And now the epic continuation:
---
Danny was shell shocked. Dash knew his secret. Two people in one day. It was bad because people are finding out way too quickly, it's not so bad because now he had more allies in keeping said secret. Sam had slipped into his room shortly after Mr Lancer left and let him know that Dash had figured it out. A while later Tucker crashed into his room dragging a disgruntled looking Dash behind him. "Blondie freakin knows!?" The bespectacled boy bellowed. Danny winced and covered his ears, it was too early for this crap... Or was it late? He wasn't sure when people stopped referring to the darkness of the new day as night. Sometimes Sam would refer to it a minute past midnight and other times it would still be 'night' a 3am. There seemed to be a pretty hazy line. He gazed at the blonde who'd been dragged in by the skinnier male. Dash was strong enough to pull out of Tuckers grip with enough force, the only one he'd struggle with in that sense was Danny who was stronger due to not being entirely human. With this notion Danny deduced that despite Dash's unhappy expression the quarterback had allowed the tech nerd to bring him over. As if to prove a point he pulled his football jacket sleeve out of Tucker's grip and stood sulkily near the door, but did not leave. It seemed to took slight offence to being called Blondie.
"Tuck, having a meltdown I see." Sam said with a shit eating grin. Seems she'd sent Dash to Tucker knowing full well the boy would panic.
"Oh, no. This is post-panic." Dash grunted. "It took twenty minutes to get to this stage."
"Not a peep out of you muscle-head!" Tucker hollered. Dash made a noise of annoyance at the name but fell silent. "Are we royally screwed?!"
"No Tuck, he came to me first remember. If we were royally screwed I'd have killed him and hidden the evidence. He's trustworthy. I think." Sam said with a shrug. Dash folded his arms and leaned back against the wall, looking up at the ceiling for no reason. However his eyes stayed glued there as he realised it was covered in a moving, twinkling depiction of deep space, stars, galaxies and planets floating in a void of black. It was beautiful.
"Is this a bad time to mention Mr Lancer knows too?" Danny said quietly. And they were back to meltdown Tucker. By the time they managed to calm the boy down it was nearing 2am. Tucker was trying to pull Danny as far away from Dash as he could, Dash was trying to not look offended, Sam was laughing her ass off and Danny just looked tired.
"Tucker... We've been over this. He's on our side." Danny murmured.
"I'll believe that when I see it." Tucker grumbled.
"You've been seeing it for the past few days. Months even. When was the last time you saw him hit me?" Danny asked selectively ignoring the wince from the rest of the occupants. "He's changed Tuck. Everyone deserves a second chance. If I gave Vlad one you can sure as hell bet I'm gonna give Dash one."
"Besides, allies in high places." Sam added. Tucker eyed his two best friends and then sighed.
"Fine. But let it be known, let it be written in the history pages, I do not like this. At all." Tucker huffed letting Danny have his arm back in one piece. Danny had been worried Tucker might have somehow ripped it off. But no, it was there, in tact and just a little bit stretched from the pulling. He bet his left arm was now longer than his right. He stretched out both his arms in front of him to check, slightly disappointed to find they were the same length. When Sam gave him a quizzical look he shrugged.
"Checking to see if Tucker made my arm longer." He explained lowering his arm.
"Danny... That's not how bodies work." She chuckled.
"Maybe he just wasn't pulling hard enough." Danny mused. He held his arm out to Tucker. "Try again."
"I'm not going to try and make your arm longer." Tucker sighed exasperatedly.
"You'd probably sooner dislocate your shoulder." Dash hypothesised. Danny frowned and looked at his arm.
"How is it we grow taller against the push of gravity? I mean imagine how tall we'd be without it. We'd be giraffe people." He stated.
"Looks like 3am Danny has visited a little early." Sam sighed, she noticed Dash looking at him like he'd hit his head. "He gets a bit strange when he's really tired. We should probably all head to bed."
"You guys..." Danny whined. "Don't leave me."
"We're just going to bed, Danny."
"Then get in my bed."
Tucker burst out laughing. "Poor choice of words buddy."
"Time for bed, you're tired." Sam said in an almost motherly tone.
