the Relevant One and Young Officer. They thanked him and assured that it was no trouble even though it was. They left without any more trouble.

Back on the streets and in the rain, the two found a cheap hotel and bought a room. When they fell asleep, they dreamt of a small, young girl screaming in terror at a woman who seemed to be floating and shooting fire or light out of her eyes. The young girl faded suddenly, leaving the two with the woman. She turned towards them and they saw what was making the girl scream. The woman looked horrifying. Her mouth made it look like she was screaming even though no noise was coming out, and her eyes were indeed leaking light. The Relevant One held the Young Officer’s hand for comfort as the woman came closer. Just as she was close enough to touch them, they woke up with a gasp.
