- 1st person.

"you look happy to see me." taerae chuckles, noticing my tired state walking out of the door.

"shut up." i say, getting into the passenger seat. i put on my seatbelt and i take my phone out to connect to the aux without asking him. "how long is the ride?"

"maybe half an hour, you can sleep if you want. i have a lot of energy so i'll be fine." he says softly, turning up my music.

ironically, japanese denim by daniel caesar was playing. which is the song that we were supposed to do a duet to tomorrow. he looks at me and smiles, "nice song choice."

"i hate this song now." i sigh.

"come on, it's our singing song. we're going to record this tomorrow aren't we?" he chuckles.

"you make it sound so romantic."

"that's the point, doah."

"you're actually annoying."

"that's not what you said earlier~" he teases.

"oh my god i hate you." i roll my eyes and cross my arms, looking out of the window. i wasn't in the best mood at this time as he could tell compared to him. he actually had energy and i wouldn't have gone out at this time. but it's the guy i like so i had to.

i yawn and my eyes start to close to the music. i could sleep for half an hour and i think i'd be fine to be in the library with him.

later.

"doah?" i hear taerae's voice and a finger poking my cheek. "lee doah get up~"

i yawn and open my eyes, his face was way closer than i had thought and i gulped. "uh, sorry." i awkwardly say, taking off my seatbelt and getting out of the car.

"no worries, sorry to wake you up. i just really want to take you here." he smiles, taking my hand and dragging me into a beautiful looking library. it was quite big and it didn't look too busy.

i was too tired to actually figure out the fact he was actually holding my hand. i had no thought on it.

we walk in and the reception was right at the front, a middle aged man was sat typing on a computer and taerae walks towards him and clears his throat.

"ah, taerae! what brings you here at this time?" the man asks, then his eyes glance to me and then to our intertwined hands. "is this the girl you were telling me about—"

"ANYWAY!" taerae says quite loudly. "i'm just here to take her here since she likes reading, that's all. hope you don't mind, uncle." he smiles.

the man nods and smiles at me, "get whatever you want, young lady. if you're close to taerae you can get anything for free."

i shake my head, "no, it's fine. thank you uncle." i smile before taerae drags me away to the corner of the library.

"you know how you have your spot in the campus library? this is mine in my uncle's library." he smiles.

"you don't even read?" i laugh.

"i go here to calm down if i have problems, i came here a lot when jungmin was coming back." he explains, giving me a pillow for the chair.

i thank him and nod at him, "so your comfort place is a library? that's cute."

he rolls his eyes, "whatever. anyways, pick as many books as you want. it's all on me."

we get up and he grabs my hand again as he leads me around the huge library. towering shelves were everywhere and it felt so scary yet so comforting.

it's cute to know taerae likes the library as much as i do, even if he wasn't much of a reader. we really do have quite a lot in common.

i stop by a shelf and grab a book, "wait i love this book!" i exclaim, making taerae turn to me.

"oh don't you have this one? performer?" he asks, looking at the cover. "your old obsession?"

i nod, "one of my favourites." i put it back on the shelf, "it was so angsty but i kind of loved it."

he nods intently and smiles, "you're cute when you talk about books."

i scoff, "shut up." i drag him somewhere else, "let's collect me some more books then i want some coffee."

he chuckles at me, "okay doah. whatever you want."

i ended up dragging him to every corner of this library and i picked up three books: manager, love again and discipline. (888neptunez self promo era pt2)

"god i thought you were the one to get tired, not me." taerae complains. "i've been holding your hand for the past hour and i feel like it's gone numb."

i look at him, holding hands? i look down and i now realise our hands were holding the whole fucking time. i gulp in embarrassment but i don't let go.

"well, keep it that way. we're almost done." i smile, dragging him to the reception to see his uncle there again.

"can i borrow these three please?" i ask him, placing the three books on the counter.

he looks at them and looks back up at me, "oh you can keep these, actually." he smiles.

i frown, "no it's okay i'll borrow them."

"no, please. keep them. i heard you love this series and new copies come in soon anyway." he says, pushing the books towards me.

i look at taerae who was just grinning, "yeah i told him, just keep them. i promise you he won't care."

i nod at him and sigh. "fine, but i feel bad uncle."

he shakes his hand, "no need. it's a treat for taking care of my nephew taerae." he smiles, "get a coffee or something, you must be tired."

i nod. "thank you so much, uncle. i'll figure out how to pay you back one day."

"taerae can you go get her some coffee?" he asks, taerae nods and walks away to the small café at the other side.

taerae's uncle leans towards me, "the only thing you can do to pay me back is to make taerae happy." he leans back into his chair and sends me a thumbs up.

i look at him in shock but i nod, "okay... i will. i promise to pay you back uncle!" i grin.

he smiles and hands me the books, "enjoy reading these, and have fun with taerae!"

i bow at him and as if on cue, taerae comes back to me with some coffee and snacks, "thank you uncle, we'll get going now." he smiles.

he waves at us and we both walk out smiling at each other. "your uncle is so cute and sweet." i say, getting into the car.

"of course, he's the best." taerae chuckles, but he doesn't get in the car. "give me a second, i think i forgot to give my uncle something. stay here." he smiles.

i nod and i sit in the car, looking out of the window and taking sips of my coffee. the sun was rising and it was almost 5am. the sky looked beautiful.

i turn back to the side when taerae comes back in, "where do you want to go now? i can take you home." he offers.

i shake my head, "let's go somewhere nice, the sun's rising. we can watch it together." i suggest.

he smiles at me, "sounds perfect." he puts his seatbelt on and grabs my hand as he looks at me, "i'm glad you enjoyed the library."

i can feel my cheeks getting hot. "uh huh.. yeah i did. thank you taerae." i chuckle.

he doesn't let go of my hand and he starts to drive somewhere. i was facing out of the window again so i didn't have to make eye contact with him.

"it might take a while, but i know where to go." he says. i hum in response and turn up the music. i must say the atmosphere in this car was really nice.

this was probably one of my best times with taerae since the whole jungmin and sunwoo situations. it felt like that made a huge barrier between us, and now that we're all close again, i feel great to be with him.
