Here we see Danny and the others out on patrol only this time it was with Paulina. This isn't the first time Paulina would face ghosts. The other times, she was scared witless, but after some experiences and training with her girlfriend, she was actually feeling kind of excited about the prospect.

Sure, ghosts are dangerous, but she has grown a lot since the island, not to mention she has Danie here.

They were currently at the docks, the first stop of their patrol.

Paulina: So what exactly are we looking for?

Danny: Usually on patrol, we just explore town until my ghost sense activates, me and Danie find ghosts, we exchange witty banter, we kick ghost butt and then we go home, having done a job well done.

Danie: And occasionally learning a lesson at the end, mostly about honesty or something.

Paulina: Gotcha, *to Danny and Danie* So sense anything yet?

Sam: *Sarcastically* Obviously no, since neither of their ghost senses hasn't activated yet.

Paulina sent a glare at that, before deciding to ignore her. She is not going to let Manson rile her up, that's just what she wants.

Tucker: *Whispers* Remind me again, why aren't we splitting up?

Sam: *Whispers back* Shut it!

Usually, they split up to cover more ground, but Sam wasn't going to leave Paulina alone with Danie.

Not by a long shot.

The gang explored the docks for about 10 minutes...

Danny: Seems to be clear…

Just then Danny and Danie’s ghost senses suddenly acted up, much to Paulina's surprise.

Paulina: A ghost…

Danny: Just our luck…

Danie: Okay...just relax, be prepared and follow our lead

Paulina: Got it batata

Sam heard this and glared even harder at the latina.

Sam: *In her head* Is she saying that just to annoy me?!

The gang soon tried to search for the ghost.They soon found what they were looking for.

It was a bunch of ghostly eels, all haunting the south side of the docks. There are about 12 of them, medium size and looking pretty nasty.

Danny: Found them…

Danie: Come on, let's go fishing.

Danny and Danie flew into battle, wanting to get these ghostly eels under control. However, to their surprise, they are pretty quick and manage to dodge some of his blasts.

Danny: Okay...time to get serious..

Star: I hear you, Danny… *joins the fight*

Paulina: Right! *To Sam and Tucker * Come on guys. *Joins the fight*

Sam: *Mutters in annoyance* Who says she can give the orders?...

"Sam, not now..."Tucker said in annoyance as he went to assist Danny to get these slimy, slippery eel ghosts in line.

Sam rolled her eyes, while on the inside, she was smirking as she went to look at Paulina...

Sam: *In her head* "Maybe this won't be so bad...as soon as that little bimbo sees how tough fighting ghosts can be, she'll freak out and never come again…

Sam went to see how Paulina was handling her first official ghost fight as part of Team Phantom.

However, what she saw next stunned the gothic girl as she saw Star and Paulina use their cheer leading to dodge the ghosts, then pull out the dual lightsaber-like weapon Maddie Fenton once used and Paulina making a ecto construct of it.

And she then said this which only flabbergasted and irritated Sam even more.

Star and Paulina: Ready?! Okay!...  *uses it to strike the ghostly eels* We hate bad ghosts, yes we do! We hate bad ghosts, how about you?!

Star and Paulina continued to use their cheer-leading to dodge the attacks and as soon as they got a clear shot, they both  used their duel light-sabers to hit their targets.

Danny and Danie grinned at the sight of their girlfriends doing very well, and looking good while doing it.

Tucker sighed with jealousy.

Sam gritted her teeth.

Sam: *In her head* SERIOUSLY?!

Danie and Danny managed to capture all 12 of the ghostly eels and once they were safe inside the Fenton thermos, they turned to Star and Paulina.

Danny: Nice job Starlight.

Star: Thanks Danny-Boo~.

Danie: And you did great on your first official battle.

Paulina: Really? You mean it sweetie?

Danie: Totally, right guys?

Star: Yeah and nice use with the cheerleading Paulina.

Paulina: Heh thanks.

Tucker: I'll admit, you did handle those ghost eels pretty good.

Sam, however, had her arms crossed, while Paulina had a smug looking grin on her face.

Or it looked smug from where Sam was standing.

Sam: Come on guys...we got more ground to cover.

Paulina heard this and frowned hard at the goth girl's attitude, before shaking it off.

