If I'm being dead honest, that picture depicts perfectly how I feel right now. My parents try and shelter me away from the danger and think it's all good but there's really a storm just happening on the inside.

I feel like we need to see this:

A common question I get asked a lot is "Are you ok?"
1) Look at my face and tell me if I look ok please
2) If I'm crying, obviously I'm not on cloud 9
3) I don't have to be smiling all the time

Guys, I'm gonna be raw and real here.

We did not ask for any of this trouble. Ever since we were children, social media has existed around us. What did you expect us to do? Reject it how my clear skin rejected me? I think not. And is it really necessary to describe us like a foreign species just because more technology is around us today. Yes, we are different from the past generations but we are still humans and we are just trying to get by. And we barely remember a world without social media or smartphones because that is the world we were born into. It's like getting upset because a child drank water when they are surrounded by the ocean and saying they can barely remember a world without water. :/

And yes, getting good grades is a very important thing for us. Do you want to know why? 😃

Because that's basically all we are told.

"You need to pass your GCSEs!"
"No time for dating! You need to study!"
"I swear, you're always on that phone! You need to study!"
"School is very important, you must study!"

And you're surprised we turned out like this.

This rant isn't really aimed at anyone specifically. I just need to get this off my chest and I can't really shout at my parents. African for that matter. That would be the end of me.😃

Quote the internet, hedonistic, if you were like me and didn't know, means "engaged in the pursuit of pleasure; sensually self-indulgent".

I apologise for 81% of us that are not pregnant but personally, I will never understand where people find time to get pregnant. Maybe it's just because I have Christian parents and I just also believe that sex should be saved for after marriage. And if we are less hedonistic, then I'm glad to be born in this time because God only knows how bad it would've been if I was born earlier.

I cannot imagine how we are better behaved. Drugs, roadmen and basically everything about us screams "THE YOUTH ARE TROUBLE MAKERS!" I can't even begin to think how we are considered to be well behaved. They clearly didn't question cover teachers because I know for a fact, only an abnormal student is nice around a cover teacher.

I don't even know if we made it like a rule or something but whenever we found out we had a cover teacher, everyone would instantly be on their worst behaviour😂 It's almost like our calling to make cover teachers' lives a living hell and not even feel sorry for them. It's not even like they do anything about; they just sit there and sigh then one week later you get a report for your class about your "appalling behaviour".

Why would you even want to be a cover teacher? I could never willingly sit down and watch over 30 for a whole hour. Unless I was paid some excellent money. I already get tired taking care of my two cousins; ×15 of them would drive me crazy. I mean, you don't necessarily have to do anything if you think about it but still, that could never be me. But back to the article.

If they mean in terms of relationships, isn't that a good thing because it makes us less hedonistic? Besides we're only kids, what are you expecting? I think they honestly expect us to be more mature than we actually are to meet their expectations. Well newsflash: we're still growing up so give us time please.

Guys, don't waste your youth growing up. Youth is meant to be enjoyed.

Anyway I think if I say anything else, I could get calls out so I'll stop here.
