i grab the water i had just bought from the vending machine and smile. i think i am properly ready to confess to doah. after that one call where we talked all night, we got closer and closer and we've hung out so much since then. and i think i really am sure i like her.

i've been thinking about her and the whole thing for a long time now, and i was 80% sure she likes me back. i just hope it goes well. i'm planning to do it on the day of taehyun's party and do it at a quiet place with just me and her.

anyways, as i was waiting for doah, i walk towards the library since that's where we always meet. it was really early and most of group 1 weren't on campus so there was only a few dozen people in the building at the moment.

right before i was going to take a left, i get stopped by someone. she smiles at me and i groan. i mentally curse myself for stopping straight away.

jungmin smiles wider, "you said you'd speak to me, didn't you?"

i sigh, "yeah.. what do you want?" i just want to get this over with.

"well i just want to tell you how much i missed you. i moved here for you and we haven't talked in a long time."

"uh huh." i nod.

"i really miss you taerae. i miss what we had. we were so good." she pouts, walking closer towards me. but not too close to the point i'd tell her to piss off.

"we weren't good, you were treating all of my friends like shit. especially chaehyun." i explain, my arms crossed.

she scoffs, "chaehyun was useless. i can't believe you chose her over me."

"i literally told you me and chaehyun are cousins." if it was like a movie, i would facepalm right now. how stupid can she be.

"okay so? girlfriend over family." she shrugs.

"okay... so what are you here for besides telling me you miss me?"

"oh, you know, doah." she sighs. "she's a little too fragile, too sensitive and boring. she literally reads books by herself for a living how could you like that?"

"she may be sensitive but she's better at having a conversation than you are, and so what if she reads books by herself? there is literally nothing wrong with that."

jungmin glares at me, "you are so different. you would never go for a girl like her. she's nothing like me. going from me to her is a downgrade."

my mouth opens agape, i was going to defend her but the bitch decides to talk some more shit before i could even say anything.

i was really happy today. besides the whole sunwoo thing i was so excited. i was having a study date with taerae AND my brother managed to almost somewhat bag his crush. life is going too perfect right now.

yeah, too perfect right now.

i walk towards the library since that's where i would normally meet taerae, my airpods were blasting some dpr until i was really close to the library. i start to take them out and then i hear a really familar voice speaking.

"you are so different. you would never go for a girl like her. she's nothing like me. going from me to her is a downgrade." jungmin's voice.

i walk towards the voice which was the left right next to the library and i spot her talking to taerae. she makes eye contact with me and looks back up to taerae. they were obviously talking about me.

before i could ask what was happening, she decides to speak. about me. can this girl get a break of having me in her mouth too much i swear to god.

"like she's so sensitive. you once said you hated people like that, remember? like you said that you hate people like that because they're a burden." she says.

okay, rude???

"i've changed taerae. i really want you back. but it just hurts me so much when you're with her. and did you know sunwoo told her he loved her yesterday? crazy right? she didn't tell you.."

"jungmin—" taerae tried to speak.

"she's been lying to you. she literally liked sunwoo when you began talking. she was leading you on. it's obvious she's using you to get over him, can't you see that?" she scoffs. "you can even ask her brother or her friends. she's liked sunwoo only until last month when you were on your second date. she just wants to replace sunwoo and who else would be perfect to use other than his own cousin?"

i walk towards them in anger but i get pulled away by someone. i turn to the side and hanbin is there telling me to shut up. "don't go up to them." i try to argue back but she starts to talk again.

"taerae you've been so oblivious. even all of her friends have been shipping them together. you're clearly not the only one. she's playing you."

"what is she even talking about?" hanbin whispers.

"making lies up." i whisper back, getting more pissed off.

"and come on now, she's ugly. she wears too much makeup, posts all of the time, leeches of her brother's popularity to get boys. she used to have admirers and apparently she was also really rude to them. she's just an attention seeker. and since i've known you for five years, taerae i know that girls like that aren't your type. she's just using you to get popularity and shit." she laughs.

"jungmin please—"

"taerae look at me." she demands. "you'd rather go with some weird girl who's never had any love life and only does things for popularity than me?"

"j—" it was obvious he was trying to get out of the conversation but she stops him by pulling his face towards hers.

i gasp and then my mouth goes dry. hanbin looks at me in concern. "wait doah you know she did it on pu—"

i start to walk away. i know that she's doing all of this to piss me off but i genuinely can't take it anymore. she's such a selfish bitch.

hanbin walks behind me in a hurry, "doah!!"

"hanbin don't. i'm just going to um visit my brother okay? i'm fine, trust me." i say, walking faster than ever out of this god damn campus.

i knew where i wanted to go now. as i get out the campus and i begin to run. yes, that's really fucking embarrassing as i am crying over something pathetic but i needed my adrenaline to go up.

i'm continuously running my tits off and i felt like i was about to collapse. i didn't really care if i was getting judged at this point as all i care about is getting to where i needed to go.

my destination was usually an hour walk, and i was non stop running. no breaks, no water, no nothing. all i was doing was running with the slightest bit of energy left hoping i arrive perfectly.

as soon as i reach the house, i knock continuously. a little bit too loud but i was completely out of breath. i felt like my body was about to give way and i don't think my fists had the strength to properly knock anymore. my knees felt weak and i kind of fell at the doorstep. i pant uncontrollably hoping he would just open the fucking door.

as i felt like i was about to faint, the door opens. sunwoo looks at me in confusion and he notices my state. "doah? aren't you supposed to be in uni?" he asks, holding my arms to let me walk in.

as he locks the door he turns to me. "did you run here?" i nod. "doah my house is like an hour away what the hell?" he panics, leaning down to fix my hair and remove the sweat from my forehead.

"don't do that again." he says strictly. "you might faint at any point. i'll give you something to eat and drink or medicine if you like."

as i was about to respond, i feel my body feeling weak. i look at him slowly, struggling to even breathe and then i accidentally lean towards him. i felt vulnerable. as my body collapsed towards him, i notice my face fall onto something where i sense my lips touching something else.

and everything went black.