She was not going to let Manson get under her skin, this is her big night as an official member of Team Phantom. She's not going to let anyone spoil this for her.

Paulina: *In her head* Sam…

Paulina soon joined Danie and the others soon continued with their patrol.

Meanwhile, we see Carlos arriving back home after his shift, and he was tired, well tired and worried.

He hasn't heard from his daughter yet. Sure, he got a call from her a few hours ago when school let out and she said that she would be out with her girlfriend after her date but still, she is her only child after her step daughter Trixie, and while he trusts Della and Sierra, and Maria, he is still worried.

Carlos: *In his head* Maybe I should call and see that she is still alright? *quickly dialed the number.

After a few moments of ringing, there was an answer.

Paulina: *Over the phone* Hey papa.

Carlos: Hi sweetie...uh...how's everything? Are you okay? How was your date?

Paulina: *Over the phone* I'm fine, as for the other question my date went well, and I'm hanging out with Danie, Star, Danny and their friends.

Carlos: Oh...I see

This isn't the first time his daughter hung out with her friends while he is out of town, and he likes Danie well enough...but...

Carlos: Mind if I say hello?...

Paulina: *Over the phone* Uh...sure, I guess...hey babe, my dad wants to say hi to you?.

A few moments later, he heard another girl's voice on the phone.

Danie: *Over the phone* Hi Mr. Sanchez, how's things going with the police force?.

Carlos: Oh, Hi Danie...Everything is fine, it was a slow day and there wasn't much crime other than giving parking tickets so I went home early.

Danie: *Over the phone* Cool.

Carlos: Thank you...anyway, could you put Paulina back on...I need to speak to her about something...

A few moments later, Paulina was back on the line.

Paulina: *Over the phone* Yeah, dad?

Carlos: Paulina, you know I trust you but a date not even a day after I am out of town?

Paulina: *Over the phone* Papa, you never minded when I went on my dates before...besides, Sam, Star, Danny, and Tucker are here too, so it's not like a real date.

Carlos: Sam and Tucker? Oh, you mean that girl with the black clothes and the boy with the glasses?

Paulina: *Over the phone* The very same...if you want, I can put them on the phone...

He knew that his daughter was telling the truth when she said that, since she wouldn't offer that unless it's true.

Carlos: No, no need...anyway, I just called to check up on you...look, okay, you can spend time with your friends but remember to be home before curfew...just because I'm not there doesn't mean my rules aren't there.

Paulina: Papa, I told you that I would...chill out...I promise that I'll be home by curfew...and you have to relax and don't forget to get some rest, you got a big case tomorrow..you need to be focused on that...

Carlos: *Sighs* I know, princess...anyway, I'll talk to you later...

Paulina: Bye papa, love you...

Carlos: I love you too, princess...

He and his daughter ended their phone conversation.

Back In Amity Park

Once the phone conversation ended, a sweaty and tired Paulina had a sigh of relief.

Paulina: That was too close...

You see, after they dealt with the ghostly eels, they went to the park next and ended up facing a giant ghostly wolf. Danny and Danie managed to handle their own against it with a little assistance from Danny's loving and ghost-ready girlfriend, Danie's mutant subhuman girlfriend...and the other two guys. However, that was when Paulina heard her phone ringing and realized that it was from dad, and she knew from personal experience that when her dad makes a call, you'd better answer it or have a pretty darn good excuse for not answering.

Thankfully, Danie and Danny managed to catch the ghostly wolf in a thermos just in time for her dad to ask to speak to her

Danie: What's up with your dad?

Paulina: Nothing, he's just been extra protective lately and just wanted to remind me to be home on time.

Danie: I see.

Star: I can relate, my dad is overprotective too.

Paulina: Star your dad's a lawyer, my dad is a cop who will, possibly commit police brutality.

Danny: Take it from me, that guy is scary. *To Paulina* No offense.

Paulina: None taken.

That's when Sam and Tucker approached them.

Sam: So, what was so important that you stopped an important ghost battle to talk on the phone? *with her arms crossed*

Danny: It wasn't that important Sam, it was just a ghost wolf and we caught it without a hitch.

Sam: Not the point...who called?

Paulina: If you must know, it's my dad being overprotective again.

Tucker: I feel your pain…

Danny: Sam, you know that even in mid battle or not, parent calls can't be ignored *while Sam just crossed her arms*

Danie: Yeah the last thing we want is our parents worrying where we are. Although my moms aren't too worried since they know what we do.

