"um, hi." i awkwardly say. i forgot we haven't really been properly calm since the argument and this is the first time i'm going to hear his voice since then.

he was in his bed with messy hair and some sort of hoodie on, his glasses were on and he was laying down, slightly smiling at me through the phone. "okay hold on." he sighs.

i couldn't help but just stare at him. i loved his tired voice, and i just loved looking at him. there was nothing that could make me break up with this guy, and i'm always scared that he wants to. obviously since he got so mad at me.

"well there was something that happened when jungmin and i were dating.." he starts, watching me comfortably move to listen better. "there was a lot of issues with trust."

i nod. i kind of figured it out, he was clearly really upset when i didn't tell him. like anyone else would be of course, but it was obvious he reacted more than i thought he would.

"let's just say jungmin cheated on me." he slowly looks at the camera to see my expression that was only a little shocked; i wasn't surprised. "my parents were the ones who caught her, and she got really rude to them about it."

"she was telling them i gave her some bruises for an excuse and she ended up having some sort of issues with that kind of thing that i never knew about." he sighs. "she was just blaming all of it on me and i was still confused since she never told me about what she was going through."

"what?" i gasp, "she told your parents that?"

he nods. "i was upset since she never told me about them. even though i found out that the bruises she got were from the guy she was cheating on me with, i wouldn't wish that on anyone. which is why i was really worried about you."

hearing this made me almost cry. he was only worried for me because jungmin was going through something similar. i didn't tell him and now that i know some sort of backstory, it makes so much sense why he was mad. i feel bad, but i obviously am still hurt from that small argument.

"turns out she cheated on me because she felt i 'didn't give her enough love.' which was wrong since i was really nice to her back then.. but the guy she cheated on me with was abusing her yet he was way more better than i was anyway."

this was something i've never even known about ever. nothing i'd expect from someone like her, and i'm starting to feel bad already. jungmin was just someone else who was going through something horrible like that. but i'm still not going to feel entirely sorry, she still did fucked up things.

"he was perfect compared to me. i'm the one that was more cute and lovey but he was one of those boys that all girls would die to get with, and it was obvious that they were sleeping with each other or something."

well that was predictable if i'm honest. taerae is the guy that is just really sweet and cute, whereas some other girls just want guys that they can sleep with. which isn't our case of course.

"but even after the cheating and how she blamed me wrongly of giving her bruises, was rude to my friends, treated my parents like shit and even treated chaehyun like shit. i was still nice to her, but i broke up with her too. i was still being really kind to her because i felt bad. but knowing she never told me anything made me lose feelings quickly."

"that kind of explains why she was obsessed with
you.. since you were still so nice to her after that, she must of thought she had another chance." i say, making him nod. "i'm so sorry you had to go through that.."

he smiles. "it's nothing. i never really opened up about the deep part of it to anyone besides your brother."

i get up. "you told donghyuck?" i ask in shock.

"he asked, and i trust him so i told him. he told me to explain it to you after since he said it would explain how i feel more."

"what did he say about it?"

"he said 'well that was an unexpected way for a break up.' cause he thought it was something different."

i take a few seconds to stare at him. i felt awfully bad for him and jungmin. "i'm sorry."

he laughs, "why are you apologising? you didn't do anything doah."

i shrug. "i just made you out to be some dickhead who was mad at me for hiding something like that."

he waves his hand in denial. "i understand why you did anyway. i spoke to your brother about it and it's all fine, as long as you won't break up with me."

i smile at him. "what makes you think that?"

he shakes his head. "nothing. can i come over now?"

i laugh, "okay fine. but you're gonna need to give me more answers about jungmin and everything."
