I turned around slowly while praying within so that it won't be someone important or a senior that it hit because if it was.

The gala would be gone and I don't even want to think about the rest.

I finally turned around completely and my eyes met Ola rubbing his face slightly while holding my gala in his other hand.

My friends were laughing at me wondering what he would do,as if it wasn't because of them I did bonanza.

He walked over to me.

"You're the one that threw this."He said.

"I'm so sorry,honestly I didn't know that---"I started but he caught me off.

"Did I say I was angry?"He chuckled."I should be thanking you cause I was actually feeling hungry."He said twirling the gala in his hands.

See this boy oh.

"Better give me back."I let out my hand trying to look intimidating.

"No."He said.

"Give me joor."I said and he chuckled.

He reached into his pocket and brought out a five hundred naira note.

"Instead of doing bonanza with one,buy for all of them."He said trying to hand me the money.

I didn't tell him I needed it so why is he giving me?

"I don't want your money,besides it's fun."

Just because you have the money doesn't mean you should have the impression that you're the only reach one.

I wanted to say but I didn't.Maybe he didn't realize what he did.

"Suit yourself,what's your name?"He asked

"Darasimi but you can call me Dara."I told him.

"Okay Dara,see you later."And with that he started walking off.

"My gala now!"I called.

And guess what he did,he through the gala at me making it hit my face and I could her him laughing,wait it was not only him,my friends were laughing too.

Payback hurts.

I don't think I like him.

"So why are you guys laughing at me now?"I questioned placing my hands on my hip.

"Abeg shift."Toyo pushed me to the side and took the gala from the floor.

This girl sha.

"Better don't fall for that boy."Kiitan said and the rest nodding simultaneously.

"Did I tell you I liked him?"

"Just saying,you can't trust people nowadays."He shrugged.

The school bell rings indicating the fourth and last period of the day,thankfully.

"Bye guys we have chemistry now."Toyosi and Kiitan left and we left for Government too.

"Is mummy here yet?"Funmi asked as we both waited in the parking lot.

"As you can see she's not."I said stating the obvious and she rolled her eyes as stuck her tongue at me.

"It's looks like someone wants to talk to you."She said pointing behind me and I turned around to meet Ola.

"Hey."He said shining his teeth at me.

"Why are you here?"I asked.

"It's the end of school and I also want to go home like you guys."

I wanted to face palm myself for asking that type of question.Obviously he's at the parking lot waiting for his parents.At least that's what I thought until I saw him bringing out car keys from his jeans.

"You have a car?"I asked him,jaws dropping.

"Uh...yeah,is that a bad thing?"

"No no,I was just wondering that's all."I said

Even though I'm rich my parents wouldn't even try to give me car,in Ss2 oh.I guess some people are different sha.

"Do you want me to give you a ride?"His voice brought me out of my thoughts.

"Me?Sorry but my mum..."I started but he cut me off.

"Don't worry I get."He nodded.

Funmi nudged me on my arm.
"What?"I asked.

"Mummy is here."

"Oh."

"My mum's here."I told Ola.

"Wait before you go can I have your number?"I asked me and that's when mum decided to horn.

She'll start questioning me now.

"Uh...maybe another time."I said and he nodded giving me a small smile before walking away.

I actually wasn't even going to give him my number anyways.I just met him today and I don't even know if I want to be friends with him on not.

"Who's he?I haven't seen him before."Funmi asked as we walked over to the car.

"He's a new student."I said and she mouthed 'o' as we got into the car.

"Mummy good afternoon."We  greeted simultaneously.

"Good afternoon how was school?"

"Fine."

I was actually surprised that she didn't ask me about who I was talking to,maybe she didn't see me or maybe she has accepted the fact that there's no way a girl wouldn't have a boy as a friend.

When we got home I immediately went to my room and laid on the bed not even bothering to take a shower.I took my phone from the little drawer at the bedside.

I don't take my phone to school because of my mum,it's like she sees everything or has watchdogs over me.

I checked my WhatsApp and I had tons of messages especially from group chats.I've been added to more than enough and it can be so annoying some times.

Funmi suddenly barged in.

"I know it's also your room but couldn't you at least try not to break the door?"I asked and she rolled her eyes.

"Anyways,you wouldn't believe this."She said with a beam.

"What?"

"Daddy is back."