Paulina pouted, before she smiled and went to Danie.

Paulina: Anyway Danie, I still got three hours until my curfew...so-

Before Paulina could finish, Sam spoke up...

Sam: Curfew? Well, I guess that you're out of luck, this is only the first shift of patrol? *in a smug sort of way*

Paulina: Excuse me?

Sam: Our ghost hunting duties don't end after curfew, sometimes we have to be out past midnight to face the ghosts...so, say goodbye to beauty sleep...unless you think you can't handle it… *in a smug sort of way*

Paulina heard that and frowned at that remark.

Paulina: I can handle it!

Star: Sam!  Paulina! Chill out! Sam, you know we only do that when we actually have a genuine threat on our hands that I can't catch before curfew.

Tucker: And most of the time, Danny goes solo since he sometimes forgets to call us...

Before Sam could say anything, Paulina spoke up again.

Paulina: Either way, I'm up for any challenge, any ghost, any place, any danger...just let me know and I'll be there..."Star said, trying to sound tough.

Danie: I believe you, babe and chill...you're part of the team now and you are doing great...let's just continue patrolling and once done, call it a night, right Danny?

Danny: Right.

Danie's girlfriend and her…female acquaintance were still with competitive looks on their faces.

Sam and Paulina: *In their heads* I'll show you...

Danny and Star didn't notice but Tucker and Danie did and sigh.

Tucker and Danie: *In his head* This is going to be a long night, isn't it?

Later on, we see Sam Manson was not in a good mood. No, scratch that…She was outright livid!

It's been over an hour of patrol and to her dismay, Star is still here.

Sam honestly had thought that she'd either A)Get scared from the ghosts and run away, B) Get tired from it all and call a quits or C)Prove to be so incompetent that Danie and Danny would have no choice but to see her as a liability to their team and drop her.

She didn't understand why none of that happened.

Danny and Danie were in the middle of sucking up the ghost of a giant squid, which Paulina had given quite a few blows with the hardlight Fenton light saber and Star with her saber a few moments earlier, when Star wrapped her arms around him in victory (again) and Paulina did the same with Danny

Star: Way to go, Danny-Boo...

Paulina: Nice job babe…

Danny: Same to you, you did great..

Danie: And the same goes to you Paulina.

Sam gritted her teeth at that.

She didn't want to admit it...but Paulina wasn't failing at ghost hunting like she had hoped she would. Not at all...

Sam: *In her head* I just don't understand...she's just a cheerleader who spends too much time on her manicure...how the heck is she good at this?...

Sam was thinking about Paulina 's earlier encounters with the ghosts.

And Danie  pretty much became a puddle of mush whenever she did a good job!

It's sickening!

FLASHBACK

Team Phantom had come to Floody Waters as it seems that Klemper was there once again, trying to make friends in a way that both terrified and annoyed anyone who crossed his path.

Klemper: WILL YOU BE MY FRIEND?! *landed across Team Phantom after he froze the vomit vortex*

Sam: So not happening…

Sam pulled out the Fenton Wrist ray, but not before Klemper sent a snowby blast in her direction, knocking her to the ground.

Sam got mad and got back up. She was about to shoot at him, but before she could get a shot at him, Paulina and Star came rushing in with her construct Fenton light saber and Klemper focused his attention on her.

Klemper: Please be my friend...

Klemper sent a blast at her, but she cartwheeled and managed to dodge it.

Paulina: Why don't you go get a puppy or something?.

Paulina and Star used their weapons  and knocked Klemper hard away...in the direction of Danie and  immediately pulled out the thermos and activated it when Klemper was out of it.

Klemper: WHY WON'T ANYONE BE MY FRIEND?!... *as Danie sucked him inside the thermos*

Once that was done, she landed next to Paulina and Star.

Paulina: You got him, Danie!

Danie: No, we got him...you did great… *which earned him a kiss on the cheek from her girlfriend*

Sam saw this and growled so much that the snow from Klemper that was on her was beginning to melt from the heat of her anger.

Later

After the incident with Klemper, they discovered that the Lunch lady was on another meat-related rampage at the Nasty Burger, apparently mad that they were having a tofu-soy melt special this week.

