Dereck's Pov:

The hotel manager led us to our room. My eyes widened and I gasped. We had a private luxury bungalow literally on the water. As in we walked down a pier and our 'room' was on stilts eight feet above the clearest blue water I'd ever seen.

"Mrs. Ford arranged all of this months in advance. The itinerary of the attractions she's signed you gentlemen up for is on the bed. Complimentary breakfast will be delivered every morning at the time you designate. We have an excellent lunch buffet and different entertainment in the main hall every night during dinner service. However there are many wonderful restaurants on the islands. Dialing 1 on the phone will take you straight to your personal concierge. If you need anything I am at your service enjoy your holiday gentlemen."

"Thank you." Vin said handing him a tip.

When he walked out we looked around and I was stunned stupid. The bathroom had a huge sunk in double tub and the king size bed with the light fluttery canopy dominated the main room. The furniture was plush and the art around the room was beautiful without overriding the ocean view from the floor to ceiling wall of glass on one wall that led out to our private balcony.

I smiled at the fruit and cheese platter and bottle of chilled champagne. Next to it was an was a sealed envelope. I picked it up and opened it and tears immediately filled my eyes. I blinked them back and walked over to Vin and wordlessly handed him the letter.

Vin's Pov:

Dare handed me a piece of paper and wrapped his arms around me from behind. I looked down and gulped.

Dear Vinny and my future son in law Dereck,

I just popped over here on my way home from the south of France. I had to make sure all my demands were met and I'm standing here smugly because I was right. You boys are going to have a blast here. I know this is a romantic spot so I left plenty of time for you two to get down and dirty but you boys have to come up for air sometime and I've arranged for you to have all the best adventures.

You're only young and hopelessly in love once so live it up and make some unforgettable memories. All I ask is that you two silly beans not get arrested for public indecency or something as crazy as that. Don't try to adopt any of the local wild life and sneak it back into the country. Don't adopt any children, there'll be plenty of time for that when you two finish college and DO NOT ELOPE or you'll have a very large and very pissed off family waiting to smack you up side your heads when you get home. We all want to be there and celebrate with you when you take that leap.

I love you both so much and I can't tell you how much the last few months have meant to me. Have fun and take care. See you when you get back. I want to see all the non-pornographic pictures.

Now I have to run my flight is leaving soon and I still need to make a few calls to finalize Samantha and Ariel's summer trip to Europe. I've been scoping out the best places for those two and have everything almost as perfect as your trip. Don't tell them it's a surprise.

P.S. On the very possible chance you two decide to get your freak on (I think that's what Ariel was calling sex?? Anyway I mean having sex.) out in nature somewhere, make sure you apply sun screen to your tushies. A burnt ass is not pleasant at all. I learned that from one of the nude beaches in Europe.

I shook my head and let out a little laugh. "That was really nice but I didn't need to know she went bare assed at a beach in Europe."

Dare laughed and smirked. "You're mom was an amazing woman. I can't believe she stopped here just to make sure everything was perfect and the note... It's sweet and quirky and you have something that was..." He shrugged

"I know, it was great reading that. It was like she was here again and being her silly weird self. Can you believe she said not to adopt kids, animals or get arrested or married. " I laughed a little.

Dare snorted. "She sooo knew you. Now how about we check out the itinerary she worked so hard setting up."

He grabbed the paper and plopped down on the bed. He quirked an eyebrow and smiled. "Oh yeah, we're gonna have some serious fun. "

"What's on it?"

"We have jet skiing, para sailing, kite sailing, kayaking, scuba diving along the reefs. Oh hell yeah, she has us signed up for diving with sharks... Ohh well we're gonna be in a cage so that sucks a little but still, that's cool. I wanna feed a shark."

I laughed and climbed onto his lap. "Since when do you wanna play with man eating death machines?" I asked taking the paper away and skimming over it.

"You watched Jaws way too many times as a child. Sharks only attack humans on accident and are you really trying to tell me you're not up for cage diving?"

I rolled my eyes. "I'm always up for everything." I cooed grinding on him. He moaned softly and I smirked and jumped up.

