Part 1 Portrait of Adia Rayaline

This portrait is one I painted at 18 in oils on Canvasette [a very thin canvas-like sheet that comes in a pad]. They are kind of hard to put in a picture frame, because they bend, but sizing is easy.

Adia Rayaline is my first character, and I created her at age 11. She's the main character in my Adia, Scientist book and the too-long Home Is Not Home and the 12 books that came after that.

I drew her on the Canvasette first in pencil, then did the oils. If I were to redo this portrait I would certainly put more shades of red and detail in her hair. Her eyes were Cerulean Blue, but with age, they are now greenish.