Lunch Lady; MEAT IS SACRED! IT'S THE MOST POWERFUL OF ALL THE FOOD GROUPS!... *used her powers to make another big meat monster and started to tear the place apart*

Danie and Danny: Oh, shut up!...

He and Danie sent blasts at her, while Tucker both tried to used his own blaster (and sneak some burgers when no one was looking).

Sam saw an opening, she was about to blast, only for this to happen.

Paulina: Hey meat-freak...didn't anyone ever tell you that only eating greasy food like yours can lead to an unwanted hospital visit? And straight to your hips!

Lunch Lady: GREASY?! MY FOOD IS NOT GREASY! IT KEEPS PEOPLE STRONG AND GROW FAST!..."sweet mode" Would anyone care for some cookies?...

Paulina: Sorry, but my dad told me never to accept food from weirdos...

Lunch Lady: THEN FEAST ON YOUR-...AHHHHH!.. “as she was being sucked inside the thermos”

Apparently, while Star's taunting had distracted her from the battle, Star took advantage of it to trap her.

Sam frowned hard when she saw Star, Danie and Danny,  praising Paulina for distracting the ghost...

Sam: What's the big idea? If I had a nickel for every time I had distracted a ghost, my family would be even richer than we are now...

Tucker: "Mmm...she might be crazy and this might be a little greasy, but it's not bad… *munched on some of the "left overs" of the battle, much to Sam's irritation*

Later

Soon they were at the post office, where the Box Ghost was trying to "liberate" some boxes.

Sam: Okay, Box Ghost, time to-

Sam didn't even had a chance to finish as Paulina just pulled out a thermos and sucked the Box Ghost Inside before he even had a chance to start his usual ranting.

Paulina: Got him!... *turned to Danie, Danny and Star who looked impressed of all things*

Danie: Your aim with the thermos is improving.

Paulina: All the special training you gave me really helps.

Danny: Improve nothing, your a natural with that thing.

Star: Yeah not bad Paulie.

Sam saw this and got even angrier.

Sam: Big deal...it's just the Box Ghost on her first try...anyone can do that...I mean, we've all done that like a hundred times at this point...

Tucker: Did you say something?... *having not taken his eyes off of his PDA since this was just a Box Ghost fight*

Sam got mad and out of anger, grabbed and empty, open box and placed it on Tucker's head, before angrily marching away.

The other's saw this and were confused.

Tucker: Was it something I said?... *with the box still on his head*

End Of Flashback

That's how it went all night and Sam couldn't take it.

Especially with Paulina now being in Danie's arms as she carried her and the tan girl grinning a mile wide, and Danny and Star doing the same while she and Tucker were walking behind them.

Sam: Um...why are they carrying them while we are walking?...

Danny: Star asked for a ride… *held Star bridal style*

Danie: *While holding  Paulina bridal style* Ditto with Paulina.

Star: I feel just like Lois Lane when you carry me like this, Danny-Boo…

Paulina: And I feel like a bride on her wedding day.

Danny sent her a smitten look.

Danny: I guess that what...makes me Superman?

Danie: And me being Supergirl.

Star: Well, there is something pretty super about you…

Paulina: And you…

Danny: Which is?

Star just gave him a quick kiss in response amd Paulina did the same, making it a rather sweet sight to some

Sickly sweet to others...

Sam: Grr… *gripped on her own Fenton thermos, denting it a bit but not breaking it*

Tucker saw this and sighed. He knew that it was hard on Sam to see Danny with her girlfriend but Paulina with Danie, what can they do?

They soon arrived at the park and Danny soon landed and placed Star on the ground and Danie did the same with Paulina.

Danny: Okay…I guess we pretty much covered the most common ghost attack areas..and it's only 8

Paulina: Man, I got to say Danie...this patrolling thing was kind of cool… *Changes back since no one was around*

Danie: You did perfect on your first night, baby..

Paulina: I tried my best...

Danie: Well, you succeeded...

Danny: And since it looks like we might actually have some free time before curfew...I think that's enough patrolling for tonight...let's go get a bite to celebrate your first night...

Paulina: Awesome...

Sam: Excuse me? Correct me if I'm wrong but since when do we celebrate a successful night of patrolling?.

Danny: Come on Sam, Paulina did a good job...besides, we would have gotten a bite if we had the time and money for it after patrol.