"Let's see, we have a day trip too on a boat to all the surrounding islands. Oh a couples massage, I'm definitely looking forward to that. An unguided trek through the wild life preserve with a catered lunch at the waterfall on one of the neighboring islands. Hmm that sounds like the perfect time to use the sun block on our tushies. I bet if we start on our list now we can finish it in three days and then have the other five days to lay on the beach and take turns rubbing"

Dare laughed and threw a pillow at me. "I must be really f*ckin hot cause I swear you were never this much of a horn dog before we got together."

I caught the pillow and tossed it to the side and leaned over him making him fall back on his elbows. I rubbed his nose with mine and spoke against his lips. "I was going to say rubbing sun block on each others back. So who's the horn dog? I say rubbing and your mind automatically jumps to sex. But you're very right you are incredibly sexy and it's really not my fault that you seduce me so easily."

He flipped us and straddled my waist. "We have a little over an hour before our jet skiing starts. How about we.... go for a swim." He laughed and jumped off and threw all his clothes to the floor and ran out of the glass patio door and dove off the balcony into the water.

I gaped at him and shook my head. I stripped and dove in. When I broke the surface warm arms wrapped around my waist and Dare's legs wrapped around me. He kissed my neck and pushed off.

"We have an hour, if you want me you have to catch me!" He called before he dove underwater. I grinned and gave chase. In minutes I had him pinned to one of the thick wooden stilts that supported our bungalow.

He grinned and pulled me into a heated kiss. He trailed kisses to my jaw and down my neck then up to my ear. He nipped it then gave it a slow lick to sooth the sting. I groaned and tightened my grip on his hips.

"Mmmm we haven't done it in the ocean yet have we?" He whispered. Then before I realised what was happening he ducked down and I felt his hot mouth engulf me. I braced myself on the wooden stilt and groaned. I needed him... now, no more teasing.

We spent the last day of our spring break just relaxing on the beach. Dare sat between my legs and rested back against my chest.

"We should just move here. We could become trained to actually swim with sharks and then we could get a big tank and breed them and have pet great whites." He laughed and patted my chest.

I thumped his arm. "It wasn't that funny. Any normal 'sane' person would jump when a huge ass shark tried to eat his f*ckin hand!" I defended.

He nodded and bit his lip. "But we were in a cage and the shark was like less then a hundred pounds and a good two feet from you and you jumped anyway and hit your face on the freakin metal bars. Face it babe we finally found something that the invincible balls of steel Vin Ford is a ch-ch- chicken at!" He cracked up and I smiled.

I didn't mind him making fun of me because I know he doesn't mean it and besides I'd make a fool out of myself a million times over just to see him smiling and laughing like that. But turn about was fair play and I loved when I teased him and he blushed. A blushing Dare is hella sexy.

"You're one to talk. You jumped like half a mile when you thought a snake was...." I started laughing and kissed his flame red cheeks.

"Hey that was totally legit. That stupid cater waiter said their were freakin snakes in the water! I freaked when I felt it against my thigh!" He defended.

I laughed even harder. "I know baby, I know. But you were naked and I was naked and we were gonna play a little 'water polo' It was too funny when you jumped and screamed like a girl. It was only my anaconda!" I cracked up and he punched my arm and flipped over so we were face to face. He grinned.

"This was an amazing trip and joking aside it was the best week of my life. It was nice just you and me and no phones constantly ringing or idiot sexually confused friend drama. Just us."

I leaned up and kissed him. "My thoughts exactly baby. But we're almost done. Renovations to the Ford Estate are just about finished and will be done in time for the Gala in a month. Once that happens life will slow back down. Plus we only have like a month and a half of school left and then its you and me all summer. I've already met the perfect person for the day to day running of Veronica's Safe Haven."

He rolled his eyes. "Not what I meant idiot. Even when we finish with all that. The next chapter of our life is going to start. I just meant it was nice to get away and have a little you and me time. In fact I think I'm going to make it a rule. Every few months even if it's just for a weekend you and I are going to get away and relax. Turn our phones off and forget the rest of the world exists."

I rolled him under me and ran my hand through his hair. "Best idea you've ever had. I love you Dare."