"Yeah... But I don't want you to go. Sleep with me. All of you." Danny whined childishly. Tucker was losing his shit, he'd been left gasping for air while simultaneously trying to continue laughing. Sam shook her head. "Sleepover." Danny clarified. Tucker agreed by flopping onto the large bed and Sam, sighing fondly, sat down
"I'll leave you to it then." Dash said awkwardly. He turned to leave but cold hands grabbed his and he turned back to see Danny there.
"You're staying too." He demanded. "You are my friend and officially part of team phantom. This is the first of many sleepovers."
"It's true. We practically live at each others houses. Our parent each expect to see all three of us when they open our bedroom doors." Sam explained. Danny, with inhuman strength, pulled Dash to the bed and shoved the poor guy between Sam and Tucker before flopping next to Sam. The bed was big enough that they each fit comfortably.
"I've never been to a sleepover but I'm pretty sure they usually have separate beds." Dash mumbled.
"Nah, that's movie logic. Most sleepovers are unplanned and end up with many kiddos sharing one bed." Danny said cheerfully, hugging a stuffed jack-o-lantern plushie to his chest. "Now shhhh, Mr Umpkin is tired."
"Mr Umpkin?" Dash asked out of habit.
"His Jack-o-lantern plushie." Tucker pointed over Dash's side towards the pumpkin grinning eerily at Dash from Danny's arms. "Peter Umpkin. Or Mr P. Umpkin."
"He's very tired." Danny murmured. "We must all sleep."
"This doesn't feel awkward to you?" Dash asked Tucker quietly. The tech nerd shrugged.
"You get used to it. Danny is very cuddly. Eventually you catch the cuddle-bug from him." Tucker whispered.
"I know you don't like me. You have no reason to. But I promise I won't hurt Danny. Sam has already supplied death threats." Dash said to try and make peace with the boy situated to his left. He could hear Sam and Danny speaking quietly about the pros and cons of zoos.
"I can't beat Sam, when it comes to promises of bodily harm. But I can hack all your social media accounts and make your social life a living hell. Danny is Sam and I's whole world. We'll die before we willingly let him get hurt. So, just keep that in mind." Tucker warned. "On a lighter note... Thanks. Knowing we have an ally in both a teacher and a popular kid, it's somewhat comforting. I don't trust you a whole lot but Danny does, and I trust him."
"I promise I won't let him down." Dash said before looking at the ceiling. He wasn't sure when he'd dozed off but he was woken up by Sam asking him to get Danny up, since he knew the trick.
"Danny get up." He said.
"Never." Danny said burying his head under the pillow. Only he and Dash were currently on the mattress. Sam and Tucker were standing a safe distance away.
"Danny... I'll ask if we can make pancakes again." Dash offered.
"Banana?" A pair of blue eyes peered out from under the pillow.
"Banana." Dash stated.
"You're gonna make me fat." The eyes narrowed.
"I highly doubt that's possible." Dash snorted. "You're a twig."
"I'm the greatest damn twig you've ever seen." Danny huffed sitting up, letting the pillow fall to his side. He looked around and spotted Mr Umpkin nearby and picked the plushie up.
"Can't argue with that." Dash agreed. Danny grinned and spotted Sam and Tucker.
"Morning Danny." Tucker said with a sly grin.
"There is no morning Danny." Danny said seriously. "Only dead till to noon Danny. Well... Half dead..."
"So. Pancakes." Sam mused. Danny slipped off the bed, hissing in distaste at the cold floor, Sam and Tucker must have slipped off to get their day clothes on and Dash had been dressed the night before. Danny was dressed in fuzzy pyjamas pants that had the pacman ghost symbols on them, and a long sleeve top with pacman on it and the bold letters reading, 'Waka waka, wake me up later.'
"Let's go." Danny decided.
"In you pyjamas?" Dash asked. Danny shrugged.
"I'm feeling lazy." The halfa mused. "And I want pancakes like... Ten minutes ago. Come on, move it people. Sweet syrupy pancakes aren't going to make themselves."
"Knowing clockwork he's already warned Pandora that you'll be wanting them." Sam chuckled.
"Ah... I love my dead timeghost dad." Danny sighed.