Sam: I don't remember taking Jazz out to celebrate on her first night of patrol.

Danny sent her a look.

Sam: Ok, bad example.

Paulina: What are you guys talking about?

Danny: Let's just say you did way better than my sister did on her first time.

Paulina: Hm, let me guess, she sucked you into the thermos multiple times, you blew up at her when she was trying to help, and in the end you two made up right?

Danny blinked in surprise and so did the others.

Danny: How did you know that?

Paulina: Telepathy. I read your memories.

Star: Since when could you do that?

Paulina: Since I figured out how to use the alien DNA in my Omnitrix without having to turn into them.

Sam: Oh big deal anybody could do that if they had that watch.

Tucker: Not if they were an Osmosian like Paulina.

Danie: Impressive, but remember babe-

Paulina: I know sweetie, I remember.

Star: Remember what?

Paulina: If I overdose on the alien DNA it'll make me lose control.

Sam: So why don't you use that magic watch all the time? *Smirks* Or are you just chicken?

Danny: Sam come on.

Sam: What? I'm just saying if Paulina used her magic watch then we would take down more ghosts easily.

Paulina: Okay first of all it's not magic, it's science, second the Omnitrix isn't a toy, it's a tool and a very, very powerful device. And besides, I only use the Omnitrix if it's an alien mission with Ben and Rook.

Danie: Ditto with the Spectertrix.

Sam: *Scoffs* Please if I had that watch-

Paulina: You would try to “change the world” and besides I use the Omnitrix responsibly unlike  some people who are reckless.

Sam: Hey!

Paulina: I was talking about Ben.

Sam: Yeah right…

Later on, we see Danie and Paulina walking home together as Danie notices the miffed look on her girlfriend's face.

Danie: Something wrong sweetie?

Paulina: Oh uh, it's nothing Danie.

Danie: Paulina I know something's wrong, come on tell me I'm your girlfriend.

Paulina: Well… it's Sam, ever since I joined Danny's team she's been giving me the stink eye. I apologized for everything I did, what else does she want?

Danie: Well she can be very stubborn, Star told me she and her didn't get along but now they kind of do.

Paulina: Yeah I know she told me.

Danie: Well just don't let it get to you, I know you and Sam don't exactly work well together but just bare with it.

Paulina: I'll try. It's nice to get that off my mind since I can't figure out a superhero name.

Danie: Hmm… how about Phantasma.

Paulina: Ooh sounds good. *Realizes* Oh man!

Danie: What's wrong?

Paulina: It was one of the hero names I was going through, I thought it would have been too obvious.

Danie: Well sometimes the obvious name is the easiest.

Paulina: True, *sighs* I really hope I don't lose it…

Danie: Hey come on, you've been training with your new powers ever since you got them, you have great control with them.

Paulina: You think so?

Danie: I know so.

Paulina: *Smiles* Thanks sweet potato.

Paulina kisses Danie on the cheek as Danie walks  her home.

Meanwhile we see Danny and Star walking home since Danny agreed to walk Star home tonight. Star was in thought, it took a long time for Sam to begrudgingly accept her into the group but Paulina was a whole other case.

Danny: Something on your mind Star?

Star: Huh? Oh uh, well I was just thinking…

Danny: About how Paulina did tonight?

Star: Yeah she did well, it's just if we had to split up and Danie wasn't here, how well do you think they'll work together?

Danny thought about that scenario as it went through his mind as his eyes widened a bit.

Danny: They probably would tear each other apart, or more specifically Paulina would tear Sam apart, but why do you ask? Don't you like having Paulina on the team?

Star: I do Boo it's just… it feels a little weird being chummy with someone who thought was your best friend but is just a shallow snob but is now a changed person thanks to someone making her see the error of her ways.

Danny: I know what you mean but Danie trusts her and now they're dating, and Paulina hasn't remotely done anything wrong ever since then.

Star: True, but if Sam did try to do something to get rid of Paulina…

Danny: Then Danie would go ballistic and turn Sam into roadkill.

Star: Yeah there's gotta be a way to get them to work together or at least get along.

Danny: *Yawns* Well I'm sure we'll think of something.

The two then kissed as Danny went ghost and went home as Star went inside thinking on what to do to get her friend to get along with Manson.
